Every time I visit this store, there's only one cashier trying to handle what feels like 100 customers. I spend more time standing in line than I do actually shopping, and it's beyond frustrating. The store also desperately needs better organization. The aisles are cluttered with opened products, expired items, and merchandise that clearly shouldn't still be on the shelves. You can definitely find some good deals here, but you have to dig through way too much junk to get to them. A little more attention to staffing and store maintenance would make a huge difference. read more

I have to agree with all of the other reviewers, this is not a great place to shop. I was in the shopping center so I decided to stop by. You literally cannot enter the store, there is a roped off area, that you have to gain access with the help of a security guard. That was my first clue this may not be a great idea, but I decided to check them out. Decorations are on the second floor. They had some adorable Santa's. They were hard to resist. There were a lot of cute Grinch holiday decorations and gifts. It was disappointing that many of them were torn or damaged. The same could be said for there other decorations. Aside, from the Santa's everything else had some significant damage. They need to do some quality control. So, unfortunately, I wouldn't waste my time in going back there. read more

Probably one of the worst Burlington stores I've ever step foot in, and I've been to quite a few! I love a bargain just as much as the next person, but this place is an utter disgrace. Shoes and merchandise all over the floor. It's not a big store to begin with, so it was hard to maneuver a cart. Super long line with only a single associate checking customers out. I just got out of burlington in Rockville. while I were in shopping I want to go bathroom before i pay, so security said that bathroom out of order, I told him why I don't see the note?, , so I spoke with Manager , she told me that customer mess ..last night cant use it, so I went up stairs, employee who working in Burlington let me in . I went down talked to Manager(black). I don't mean color , but she cover her name on her shirt. Everyone who works here is quite terrible at customer service. I had a worker tell me there's no bathroom in the store, then proceed to let a woman and her children in. Lines are extremely long, items are never properly stocked and arranged and the cashier's are always upset to be working. I recently had a cashier by the name of "Mia" refuse to hand me my receipt after checking me out due to the fact her hands were full with other items she picked up after checking me out. Sorry Mia that you work at Burlington, hope you're happier tomorrow. The value is burlington so everything is fairly priced and discounts are to be found but not worth the hassle of the terrible customer service, I'll drive further to Greenbelt for a better experience. read more

Coming from a former employee of 4 years of working at the Burlington Coat Factory who was transferred from Gaithersburg to the Rockville location. For those who are looking to work at the Rockville Burlington Coat Factory location (especially for the young females) let me tell you why I left that store. First the manager, Antonio WILL cut your hours if you don't do as he says even if it is above your role. If you take a vacation, he will cut your hours by 60%. That unfortunately wasn't the issue in this case. I left Burlington when I was a lead supervisor (I was 19 at the time) because there is a store supervisor named Bruce Johnson. Bruce was my best in the workforce only because he genuinely seemed like he was trying to help make the job easier. Then he asked me for my number for "work reasons" but he DID NOT stop calling my phone just to talk about anything that isn't work related every single day. There would be days that I just simply wouldn't even call back or respond back to his messages. There would be days that he would joke with other coworkers talking about me because he would point and look directly at me while being 5 ft away from me. Then one day after work he asked if I wanted to go to McDonalds to get something to eat and I didn't think that anything would happen so I said yes. He drove me to get food then we came back to the parking lot of Burlington then he proceeded to say "i'll pay you 40$ a month to bring me 2 plates of food, a neck massage, and a 3 minute hug." And I asked him if he was crazy and he said "no im dead ass, i see that you need the money" I told him that i don't like hugs and reminded him that he is my coworker and MY SUPERVISOR and that i would rather struggle with the hours that i was being given. He then replied saying that all of that didn't matter and that I would still be receiving an extra 40$, at this point I was VERY uncomfortable and said that I'll think about it and I proceeded to step out of the car. Before I was about to shut the door he then shouted "SUGAR BABY IN THE MAKING". Later that night I couldn't sleep in disgust from my supervisor that I texted him "yeah see, that 3 minute hug is kinda crazy. I don't even like giving people hugs, very much less the people that I work with and giving you a massage TWICE a month or in general is also kinda crazy. I don't mind bringing you food because I know the food I make is good BUT you can keep the money. Don't be tweaking out on me about it. I'm just cutting out the weird shit. No offense man but i got a person" Then he said that he was joking. Later that day he called and I didn't answer and he texted asking me to call him and I said that I was asleep. 3 days later, he texted "can you talk or nah" and i told him to wait till i got home then i texted him asking if it was about my register being short, then he replied with "if u don't wanna talk, I understand" NO SUPERVISOR WHO IS IN THEIR MID 30'S - 40'S SHOULD BE TALKING OR ACTING LIKE THIS TO A COWORKER VERY MUCH LESS SOMEONE WHOS 19. So for those who are looking for a job, and you are interested in working at burlington in the rockville location, Please be aware of this pervert. read more

This is the absolute WORST store. How can this be?? They just opened!! Entirely way over stocked. Items are a mess on shelves. It's two levels but no cart escalator so trek to the back of the store through all the STUFF and get in an elevator, IF you find the button which is hidden behind merchandise. Waited in line for 20 minutes with only three ppl ahead of me upon which I just walked out. In the second trip, bless the young man who checked me out. I had two frAgile ceramic pieces he just put in the bag along with my other metal pieces. Ummmm can you wrap that for me. Yeah. If there was one word to describe this place it would be CHAOTIC. If you've ever been to a Burlington Coat Factory store in this area, then you know how disorganized, dirty, and overwhelming it is to be in one. This store isn't an exception to that. Despite it being a fairly new store that recently opened up and replaced what was once Barnes and Noble, this place is never cleaned and organized. You're stepping on merchandise or sifting through damaged items most of the time. This store has a lot of inventory but you really have to spend time digging through all of it to hope that you find something worth buying. In my opinion, there could have been a better store that was placed in this location. read more

what an awful experience. manager was a jerk, insulted me and other customrs, used foul language, threatened one nice gentleman to call the police even though he was polite, unbelievable bad experience. the day manager or loss prevention guy, whatever he was, acted horribly. i saw a few people who were shopping leave the story, thus the store lost money because of this jerk. never shopping there again. don't believe me how bad this place is...go see for yourself. all i can say is you were warned by a shocked customer. read more

This place has the tightest security of any building I have been to in my life including DC federal office buildings. They make you wait at the entrance with a security guard when you walk in and at first I thought it was because they have a limited number of people in the store at once, which may be true, but shouldn't be. As others have mentioned there is no cart escalator so if you have a cart you have to go to the elevator in the back. There are 2 elevators in the back with a post in between so it is hard to see both elevators at the same time to see which one is open. This is a small store, 2 levels but the escalators take up a large amount of floor space on both levels. The pet dept is basically nonexistent, which is surprising because TJ Maxx and Marshalls, their most direct rivals, have large pet depts. The Silver Spring and Columbia Heights Burlingtons are way bigger, as is Greenbelt. read more

I'm not even sure where to start so here goes: by far one of the ABSOLUTE worse retail establishments I have EVER been in! From the "Loss Prevention" team greeting (with them looking at you like you are a criminal) to "tornado" level disorganization to the fact that it smells like POOP. The store is so incredibly disorganized that you know it is not ever properly cleaned or re-stocked. Nothing is where it should be and a lot of the items were dingy--like they were returns or just plain OLD! Staff seem unconcerned or unaware (maybe both). But, the killer for this shopper was ThAT smell! I'm pretty sure someone left a dirty diaper on a shelf somewhere because it was a strong stench! The levels of apathy at this store is phenomenal. I am amazed that they are still in business. Between the store manager going on weed breaks, to the lack of organization in the inventory, I couldn't even be angry. I was cracking up laughing at how poorly run the store is.
