6.9.23 This location is located in Pike & Rose and is one of the largest in the DMV area that I am aware of. It's two levels. I don't shop here often, but was in the area to have dinner and was killing time beforehand. It is located right next to the garage which is convenient. They have a lot of tank tops and neutral colors. Unfortunately the quality of the material is on the cheaper side and I don't think it would last long. Also don't like that most of the laundering instructions say that they can't be tumbled dried. I typically don't purchase items that have to hang or line dry unless I really it. I found and purchased a black top that was on the dressier side. Their styles are fun snd tailored to younger clientele so I am a fan, but likely won't shop here often due to the quality and laundering instructions. read more

Two male employees at this location are pure trash. They refused to help with anything yesterday. They walk around with angry long faces and act annoyed when you ask them a question. I asked them to hold my clothes for a minute while I ran to the restroom. They said no and yelled at me in front of other customers. I hate these stupid companies. read more

H&M is a great store however this location seems to be impacted by a sewer smell. I have heard and experienced this before at Pike & Rose. I know it's not just the heat but obviously that doesn't help either. My rating is due to the smell. read more

I'm taking a trip soon and wanted to make sure I have the right fashion selection for my travel photos. I think H & M, was the only store to carry the wild print patterns I wanted for my upcoming trip. I love them for their dressy clothing, and fashion accessories. I usually stock up a few times a year, buying scrunchies, hair clips and headbands. It's an excellent place to buy fun, moderately price earrings, you won't be afraid to lose. H & M also carries fun quirky sock, which I buy as gifts for cousins and their sons. Sometimes, they have playful clothing, retro designs and unique children's clothing. The children clothing is imaginative, stylish and I'm sure beloved by those who wear them. Recently, I purchased a bodysuit with Frankenstein's Monster on it. It was the perfect choice for an 80's party I attended. They also usually offer the most adorable hats, gloves and earrings. It's a good place to buy presents for younger friends, male or female. You might say, they carry clothing for almost everybody on your gift list. They also, sometimes have killer end of the year sales, last year I purchased a heavy sweater for only $6, on their clearance rack. H & M a great place to buy fashion on a budget. read more

Dropped by only because I knew they had recently opened, although this was not my first time in an H&M store - I just haven't been in one of their stores in a while. Once I entered I remembered now...I liked the prices (the items I looked at ranged between $12.99 to $34.99 - there were other prices). Shopped for a few tops - as I tried them on, some worked and some did not, but I found one or two that did and I purchased them. The guy that worked the changing room was helpful and friendly. Street level as you enter the store, women's clothing are on the left and men's are on the right; You can take the escalator upstairs where the clothes seemed to be more casual and they also had accessories as well. Really disappointed with this store. For starters it's 2 levels with fitting rooms only upstairs. So if you need a different size its a hassle to go down then back up again. I did not find the displays to be eye-catching at all. The whole first floor I felt like I was in a black and white movie - all neutral, no color. I thought maybe it was because it was conservative work wear, but the entire floor was a bit much. Upstairs I did not find much - a few more pops of color but very much high school girl fashion. A very blah store. So if you're not looking for bland workwear or teen wear, you may be disappointed. read more

I don't shop often at H&M, mainly when I am with my granddaughter. We stopped in this store as we were in the area. It was one of the neatest H&M stores that I've been in. There were a lot of cocktail style dresses. I thought if I had to wear a dress and didn't want to spend a lot of money this might be the place to look. My main problem with the store was the staff. The male cashier was all right but a women sorting merchandise was pretty rude. When I pointed out a potential tripping hazard to her that needed to be fixed she acted really annoyed. read more

When I come into the H&M shop at Pike in Rose in North Bethesda, I don't get any attention or the help I need. The store is a mess and employees are usually rude. I was asking an employee named Sophie for help and she was walking away trying to ignore me. She wouldn't even give me eye contact and said she was "new" and that she didn't know much. I've seen her before. She was not a new employee. She lied to me to avoid giving any type of customer service, looked angry, was hostile with no smile and gave me no type of greeting. I can't understand why management hires people like this that hurt the store image. I'm never coming back here unless I need to return ordered items. I'll be going to Wheaton Mall. read more

I generally like H&M, and even this store, but my experience tonight might be enough to convince me not to return. I came in with a friend and we were shopping for work clothes. We walked in around 7:45, and browsed for a bit before finding a couple items to try on. The salesmen downstairs were perfectly nice, but when we went upstairs to go to the dressing room, after a few minutes a woman flagged us down and said very rudely "don't you know the store is closed?!" And basically pushed us out the door. I definitely wanted to buy the clothes I had in my hand, but I was rushed out and left with a bad taste in my mouth. I checked the time and it was 7:59, and then I checked Yelp and saw that yes the store does close at 8pm. However, we walked in with no problem and no warning that we had to be out quickly. In fact, when we left the front door was still wide open! I've worked retail and I know that it's annoying when customers come in close to closing. But I also know that you're supposed to let them finish their business and give them at least a little time to decide and make their purchases before gently telling them the store is closing. I felt rushed out and like the saleswoman had no interest in making sales for the store, just pushing us out so she could close up. As we walked out, there were still customers browsing and checking out, and the front door was still wide open. Again no one told us the store was closing. So we were rushed out for no good reason and it makes me just not want to return to the store. I can take my business elsewhere. read more

Been to this store a couple of times and had good shopping experiences. 2 floors. Men's section is on the right on the first floor. Good selection of clothes, ranging from shirts, Dress shirts, Polos, Pants, Shorts, Blazers and accessories. Prices are very reasonable. Very affordable for the most part and clothes fits nicely. Like the modern styles to fit the latest trends. I enjoy shopping at this store whenever I get a chance to. Good new location, too. It's located around some of my favorite dine-in spots... read more

On Sunday, March 19, 2023 I planned to take my sister shopping before she returns to college and visited this H&M. She picked out so many amazing pieces and decided to try them on before purchasing. Only to find a huge rack of clothes and an awful hand-crafted cardboard sign that read closed in blocking the fitting room! The store representative informed me that they were "backed up" with clothes to put back and unable to accommodate us. In my disbelief, I located another store representative (young lady with bright red hair) who claimed to be the manager at my request to speak to one, and unfortunately doubled down on the fact that I would have to put back all the hundreds of dollars in merchandise because of this stores inability to manage staff and fitting rooms. I didn't expect this from this location and left very dissatisfied with the service or lack there of. Don't plan to return! read more

Extremely poor experience. I had never been in one place where every sales person does everything possible to avoid any contact with all customers. While in the store, neither I or any other customer was greeted, made eye contact with or spoken a word to other than mumbling. Fitting rooms were filthy with flying dust bunnies, yuck. Overall, horrible and negative experience. Do not go but not for the clothing which is quite great but for the very poor staff. read more

The store looks lovely, but the customer service is horrible. Unfriendly staff, unknowledgeable staff and more importantly they act like they don't want to help you! When the store first opened they were playing (very loud) profanity-laced rap music, I had to seek out the manager (who looked like she was barely out of middle school-hence the problem), she said she did not even notice the "n"-word and the "f"-bombs being dropped in the music. The escalators don't work half the times I have been in there. They do have a fair amount of merchandise in the location and that is the reason why they have a whopping 2 stars. Whoever is the manager needs to get it together and hire people with some customer service skills that want to work there and not lazy young adults that don't give a hoot. Very disappointed, Usually love H&M one of my favorite stores to go shopping but this location is terrible. Management is rude and standoffish, seems like every complaint was handled with it's not our problem and they were not dealing with their employees professionally. Been here several times already. This location has 2 hour free parking in the garage. The store was very clean. Yay! I walked in the store due to the big sale event happening. Hello, people 'SALE' I am there! The customer service was not over the top. As an advid shopper for deals, I found the signs on top of the racks misleading, for example sign said $10 (no other wording, believe me I always look) I was led to believe it's $10. Right? WRONG! The items rang up for price on tag, I told her I got all these from the sign that reads $10, the response...wait for it... NOT WHOOPS sign in the wrong place, it was... "the items start at $10". I was like wait a minute (confusion hit, did my eyes mislead me?). So I walk over and take another look at the sign. It was a big $10, no words like "starting at", "begins" and I spun around and these signs were all over the store, $7, $15, etc. How can you just opened this store and have such confusion for the customers? I said what about this sweater? She said $40?! Sign on the rack said $9.99. Wouldn't you know it, the sign said $9.99 and very small print 'leggings", but folks the entire rack was sweaters!!! All colors, black, grey, plum, and off white - just sweaters. No leggings. That sign was in the wrong place. Listen folks, I heard about H&M so I decided to give it a shot. This location, I can't take time to shop, wait only in a 2 line lane for a good bit to find out my items do not match the price on the rack, nor that I can not return an item because their return option isn't working. Yes, you read that right. Came back to return an item and was told no return, but free to look at other items similar to the return price. Wow, thanks! Sorry but I can't shop this store. read more

I walked in around 7:45 PM. Walked around downstairs for 15 mins, picked up a bunch of stuff. Went to go up the escalators but it was blocked off. I asked the cashier why, she said "We're closed. We close at 8." Valid. I was ignorant of their closing time because it's a new store. I said, "OK, so I can't go upstairs?" She just stared at me and said "No." I looked at my phone clock, it was 8:01!! Never in my years working in retail would anyone let us close the store to people who were already in the store, let alone tell a customer No!! You let people finish their shopping and purchase. I put all my stuff down, and asked her to put it back. They didn't get a dollar out of me and I won't be back. read more

This H&M is located at Pike & Rose and has a nice selection of clothing. We walked in there to pass some time as we were waiting for our lunch reservation at a nearby restaurant and we enjoyed walking through and looking at their clothing options for about 15-20 minutes. We were particularly looking for a winter cap and found some great options there (though we ended up getting one from LL Bean down the street). There is parking conveniently nearby at the Pike & Rose public parking lot across the street, and there's a bowling alley and movie theater nearby as well. Perfectly located and great selection of clothes = worth a visit. read more

This was my first time in an H&M store and it will definitely be my last. This store was absolutely the dirtiest clothing store I have ever been in. The main areas weren't quite as bad, but the dressing rooms were FILTHY. Piles of dust and debris in the corners ... It looked as though no one had swept the floor in weeks, much less washed it. It was absolutely disgusting. I was afraid to touch anything, put my purse down, or pull-on pants. The prices are low, but the shopping experience was so awful (from unhelpful salespeople -- although to be fair -- they all seemed exhausted and overwhelmed), disorganized racks, and completely inconsistent sizing (and oversizing -- so for example, if you normally wear a small to medium, you would wear an extra small in most things, but the sizing seemed to vary wildly). But in any event, I'm not exactly squeamish, but I could not get over the dirt. Gross! read more
