Came here to pick up some toiletries items. This Marshall's had a great selection toiletry items and the value was great as well. I did manage to pick up some items at a great price. They had a great selection of women's clothing for this season, but I didn't want to get distracted from my initial mission.... The checkout line was long, as usual, but moved rather quickly with the service being ok and staff very pleasant. I would suggest going to this store once it opens and preferably during the week to cut down on the long checkout lines. All in all, a nice store to pick up toiletry items at great prices. I visited the Marshall's today looking for particular items. I was pleasantly surprised to find garments in my size and on clearance. I didn't notice one of the garments didn't have a price tag at all, and so when I went to the clerk to be rung up, she pointed it out. I told her that I got it from the same clearance rack, and that there were other garments on the rack of the same brand. She started speaking low and put it to the side; I was under the assumption that she would perhaps call an associate for assistance to find a similar item. No! She just put that item to the side! I told her, I still wanted it, and if it was possible to get something similar. The other garment set I was rung up for was the same price - clearance - and same THING - right down to the quantity in the set! It was just not the same brand. She then shrugged her shoulders and offered a sheepish smile, and I just took that as my indication that I was going to have to get this item myself. So I went - walk of shame - while there were associates in the area who were on walkie and could have easily been communicated with to find an item - to find it myself. I initially became frustrated when I returned to the queue and found it to have accumulated quite a line. I was relieved to see that the clerk waved me back to my spot - though I'm not sure if the customers in front of me were going to be serviced or were communicated with in any capacity... Asides from the lack of initiative from customer service - the merchandise selection is pretty broad and there is are generous clearance deals throughout the store. I was able to find what I was looking for and some things that crossed my mind. read more

3.17.23 IMO, this is the middle tier of discounted department stores. Ross is a tier lower and TJ Maxx reigns. It has less designer name brands compared to TJ Maxx, but a better selection than Ross. The jewelry selection is limited. It's hit or miss for me here. Usually I am unlucky with my finds. Today though after trying on several articles of clothing, I left with a new thermos lunch bag, which had two compartments. read more

I like this location. I don't come often and I've only shopped here a few times, but I've always found the store is to be clean and well stocked. On my most recent visit, I really stopped in because I'm on the hunt for new luggage. As it goes with these stores, it's hit or miss, and you just never know what you'll find. I couldn't decide on which luggage I wanted, so I'll have to give it more time. They had a good selection, but I got overwhelmed. I ended up walking around and found some makeup, casual outfits, and a few work fits as well. Speaking of work, I really think I should start dressing nice again and not look so homeless. I mean, the pandemic did make me relax my dress code a bit, but it's time I step it up some. I'm hopeful my new finds will help me on that goal. Anyway, the lines were long, so pack some patience. I am a perfume collector and I can always find some great deals on perfume here as well as some great skincare products. I found high end black hair care products for great deals. Tracy Ellis line can be found for less than $20 make sure you check the clearance section as well. There are always some great find in clearance that they have marked down for sitting in the store too long. I also price check items against the same items because they often have the same exact item for different prices since one has been on display longer. If you are into jewelry make sure you don't pass up their jewelry section with designer brans like Gucci and Kate Spade. read more

Marshalls is such a great store. A little bit of everything. I come here every few weeks just to see what I find. I've found great deals on on clothes, it's the best place to buy luggage, and I've bought so many dog toys here. (My dogs, Oscar and Mayer, are so spoiled.) It's also a great place to buy cheap ear buds ad phone charging cables. And the inventory changes so you never know what you might find. This was first time in Marshalls in about two and half years. This visit was good. I arrived shortly after the store opened at 7:00 am. It was great. I was able to look around and get some of the top picks. The staff members were friendly and most provided greetings upon entering and exiting. At the checkout counter, there were only two of us in line, which is quite unusual for Marshalls, but understandable for the time of day. read more

Marshall's is great, a one-stop shop for everything but fresh food (there is plenty of bagged chips and candy). I am not a regular shopper, however. I go to Marshall's with a particular need in mind, for something I don't want to pay a lot for. For example, yesterday I visited Marshall's in search of a water bottle. There was a variety of options and I was able to find something in my price point. The major drawback (and plus) is there is a ton of stuff in there and it's all over the place. There are departments and such, but all the clothing sections look like clothes were flung to and fro and left there. I feel bad for the people who work there and try to wrangle all the stuff into neatness. That said, each department has a lot a variety and I'm usually able to find what I'm looking for. I also love perusing all the temping last minute items that fill the shelves of the checkout line. Customer service is decent. read more

The worst Marshall's I've been to. Now the merchandise is great but the staff is horrible. Very combative, very ignorant to Marshall's policies and disrespectful to other customer. Talk about other customers in front of customers when they are at the cash registered. Never seen Marshall employ staff like these. Not good for business. read more

I stopped in to this Marshall's for bathroom items. They had a great selection and items were affordably priced. The aisles were neat and clean (it was a Tuesday afternoon), things were well organized, and although the check out line was long it moved fairly quickly. I have found that staff here aren't as friendly as you might expect but I'm not as bothered after getting some pretty good deals. read more

This Marshall's is very well organized, and the prices are AMAZING! It even beats out my local Marshall's. I'm on a hunt for all different sizes of picture frames, and most 4x6 frames were $4.99 or less, where the same ones were $5.99 at the Rockville Marshall's! How does that happen? A couple of 8x10s were $5.50. Pretty nuts. I didn't look much at the other products, but I really liked how the store was well kept, clean and organized. read more

Bed bugs!!! Watch out with what you buy here I just bought two decorative pillows from here and have bed bugs all over my room now. Big very expensive and difficult thing to get rid of. Pillows are positive for having them on there and timing is right said the expert from purchase date to bite and infestation time. Good luck just fare warning. read more

I just received THEE worse customer service from your store manager Tina, at the Snowden Square Marshalls in Columbia Maryland. I found the only Kate spade headband in the store but it was damaged (the backing was lifting from the headband base). While the backing was still a tad bit sticky each time I applied pressure to reattach it, it would still lift when I attempted to move it around as my daughter would when wearing it. I spoke to the cashier Aly about having the headband marked down because of this issue. She looked at it smoothed with her fingers, told me "all You have to do is push it back on" because "it looks fine to me". I asked her to find out from her manager is there anything that can be taken off because I will still need to go home and hot glue gun this defective headband. Aly walks over to her manager, has a short conversation, the manager looks down at me and continues to talk with Aly. Aly then returns to the register where I am waiting and begins to bag the rest of my purchases. I asked her what did her manager say, Aly told me "oh she said no". I asked Aly to call her manager because I would like to speak with her, she does and the manager replies very annoyed "yes" without coming down to the actual register. Because I refuse to yell to the end of the cash wrap what I would like to say to her I didn't answer. If a customer requests to speak to a manager you do not yell "yes" from 5 registers away-you come to see what the issue is. Once Tina came I explained what my issue was and that I am requesting this item be marked down because it's defective. Tina replied "it's nothing wrong with it". I then begin to show her exactly what was wrong and she told me that "it can easily be fixed ! " What? Sooooo let me get this straight she expects me to buy it at regular price AND go home to fix it?!?! Unbelievable. She then asked me if I still wanted it ! What?!? At that point I told her no thank you. Now I have never received such poor customer service from a leader! Your store manager sets the tone for your cashiers and should be have some sense of great customer service. My experience was despicable. Would taking .80cent off hurt Tina when I just spent $300? NO. Would .80 cent make that big of a deal to my purchase? NO! But what .80 cent did do was cause me, a loyal and faithful shopper to review your company on every platform available and to share my negative experience. I hope this can be used as a training opportunity, there is no way this situation should've been handled the way it was. Unprofessional on every level! Not good Marshalls Columbia. It is like organized chaos at affordable prices! Yes this place is pretty nice if you are looking for inexpensive clothing and household items, if you are not too specific on exactly what you want. This store is fairly large and has an abundance amount of clothes for the whole family. I love buying my kids clothes here, becuase you can often find designer clothes for more than half off. The lines are never too long and the customer is good. I will come here as long as the store stays stocked with goodness and the prices remain inexpensive! read more

Great parking, central location, what's not to like. This is Marshalls, so you're trading the "elegance" of a normal department store for a more limited selection and saving some serious dough. I recently had to buy some grownup clothes and I popped over to Marshals since it causes me physical pain to pay retail at department stores. I saved roughly 70% off retail, so SWEET! Be smart about it. Don't come here when it's crazy busy because the crowds can be awful and the parking can be a drag. For example I wouldn't just browse here during the Christmas season. read more

I love this location I can normally find great things here and the cashier Kiki is always smiling and nice to my children the lady manager was very helpful and it's usually organized with the exception of holidays shopping but I think that's most places lol it's convenient to get to and Kiki also informed me that Homegoods and TJ-Max where of the same company which I never knew so now I shop at all three stores now. 1/5/18 was at what was my favorite Marshalls today and the products and store was ok but management has changed and the one woman manager I think her name badge said Constance was not only rude to the staff in front of us customers as well as rude to us customers she didn't speak when spoken directly to and was very dismissive to everyone she could definitely use one training in proper customer service i will definitely not be going to that location for a while she had a bully like attitude I hope she was just having a bad day and at least offered her staff an apology after we left because she certainly didn't offer any apology to us before we put our things down and left the store read more

I can't browse freely in the beauty and skin section because there's an employee there who makes it her job to treat everyone like they're going to steal. Literally taking things out of people's carts and putting security devices on them, standing with her arms crossed and just staring at people while they shop. You guys have security and that's their job. I've been to many different Marshall's and have never seen this type of passive aggressive behavior from an employee, it's unacceptable. read more

My friend and I came here to get winter boots and a new coat. And we totally lucked out! Super cute Calvin Klein grey coat and lots of cute tops . Every section was super organized, the staff was friendly, and we left feeling accomplished without shelling out TOO much money. In general, I am neutral on Marshall's. I almost never find anything that I need. However, today my wife had to exchange a Christmas present so we went to this location. The store was better organized than most Marshall's and did not have the chaotic feel that some of them do. We found exactly what she needed and were out of there in under 15 minutes. I as a customer who visits this location relatively frequently feel the need to write a review about this particular branch. It seems that ever since the management changed that the shopping experience has changed for the worse. I think the new manager's name is Constance. The previous manager was fair and respectful to her employees and customers, but the new manager needs some humbling and lesson on basic manners. I've observed on several occasions that she speaks down to both us customers and employees. I would like to think that maybe it wasn't a good day for her, but the times that I've been there since the change in management, it seems that this the normal behavior there. I feel sorry for the employees that have to tolerate a bully boss on a daily basis because it seems like employees aren't valued at this store. Furthermore, it seems that this extends to the assistant manager. A tall lady which I think her name was Maegan. Very similar to the prior experience, I tried to return an item before. During the return, she was very condescending to the poor cashier indirectly ridiculing her because she didn't know certain things to do during the return. I get it that the cashier has her expectations as an employee, but its no excuse for making her upset over something that she can easily learn with good management support which it seems doesn't exist there. She was also rough with me as a customer as well. If these managers want their employees to work well, then they have to show respect to their employees. I prefer to spend my money in another Marshalls that respects their employees and customers. read more

I love Marshalls, so I decided to check this one out on my way back from work today. When you walk in, there is nothing different from other Marshall's, the setup seems pretty similar between the stores. However, their shoe selection was amazing! I love to shop for shoes and I could not decide which one I loved best. And to make it even better, there were a pair of Sam Edelman's that I have been eyeing at Nordstrom for the past year--for only $71! AMAZING! But I decided to go for a pair of chic, simple black heels from BCBG that were only $40 bucks, now that's a deal! Other than the amazing shoe selection, the rest of the store was pretty decent and clean. I also picked up a jewelry holder for $10, which was similar to one that I've been looking at Urban Outfitters (which is $40 there). I also took a look at the junior's section for some clothes and they had some really nice shirts and blouses on sale for $10. I was so happy with my purchases. The only reason I took off one star is because the fitting rooms are really stuffy and it seems like there is no air circulation whatsoever in there! I can last a while in fitting rooms, especially since I really take my time with thinking through about purchases, but man..this fitting room was way to stuffy (and kinda stinky.....) If you're in the area, I would def. not miss out on this Marshall's. They have a good selection, clean store, and to make it the best, good prices! read more
