Not a fan of this location. I have shopped here a few times, for the most part they have what I'm looking for but it's not even looking for merchandise is the issue. It's the customer service. The first few times I have been here, the only person I have seen working there are the cashier. I can never find anyone of the floor to ask for help. I never see anyone stocking items or fixing the racks. My last visit is what forced me to write this review. I waited in line for 15 min I was next online and they only had one cashier, after she finished ringing up the customer they started having a personal relationship about having son's in the Marines. I worked at this Burlington for 5 years, so let me tell you all the tea!! First off, the store is a MESS because the customers have no respect for the merchandise and just toss items on the floor. The store would be cleaner if.. 1. Customers picked up after themselves. 2. Corporate wasn't cheap and hired more people. The biggest annoyance with working Burlington was that they never had cashiers, so all of the floor associates would be ringing half/most of their shift and then barely had time to clean up! It was ridiculous! (and annoying since I HATED ringing) After the pandemic, they put up fake walls and the place is now much smaller and apparently they only have two people on the floor at a time. It looks like they finally hired more cashiers, but they pretty much got every Full Timer on the floor to quit, which is so rude. Honestly, just go to the Newly opened one in Farmingville. It's much nicer. What to expect if you want to work there, 1. Expect to be put in every department and help other departments. 2. You will most likely have to learn how to ring especially if you're on the floor. 3. It's not a good place for Full-timers anymore since they got rid of them all! (I left at the right time in 2018) 4. Lowest raise I got was 2 cents, the highest raise I got was 1.50, and that was before minimum wage was about to go up. Also raises don't carry over, so if you make 13 an hour and you get a 25 cent raise, but next year minimum wage goes up to 14 an hour. You get paid 14 an hour and not 14.25. etc.. It's not cool!! 5. If you want a career with burlington, the only hope is to become a manager, but you really have to show them you're down for it. 6. The hours are ridiculous, one day you close and get home at 12 am, the next day they want you in at 7am! Walking around a giant department store tires you out and you're "Wired" for hours, it's practically impossible to fall asleep right away! But as much as I hated the place, It holds a special place in my heart. It's filled with cheap things and despair! The prices were ok, my boyfriend bought a three piece suit for prom for $180. But the place is disgusting. It smelled awful and there was bird feces in the fitting rooms. read more

Love this store! Super friendly employees and great selection! Always find different things! The cashier today was super sweet :)

It's okay for the most part. If you're on a tight budget and really need something you might find something. But it's hard to find when everything is messed up. I understand some misplaced items but more people keep mixing it up and at the end of the da it seems like no one is fixing it. The only time I see employees are at the cashiers. Never fixing anything around in the store. The jewelry section and shoes section has turned to shit. I can never find a size I'm looking for because they're either never labeled on the hangers or they're mixed with other sizes. The beauty and hair stuff seems like great quality. But you can't buy it because it's broken and shoved back in the wrong spot. Sometimes I think a TJmaxx is bad with organization but with this place, I think it has some competition. read more

Employees, especially at the register, are some of the worst. They are not respectful of customer's time and spend a lot of time talking among themselves. Store needs to hire better employees to attract more customers. Selection of products is good. Prices are excellent. Can find products there at great prices, on products that cannot even be found at other places. Plently of parking. Sylvester knows best! read more

Burlington Coat Factory.....Were more than great coats! I miss the commercials. Large location with a wide variety of coats. This location has shoes, bedding, houseware and clothing for men, women and children also! You can pretty much find anything you need in here. Now, the employees are kinda non-existent. Lol Until you get to the registers. They are present, yet it is true that they spend more time talking among themselves than actually speaking to or assisting you. But now I expect so it rarely bothers me. I will come back Burlington because its my little go-to for quick finds. The bargain is great. Happy Yelping! read more

Great items and prices here. This was my first time ever visiting a Burlington. I will say my finds were fantastic. Unfortunately, after hours of searching, the 4-item policy for the fitting rooms resulted in two employees so chatty, they didn't realize one taking them off the rack before I could try them on. They lost my ability to consider buying a handful of items. read more

Some managers are military friendly offering a 10% discount but I had a cashier today tell me their store NEVER offers a discount for military and the registers don't give her an option to do so....I guess you have to luck up and go on the days the military friendly manager is around. I would recommend military members find another option because the staff here isn't regular about respecting your service. I'm not too keen on the staff but when you're looking for dirt cheap stuff and the staff isn't a concern of yours, this Burlington is an option. read more

I'm so done with this store! The customer service is a disgrace!! I was so angry that the last two times shopping there the cashier was not only rude, but thought it was ok to treat me as if I was a thief!! Returned a broken item with the receipt within a week and she wanted to give me store credit!! Uhh no I don't think so. She was actually looking for some reason Not to refund my money. She said you have to return this in 30 days I said I just bought it! The date is right in front of you! Mind you we started with nobody behind me in line. She had to call over the manager. The manager refunded my money by the time they got their act together there must've been 20 people online. Of course everybody's looking at me like I was the problem. Then tonight I go in there and buy luggage. I try and hand the cashier the luggage which has a security tag that closes the two zippers together. I'm trying to hand it to her and she was too lazy to reach over and get it. So if the giving it to her finally she takes off the security tag and start searching the luggage like I put something in there and I was going to steal it. By this time I was so annoyed and said something to the manager. I told her instead of having a security guard stand there and do nothing at the front door maybe they should watch people on the camera instead of making a fool out of them at the register. She told me that she couldn't get anybody to do that for a minimum wage job and that I obviously don't work. Well that was it for me. I told her I never stole anything in my life and I was not gonna be treated like a thief. I respect anybody that works for an honest living. However they lost all my respect treating me as if I was dishonest. I simply told the manager and the cashier maybe that's the way they were raised and they were thieves I however was not. Nicer store than the Patchogue location. Bright and spread out. Children's coats selections are small and sparse compared to men and women sections. When i visited 3 weeks ago the coat sections in mens and womens department were packed with lots of coats. So packed you couldnt fit another coat on the rack. This weekend i went, there were SLIM pickings. I was shopping for my nana who had needed an XL or XXL and there is hardly anything left. Another disappointment as I was browsing all the sizes, were quite a few nice coats left had the fur on hoods missing. Be sure to check every detail you can find on your coat to make sure everything is there. Long checkout lines , during the week no sense of urgency to call for backup when there is one or two cashiers and the line is backed up to the entrance. When i went this weekend they had about 6 cashiers. The line was still wrapped around stretching to the next department. We found a huge selction of coats next door at Marshalls and purchased our coat from there instead. read more
