I love burn boot camp st johns Florida. The vibe is amazing and music just make you want to dance, inspirational people all shapes sizes and levels. The instructors know everyone and pushes you. I'll start this review off by saying there are a lot of great gyms around town. I believe this becomes evident when you, as an individual, find a place that's the total package of great workouts, great people, and consistent results -- Burn Elizabeth might just be that for you, like it is for me. The trainers (shout out to all y'all), the challenge of showing up and giving your all each time you step through the doors, and most importantly, the people as a whole really make this place special. From the moment you walk in, you're warmly greeted as if they've known you for some time. On top of that, the staff always give a great tour and introduction to the gym which is comforting feeling. There's even opportunities to schedule 1:1s to go over your goals and nutritional habits to dial in your fitness. But then, the workout starts...and it's even more awesome! The workouts are challenging, mentally and physically, but they offer so much potential for increasing strength, speed, and stamina. And the results from consistent attendance become pretty clear after a few weeks or so. But ya gotta keep showin' up. Again, the coaches and staff make this last part a bit easier because of how knowledgeable and passionate they are about us and about their craft. If you love being challenged, competing/exercising in a group setting, having the instructors know your name and call you out when you're slacking and getting your butt handed to you every single workout (which last only 45 minutes), Burn is the place for you! Most of the fitness classes I've attended in the past, I feel like I'm in shape for the workout and can typically keep up with the best. But with Burn, you are surrounded by people that are in all states of physical fitness, some beginners and some beast (with 10+ years on your and mothers of multiple children). I challenge you to sign up for their trial class, I particularly love the Elizabeth studio because it's well located right outside the Plaza, close to the hospitals and not far from downtown. Parking is accessible and they even carve out space for running outside (albeit very limited) for their athletic conditioning classes. And they have a noon class, which many of the other studio's don't offer, so you can workout on your lunch break (and they have a shower on site, which you'll need if you're headed back to work). The workout rotates daily, whether you're working on glutes and abs, conditioning, plyometrics, strength, etc. They're creative, you're constantly moving and it's only 45 minutes so you'll get your workout in and be done before you know it. And it's not just a workout, they keep your accountable with meetings, help your with what you're taking in and diet and offer supplements (but they don't shove these in your face if you're not interested). They have studios all around the states now, so you have options if traveling and Charlotte area is great because if you have to commute you can workout in Pineville, Elizabeth, Gastonia, etc. All in all, I highly recommend! read more

Burn Bootcamp has been one of the most effective workouts I've experienced since I moved to Charlotte a year and a half ago. The best way to describe Burn Bootcamp is circuit training. Kyle, the main trainer, motivates you push harder and go the extra mile every class. Best trainer I've had so far! I usually go to the 5:30am classes and it may get a little crowded, but that says a lot about Burn Bootcamp. Everyone loves being there because they are getting results! Not only do they focus on strength, they focus on your nutrition as well by having nutritionists and doctors come by to do speeches occasionally. It's free on the weekends so I love taking friends on a Saturday morning. They recently started offering yoga classes. Every day has a different focus, such as Athletic Conditioning with core finisher for Monday or Lower Body Strength with team finisher for Tuesday, and that's the best part of Burn Bootcamp. When I first heard about Burn Bootcamp I was intimidated because I did not think I was athletic or in shape enough to complete a "bootcamp" class or even attend regularly. I workout with a great group of ladies every morning that has awesome energy and motivates me to push through each workout and come back each morning. Killer Kyle is honestly the best trainer I have ever worked with. He is tough but he makes you feel comfortable, he is super encouraging and he really cares about your well being. He remembers everyone's pain complaints and modifies any workout to accommodate you but that doesn't mean it will be easier !! Burn Bootcamp is a great program because they don't only focus on the workout but your nutrition and measurements. The scale is not heavily considered. But let me tell you, you walk into Burn Elizabeth and you get the best workout no matter what day and no matter who is training. You will immediately be supported and helped no matter what limitations you might think you have and you will feel absolutely incredible after 45 minutes. There is nothing clique-y about this gym, everyone works together and the trainers here and just amazing. I have paid for personal training and honestly been to a lot of amazing gyms in Charlotte area but Burn Elizabeth is the BEST. Anyway, oddly enough, here I am 4 months later going every single morning. Burn bootcamp has truly changed my life. Yes, I said it...my life! I go work out every single morning (even Saturday's) with no moans and complaints. I wake up anxiously ready for the gym! The workouts are always different and target each part of your body. OK, let me start off by saying I HATE cardio. When I signed up for my first bootcamp class here, if I would have known in advance that it was a straight athletic conditioning (aka cardio) class, I would have bailed. However, I felt like I was pleasantly surprised when the 45 minutes flew by. They were great about providing options (both easier and more difficult) to accommodate all fitness levels, had good music going to distract you, and the instructor came around to help provide adjustments and motivation. While I have only been to one class thus far, the theme of each class varies every time, to include different combinations of strength training and cardio. They do not have any machines, just various props (weighted balls, free weights, ropes, etc.). There are also a variety of class times (mornings and evenings) as well as coed vs. guy/girl only to accommodate everyone's schedules and workout preferences.
