I've been a member of the Strouds fitness family for 10 years. During that time I've dabbled in…read moreother box or boutique gyms, but no matter what I always find myself back at Strouds. Kirk cares enough about his members to learn their names, their stories, and always welcomes you back with a smile. The gym itself doesn't scream "saunas and shiny wax floors" but you can tell as soon as you walk in that Strouds has been put together with intention and held together by the community that calls Strouds home. The equipment is well loved and not the newest, but there's a little bit of everything. Cardio Queen? Jump on the treadmill, stationary bike, or stair master. Meat Head? There's an entire room dedicated to being stronger than the person next to you. Fighter? There's also a room for punching and rolling around on the floor. See! Strouds has everything and welcomes everyone. You'll be better off for joining, promise!

Look this gym used to be my favorite place to be, and honestly even tho i am leaving i still wish…read morethe best for it. There are some things to look out for if you are considering this gym: 1. Be careful and read the contracts, i think they do an okay job with telling you, but remember canceling you have to "give" (whatever that's considered) a 30 day notice 2. When i left, there was no grace, the young blonde lady had some attitude and wasn't really friendly at all, (after i've been trying cancel for months but was pushed back or avoided some how) and that attitude kind of hurt because it made me feel like if i wanted to come back, i don't want to come back to that. In conclusion, it used to be a serious powerlifting/body building gym to be at, but it's slightly declined with that culture (i believe it's still there tho, and i've heard good things about their dojo) and if you aren't looking to go to a gym for that, than quite frankly the price just doesn't make sense, it will be easily 30+ dollars a month maybe a little cheaper if you get a contract. but there are gyms out there (and soon to be down the street) that are cheaper and with better equipment and facilities at that. look i've had some serious good workouts in the past there, and for the most part there is kind people, (some a little judgy) i just hate the bad taste left from that awfully passive aggressive conversation about canceling. but honestly Strouds is trying and you can tell, but just be aware of all that. Good luck

The staff was friendly and made the check-in process seamless. Coach Riley kept both the floor & treadmill groups engaged, energized and was amazing. Another unique thing about the studio is the members are not needed to wipe the equipment after each class like it's done at all other studios I have visited. The staff take care of the sanitization of equipment after each class. The facility is well-maintained and plenty of parking is available. The studio still has old equipment, which is the only reason for the four stars. Everything else was five stars all the way.

He's kind, treats every member with respect, and somehow knows everyone's name! Riley, Carrie, and Robin are also fantastic coaches who make your day brighter even when the sweat is pouring off of you. This gym is a community. After visiting OTF locations across the U.S. during work and personal trips, the camaraderie here is a step above - we cheer one another on, we congratulate, and we support. The coaches encourage this more than I've seen at other gyms. Also, this is the cleanest gym (thanks Eric!).

They assign every week a name ie - " peak week", agility etc . The exercises are suppose to support that theory. There are no machines ( only mat & weights ), so the exercises are limited- you get a good workout if you put in the effort.I generally went to the same trainer , Lauren who is very good & a very hard worker for Camp Gladiator. Camp Gladiator is a franchise based in Texas which is expanding pretty rapidly. There is alot of " corporate culture" surrounding CG from : announcements , bring a friend !!, referrals , " specials".. They have this odd " community week" which means Thurs & Friday are off( every 5th week), so just as you get your groove on for MWF workouts- BAM! not this week, Kimosabe. I'm not sure the purpose of "community week".They do have virtual & many, many different hours, days & trainers. Virtual can be a mixed bag. I personally liked the therapeutic value of nature ,community & wellness- so the program has resonated w/ me. I like the challenge of elements outside ( running on earth, weather, fresh air) Before signing up be " clear" on what subscription - there are several & they " got your card"....

To be clear, I'm a 45yr old Army veteran that can smoke ANY of there excercises. But we'll never know for sure bc I wouldnt sign up to save a life now. Keep on being ageist, Camp Gladiator. I'm sure that will work out real well for y'all.
