    Bam! Hire these guys! I am a retired Raytheon dude and I can…read more(in my own crazy sense of reality, haha) quickly determine if a contractor is any good. I inquired with some friends who they liked and had a different company originally come by to assess/repair a slow leak. The dude who came by was your typical HVAC stereotype: Came to a quick conclusion without investigation, begrudgingly answered my questions that were intended to determine if I could trust him, and then cost a ton of money. Afterwards I asked another friend and her info brought me to ComfortX HVAC. I was extremely amazed they have 97 reviews of all 5-stars...you never see that! I was still cautiously optimistic since I trust, but verify. Matt came by with trainee DJ. Matt used a refrigerant sniffer to validate my evaporator coils were leaking and ruled out the condenser coils. Matt took his time and truly answered my questions with FACTS, not guesses. I was going to have the coils replaced regardless, so I held my breath while I asking how much...hoping he would not ruin my great impression of ComfortX HVAC. His quote was $800 less than the prior guy and solidly within the range of what AI says a replacement coil should cost. They came back a little later in the week and all was good! All of this is to say that ComfortX HVAC is my new go-to HVAC company -- honest, factual, technically competent, reasonably priced, and treats me with respect. I hope they keep the same attitude and values since finding them is like finding a great mechanic, an honest car salesman, a trusted friend. Thank you ComfortX HVAC. Three AC companies rose to the top after a deep dive into online reviews - prioritizing quality equipment, excellent service, and fair pricing. Furthermore, my wife consulted online AI (ChatGPT) to see if there was something my manual searching might have missed. Sure enough, AI highly recommended a company I'd not even noticed - ComfortX HVAC. We contacted all four companies for quotes. Here are our best experiences among these companies (wherein 3 of the 4 were actually pretty good!): Initial contact & response - #1 = ComfortX On site jobwalk and Q&A - #1 = ComfortX Most appropriate system proposed - #1 = ComfortX Best overall price quoted - #1 = ComfortX Most expedient preparation & scheduling - #1 = ComfortX I know this sounds incredible, but it's all true. We were blown away that these guys could be THAT MUCH above and beyond their competitors, but this is supported by the fact that they boast nothing but solid 5-star Yelp & Google reviews. My point of contact was Matt, who happens to be one of the owners. Matt and his associate, Elias, were back out quickly to efficiently perform an outstanding installation in just one day. That is often what separates a good business from one that truly stands out. A seven-day guarantee may work in theory, but for small business owners like myself, flexibility matters. I operate a transportation service, and my schedule doesn't always allow me to address technical issues within such a narrow window. A 30-day guarantee would reflect an understanding of real-world business pressures and remove unnecessary strain. Although the payment for Greg's services was refunded, that wasn't the outcome I was looking for. I wasn't seeking my money back -- I simply wanted the work completed properly and brought to a clear, final resolution. As it stands today, the matter still feels unfinished. One part that was honestly disconcerting for me is that I've had a very good relationship with your company for nearly 20 years -- essentially since you first started. I remember when you were working out of your living room, and I've genuinely been glad to see how the business has grown over time. What caught me off guard was that the young lady I spoke with had no awareness of who I was or the history I've had with Geeks2You. After hanging up, I felt less like a long-standing client and more like just another name in the system. Loyalty and history matter -- especially in small business relationships.
