Burnt Cedar Beach is a nice private beach. It is open to the public but you usually have to pay. Some very nice views of Lake Tahoe. Gets crowded because it's small so parking can be hard to find. The place is pretty nice and quiet. It seems like a good place for playing around. Of course there's the lake. The water looks very nice from here, and the sand is clean too. Along with the beach are other activities. There's a pool and a volleyball court along with a place to get snacks. Beach access sucks because of paying the fee. It does have a lot to offer however. The best thing is the lake views.

Beautiful, private beach that you can get into during off season times. Gorgeous views. Quiet. The water was like glass today. It was warm in the sun. Beautiful grassy areas. Geese hanging out. Paradiso in my opinion. Wonderful place to chillax and enjoy the views.

You are able to enjoy sand, grass, pool, Tahoe, and sun! There is play areas and pleanty of shade for the fair skinned. This was my favorite place to go during the summer when I was a kid. In many ways it still is.

Burnt Cedar Beach is such a wonderful beach on Lake Tahoe, it's just perfect. I visit from Florida about once a year and I am lucky enough to know somebody who lives in incline Village and is able to get me a ticket to come in with her, she is so generous to do that because it is not easy for people to get the tickets. It has a little beach on Lake Tahoe with a beautiful view. most people crowd around the waters edge especially if you have children who are going to be swimming and you need to keep an eye on them.you want to get there early and to get that spot. Otherwise near the parking lot there's huge grassy area with a lot of trees and shade. although that part of the beach is not a swimming beach but it's beautiful place to lay down a blanket or some chairs and have a picnic and you can still have the great view Lake Tahoe.

This is our favorite "private" beach in Incline. You'll have to pay an entrance fee (think it was $30 for the whole family) but it's worth it. The beach is great, the the grassy area with grill and playground are great for the kids to play on, there's a pool with a water slide, and a bar with beach service. Kayaks and SUPs are available for rent.

The bathrooms here are so clean! Was very impressed. Great views of Lake Tahoe here! Picnic tables everywhere

This is a private beach so you just can't go without a punch card access. Would be nice to make it clear on the map

Easily my most favorite beach in Tahoe. I came to Tahoe every summer growing up, and although it's…read moregotten a lot more crowded overall, it's still my favorite place to go when I can come out here. The water is so clear and beautiful, and it's one of the best places to paddleboard/kayak. Some tips for anyone wanting to go here for the day: 1. PLAN AHEAD! Yes, vacations are supposed to be relaxing but if you don't put in the work to research and plan things ahead of time, then of course you're going to be disappointed when you can't find parking or gain entry to not only this beach, but tons of other places in the basin. They've implemented a parking reservation system sometime in the last 2 or so years. Go to Reserve Nevada and it's $10 for NV license plates, and $15 for out of state plates. 2. GO EARLY! Rule of thumb with anything in Tahoe (or any major park really) is go early or go home. I left SLT at around 6:30 am to give myself wiggle room getting up to the entrance for Sand Harbor. They open at exactly 8:00 am on the dot. 3. Entering the lot: Coming from the south/SLT, it will be a left turn into the entrance. You can queue up in the middle lane dividing the lanes going north/south, but there is limited space to do so. If it's too early, you can keep driving and park at the parking lot for Monkey Rock Trailhead for a bit before turning back to head down to the entrance. Coming from the north/Incline Village, it's a right turn into the entrance. They block off the right turn lane into the entrance with cones if they aren't open yet, so you have to time it right if you're approaching that way. 4. Paddleboarding: Clearly Tahoe is the only paddleboard/kayak rental business on shore. It's pretty pricy at $60 for 2 hours on a paddleboard. I opted instead to rent a paddleboard from SUP Tahoe in SLT and it was $50 for the whole day + $15 overnight fee. That way, I could have the paddleboard picked up and loaded onto my sedan the night before and head out to Sand Harbor early in the AM. If you go early like I do, you get to experience the best water conditions because morning is much calmer than the afternoon. As always, getting a reservation is easier on a weekday. I planned my whole trip only a few days before going, in late June/early July (before 4th of July). It's easy if you avoid major holidays and weekends. If you think the main beach is too crowded, you can paddleboard or kayak further up the shore and explore a bit!

Sand Harbor is one of those places that never gets old. The crystal-clear water, granite boulders,…read moreand mountain views make it one of the most beautiful beaches on Lake Tahoe. The only downside? Getting in can be a challenge. If you're planning a visit, here's a tip: instead of trying to park at Sand Harbor or Tunnel Creek/Hidden Beach (which fills up very early), park in Incline Village at the Wells Fargo shopping center and hop on the free East Shore Express Shuttle. Since it's one of the first shuttle stops, you'll have a much better chance of getting a seat before it fills up. Once you're there, spend the day floating in the unbelievably clear water, exploring the rocks, or just soaking up the views. Don't forget to stop by the snack bar for an ice cream or, if you're in vacation mode, a Rum Runner. A little planning goes a long way, and this beach is absolutely worth it. Have a great Tahoe day!

Skunk Harbor not only combines all of these wonderful attributes but also throws in a bit of history for you to check out too! Parking is FREE but limited, located at a turnoff along HWY 28 about a few miles north of the Spooner/HWY 50 junction - look for an old green pipe gate which is also the entrance to the trailhead (do NOT park in front of gate, you WILL be fined). After you park, grab your gear (keep in mind there are NO facilities - take out what you take in). Travel along the old dirt road on the other side of the green gate through the Tahoe forest. When you reach the fork in the road you have 2 choices: left fork leads to Prey Meadows which is blanketed with many varieties of wildflowers in the spring anddd right fork leads you to Skunk Harbor. Throughout your hike down to Skunk Harbor take in the breathtaking picture worthy views all around. Upon your arrival to the beach be sure to find the historical remants of an old railroad ramp used to supply timber to Virginia City after the Comstock Lode plus an abandoned stone house along the waters edge with historical markers from the 1920s that belonged to the wealthy family of George Newhall built as a summer house here for vacations and parties. Everything was brought in by boat, during the Roaring Twenties ~ WOW!! This is a MUST DO!! Hike is roughly 3 miles round trip, I always enjoy an adventure / hike with a reward at the end, Skunk Harbor not only has this throughout but pays off at the end. Be prepared for a bit of workout on the way back out as it is uphill and can be exposed depending on time and season/weather. So bring plenty of H20 and take your time but this hidden gem is worth it!!

My last 3 trips have resulted in me being the only one down there for a solid couple hours. The trail and beach are dog friendly, so bring your companion along with you. It's a short hike in and out but beware, your going up and up on the way out. Nothing impossibly difficult, but it can wind you. Other than that, go out and enjoy it. Leave no trace, respect the historic building down there, and don't feed the wildlife. Oh, by the way, parking can be a pain. There's only room for maybe 6-7 cars if they cozy up with one another. So like I said above, getting here early is key.
