    Loaded burrito

Stopped here on our way to California! Fresh ingredients and quick service! Burritos were very good but nothing spectacular. We got the loaded breakfast burrito with eggs, cheese, potatoes and brisket. Comes with red or green sauce and very reasonable prices. Would go back

Chorizo filled Unloaded Breakfast Burrito with Horchata

This is a Chorizo filled Unloaded Breakfast Burrito (8"); its tasty and you can choose what meat you want in it. The 8" is $4 and the 10" is $5. The size is right for me but husband, who got a Sausage filled one said he should have gotten the 10". the drinks are $2 - I got a Horchata (and its refillable!). Hubby got a diet Coke (lame! ) Hubby loved the Pick de Gallo and I love their Green Salsa! We found this little gem on 9th Street only because we skipped breakfast to get to AMA CON at "opening time" - 9am (2 hours early!) ‍ but we're told it starts at 11am! ‍‍‍

I had high hopes for this hole in the wall taqueria, but it really lacked flavor. I had three of their breakfast tacos and struggled to find any flavor in them. The red salsa was watery with some heat to it, but didn't improve the overall lack of flavor. The best meat was the brisket, it was dry, but had a little flavor to it. The house made chorizo and the pork was very bland. I would pass on this one or bring your own seasonings.

Stopped in here for breakfast burritos. Really great service and delicious food! Appreciate that they have soyrizo as an option for vegetarians. The homemade flour tortilla was solid. Docking a star because the soyrizo burritos were a bit dry and could've used a little bit more cheese - but the delicious free salsa helped a lot. Also some of the menu photos on Yelp are from a few years back, make sure to look at the updated menu photos for accuracy.

Delicious burritos, tacos and fresh salsa. We had the loaded charizo burrito and loaded charizo taco and both were great. The tortillas were amazing. Clean, fast, friendly staff and great price. Definitely recommend.

If you need a coffee I definitely recommend this place! Also, there is an open air porch situation where you can bring your pets. There's also plenty of seating both in front of the coffee bar and behind where you can sit on a couch or bar and write your book. Located…read morenear the Medi Park area was Strata Coffee Bar, a catch all spot that functions as a coffee shop, bar, and brunch location. When I walked in, the place was absolutely packed with TTUHSC or TTU Vet Med students who were celebrating finishing their final classes for the year. It was quite busy with a large line in front of me, and since I was staying for a while, I was not in a rush. I ordered a lavender latte, and after waiting just over 15 minutes behind the gaggle of people who ordered before me, my hot beverage was ready. I really liked the cup they served it in. It had a cute mountain gradient with their logo on top. The coffee itself was pretty good. It was not anything groundbreaking, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Having to briefly hop on a call with my boss, I went out to their small outdoor patio and took the call. It was also a pretty decent spot for getting some work done. They serve a ton of different options, and it is probably a popular stop for people in the surrounding medical district to get a quick coffee boost. There were also plenty of people drinking beers and mimosas when I came in, celebrating their semester coming to a close at 9:30 in the morning, so good for them. You love a catch all spot. I always find it interesting how many medium sized cities have a localized coffee chain that is so deeply rooted in the community. In Round Rock, it is Lamppost. In Amarillo, it is Roasters. There are quite a few Roasters locations in Amarillo, but the true OG is located off Georgia Street. I got there around 8:30 in the morning and it was capital B busy. Every table except one was occupied and the drive thru was wrapping around the building. By the time I got inside, I only had a short wait before ordering. I ordered a simple vanilla latte with oat milk in a medium size, along with a pumpkin spice muffin. For how busy it was, I was expecting to wait a while, but they churned drinks out pretty quickly. The barista even signaled to me to come grab the drinks for my girlfriend and me because I did not believe they had been made that fast. The coffee itself was pretty good. It leans on the sweeter side and is more focused on flavor than being espresso forward. It is clear why this place is such a staple in Amarillo. I also really liked that they had coffee sleeves that looked like Christmas sweaters and flannels for the season. It was a cute touch. It is a cute space and feels pretty traditional. One random thing I noticed was the pictures of Ronald Reagan on the walls. I do not know the reason or if it is some sort of long running joke, but it exists, along with books about Reagan scattered around the shop. There is only one single use bathroom, so on a busy morning it can take a bit if you need to use it. Every day, Roasters offers a coffee of the day on drip. I went to another location later in the week and tried it there as well, and it was good too. I think Roasters is a great option for coffee in the area and proves why it has been a staple for Amarillo residents since the 1990s. Regardless of the Reaganomics for whatever reason, Roasters can trickle down some coffee. RIYL: coffee and pictures of Ronald Reagan

While we were able to eat quickly, the food was meh and the outdoor eating area smelled like sh*t so we relocated inside. I ordered biscuits and gravy with jalapeño bacon. I LOVED the jalapeño bacon. But neither the biscuits nor the gravy tasted good. The biscuits were more like crackers--hard rather than fluffy. And biscuits (plural) is a bit misleading because it's one biscuit sliced in half and soaked in gravy. Chick-Fil-A makes tastier biscuits. But we visited this place on a Sunday and, unfortunately, Chick-Fil-A was closed. It comes with eggs, but I didn't eat the eggs because they looked like the powdered variety instead of real, whole eggs. My husband wanted a croissant but was told it would take 30 minutes to bake. Maybe we're impatient, but that seemed unreasonable for a "bakery" that had been open for a few hours at that point. So he settled for the smothered burrito. He didn't like that concotion either. The passionfruit teas we ordered were small but good, but not good enough for a return visit. $35 wasted.
