In middle, school my teachers use to call me Mr. Taco. I am not sure why, but the name stuck with me all the way through college. As an adult I now eat tacos and burritos several times a week and now I feel like I should be called Mr Taco again. Because I eat this food so much, I feel like I am a good judge of burritos and tacos. With all that being said, I really enjoy this food. It is made fresh and is super tasty. Their hot sauce is flavorful but not too hot where you lose the flavor. They also put the correct amount of each item on their food. You go to some of these chain restaurants, and you are eating 90% rice and 8% cheese and 2% meat. Here they a great blend of veggies, cheeses, meats. As I mentioned above, I eat a lot of Mexican food and when I am in the Back Bay Area I only eat at this place. I have tried the rest of the fast food Mexican places in the mall and the surrounding area, and nothing comes close to them. I would have given them 5 stars, but they only take cash. I grabbed a steak and cheese quesadilla here once when I was starving and in a hurry. I didn't expect much but OMG, it was so good! The steak is nicely seasoned and the cheese was nice and melty and gooey. had to come back another day and get another one! Nice guys working at te stand, too. Very fast service. read more

Uhhhh, did these guys sift through the ashes of El Pelon for their burrito secrets? I just had the best burrito I've had all year. You know when you're at Boloco, and it takes 5 people to handle your order? And when it gets to the 2nd or 3rd person, you see them fucking it up, or using the wrong tortilla, etc? And then the assembly line stops, and they all huddle together and find out where things went wrong? This is my favorite Back Bay lunch spot. Surprisingly delicious and affordable! I don't know how they managed to make such tasty burritos that don't have the lingering effects of most train station food carts. I go here at least once a week for a veggie burrito with my team from work. Between the team, we've sampled everything and have yet to have a bad meal. Highly recommended! This place makes the best burrito in the Copley area. I'm not really a fan of Boloco at all; I've generously given it many chances and I've never had a truly good burrito there. My chain burrito ranking system goes (worst to best): Boloco - Qdoba - Chipotle, but as there's no Chipotle in the Back Bay area I have to look elsewhere for a solid burrito. The burritos at Bs and Ts to Go have the right balance between too dry and too soggy, with flavorful, juicy rice and fresh salsa/guac/hot sauce. Everything tastes well together and the burrito stays hot and consistent throughout. On some occasions I've gotten a weak amount of guac for a big burrito, but usually it's alright. read more

If you can get past the fact that you're eating a burrito from a cart in a high traffic subway/train station with pigeons wandering around, you're in for a treat! In all seriousness though, these guys are pretty strict about cleanliness and protocol. I've tried to show up a few minutes before noon (they can have huge lines... they move quickly but at heart I am a fat man who wants to eat lunch at 10:30) when they are still setting up and they make me wait until the meat has reached a certain temperature before they start serving. The cart is also immaculate. Admittedly, much cleaner than the kitchen in any apartment I have ever lived in :( These burrito's are pretty good though. Everything tastes fresh and for five bucks, it's a really delicious quick lunch that's pretty difficult to beat. I also agree with the other comments about the friendliness of the servers... OK, forget Boloco, these guys make a great Burrito--don't know how anyone can call this "the best" because it's not. But it is very good. Unlike Boloco whose quality varies wildly, these guys make their Burritos very consistently with everything measured out with a scoop. I once had a Boloco burrito that was more like a rice burrito. But I digress. The grande burrito is a decent size for lunch. Not bad for $5. I had everything in there except sour creme and guac. The hot sauce is not what I would call strong but gives a mild kick. Everything thing seemed well proportioned: the meat, the rice, the beans and the salsa. My preference would be for more salsa though and I do like the rice less seasoned. The steak is excellent and well seasoned. All and all, a cheap and good meal that is made fast. read more

I can't give these guys more than three stars, because that would mean they're as good as Ana's or Chipotle in my book and they're just not. HOWEVER, for what they are - which is small burrito and taco cart inside of a train station - they perform. The men running the stand are super friendly and super fast - star there. The stand itself always looks clean and the ingredients, fresh. Never got food poisoning. Another star. And of course, the burrito. It is not horrible - probably still better than a lot of options outside any major city, so I can't be too hard on them here. What I'd like to critique are the beans - always so dry and pasty! They make me smack my mouth together to try and get some saliva going. So, I eventually caught on and started ordering sans beans. And the salsa - such an important part of the burrito - and they definitely fall flat here, for both taste and texture. I expected a lot more from an independent burrito stand - the small places are usually the ones with the best salsa, c'mon guys! And lastly, the chicken - it's flavored well, great - but it's cut too large and so you take a single bite and next thing you know, you're pulling half a chicken out of your tiny burrito with your teeth. Slice/pull the chicken into smaller pieces - will be infinitely better! The guac is always great. Rice, standard. And the cheese and tortilla are actually my favorite part of the burritos here. Super tasty and the way they melt their cheese onto the tortilla somehow creates a magical and perfect union. All in all, great as a work-time or commuting staple. Not that great as everyone says, but ok for station food. I went at noon and waited in a long line. Since everyone seems to like it I thought it would be worth it. The line moved quickly. I ordered a small burrito with guacamole (the guy barely put any on and it was an extra .74 cents). I made my way to the register and the total was $7.60. Too expensive for a small burrito in my opinion. Anyway, the people who worked at the cart were very friendly. I was excited to eat my burrito but wasn't impressed when I took the first bite, it was very dry. Not sure if it was the tortilla or the chicken? Besides the dryness, it was not bad. I wish I got more guacamole, it tasted delicious. Probably wouldn't go back. Too expensive. I'd rather go to Chipotle for double the size burrito and same price. read more

I was expecting a little more authentic mexican food than something I can whip up at home. I got the green chicken spicy burrito and there was no flavor in the chicken. I also got chips for like $2 and then salsa for $2. For that price I'd much rather have a burrito from Chipotle!! The salsa was below subpar and needed salt. I put some in it after getting home and it was much better. If you can't even salt your salsa right that must be saying something. The burrito had cheese, lettuce, black beans, and chicken. The servers are super friendly and the burritos, while not the best in Boston, get the job done for a hungry girl on her lunch break. And $6 for a burrito with the works and a soda? Yes, please! I have ordered burritos here a couple of times and they were not so great. Loads of fat on the meat, ultra greasy, and flavorless really. Today I took my chances and ordered a Grande Pork burrito with extra meat and a lil sour cream. It was really good. The meat was a good balance of lean and fat, it was still greasy but not disgustingly so, and it had lots of flavor. Maybe they were having an off day before. A burrito as big as my arm...and I have big arms...came to just $6.55. Whooo...now i need a crane to come and take me home...lol. read more

This place is such a breath of fresh air compared to the other Copley "chain" standbys. I could care less about the Back Bay Station pidgeons flying around (It's a cart in a train station, c'mon). The price is right, too! The lady and gentlemen that run the cart are super friendly and efficient (the line moves pretty fast). I think I'm one of the only people that orders tacos, everyone seems to get the burritos (if you haven't done the tacos yet, you are missing out!!). Like every Californian on Boston Yelp, I was hoping for the tacos to be pretty close to what I can get in SoCal: delicate duo of corn tortillas, perfect fresh salsa, meat with just the right amout of flavorful grease, lettuce and tomatoes, a pinch of white crumbled cheese, cilantro notes, maybe a paper thin slice of fresh radish to cut the heaviness of the fat. (I'm not intending to school people who haven't tried the Californian style Mexican food, just explaining my expectation given where I grew up). But these Right-Coast tacos are slightly different, and not in a bad way. The salsa has some smokey notes in it, the lettuce always crisp, and they add just the right amount of onions. The chicken has been a bit bland on a few visits, but the beef and carnitas are very flavorful (beef can be overdone/tough and have a bit of gristle sometimes). Also, they really pack on the meat , which is awesome if you don't mind the taco falling apart. One thing that got me was the addition cheese as an option. I expected the usual crumbled white cheese, but instead they use a shredded white (jack?) cheese. There was so much that the taco was a huge, overstuffed corn tortilla quesadilla, but was yummy nevertheless. All in all, a good way to get my taco fix during the workweek. read more

Fast service, convenient if you work near back bay or take the orange line towards back bay. The only issue is it's in the station, which for some might take some getting used to. You can easily have a $5 lunch here and be full. I recommend the steak / chicken burrito small. It's more like a medium and has these options: beans, rice, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and hot sauce. You do have to pay for the cheese / sour cream / guacamole. So you can actually get a burrito for less than five dollars without the cheese. Tacos / quesadillas are also available. The owner, I think, is nice and his helpers are always fast and nice.
