Wife purchased Michelin tires from Butt Brothers. Charged me $18 for premium balance weights which have always been included in the balance & mounting fee which was also charged at $85. Didn't ask for premium weights. Never heard of premium weights in sixty years of purchasing tires for numerous vehicles. There was also a Michelin rebate of $80 at the time that Burt Brothers failed to mention any thing about. Had to research myself and submitted info direct to Michelin after the fact. I would NOT recommend Burt Brothers! I have been bringing my cars to the Bountiful location for over seven years but no more. Last Saturday they lied and cheated me in about five ways. When I went in to pay my bill they offered no opalogy or reason, just an irritation that I knew my car. I bought tires three years ago and they told me I needed them, the did a bait and switch. They gave me one tire free but tacked on a 132.09 extended warranty without telling me. They replaced my rear rotors without asking. My car only has 94,00 mikes! I felt totally scammed. I need to start out this review by saying my family has been loyal to Burt brothers for decades. We absolutely adore the Burt family and have been going to Burt Brothers for everything since the time I was born. But things really started to change when Ron left the business. We'd take our cars in to get them fixed and within a week the problem would be back. Even with small things and on new cars. The quality of work has just gone way WAY downhill. But this story really takes the cake. We have this 1996 Ford truck that is on its last leg. It's a piece of junk and we know it, but we're trying to keep it around so we can take things to the dumb with it. My dad took it into Burt Brothers for a quote and within a day they quoted him for several thousand dollars. So he wasn't gonna get it fixed, but something felt off. So he took it down the street to another shop in bountiful where they said "Oh yeah we know you guys! Burt Brothers actually called us about your car and asked what we would quote you for and we gave them a quote." Turns out Burt Brothers was trying to up charge us $3000 more than what the other business was going to charge. Look, I'm a business owner and I get it. You gotta make money somehow, but Burt Brothers has just lost all credibility for my family and I. I think after having so many problems with them over the past few years this is finally the last straw. So RIP Burt Brothers! You were the best people in the car biz for a long time, but now you're slimier than all the rest. read more

I stopped to repair a flat tire. I was given a lengthy lecture about all the terrible things that could happen to me if they fixed the tire and was asked if I was interested in purchasing new tires. The people working here are always nice, but the timing for services is rough. I'm sure they are short staffed but for a realistic eta on an oil change (Regardless if I have an appointment first thing in the morning or am a walk-in) it always takes 2.5-3 hours. I expect that time for a walk in during peak business hours, but for no tire rotation or air filter change, is a bit long. Especially when it takes another 30 minutes to get my keys after they said the oil change was finished and they need to just pull it up. But I will say for full synthetic it costs me about $120 here, where grease monkey charges $150. read more

7-23-25 I was told by a different local tire shop that the reason my 2 1/2 yr old tires needed replacing was due to my alignment. I bought the new tires and went to Burt Brothers for the alignment. Ok, these guys are crooks! My father-in-law works on our cars. Took my daughter's car to Burt Brothers to look at/recharge the AC because he was out of town. They put a piece of sheet metal behind the radiator so that the car would overheat thinking I would bring it back to them!!! Also, their oil change stickers, when you peel them off, they intentionally leave "Burt brothers" logos behind that won't come off without a razor blade, like electronics security stickers!!! Burt Brothers reached out to me. I called and talked to the manager. He denied that the sheet metal was placed there by Burt Brothers (how could he know?!?) and claimed he did not know about their stickers, BUT also would not do anything about them or where they buy them from. If there was a Zero, I would put that down. When my friend's shop was purchased by Burt Brothers I thought I could trust them like I trusted my friend. One of the Burt Brothers, Wendel, was a friend of mine and he guaranteed I would like them. And, for as long as my friend stayed with them I could count on honesty despite the costs going up considerably. Now, all the Burt family has been kicked out of the company. Customer service is now a thing of the past. Two things. I brought my car in because there was a noise at the driver's side front tire. The manager took it for a quick spin around the block and said it was not the brakes so there was something wrong with the engine. I took it back home. I knelt down by the tire and saw a plastic guard had come loose and was dragging down the street. Got it fixed by another shop for $16.00. I bought a new set of wheels for my wife's car and had snow tires put on her original wheels and stored at the shop. As I was selling the car one of the conditions was they also received the snow tires. When I went to get them I was informed they had been sent to the warehouse and were gone. The assistant manager informed me they had contacted everyone who had snow tires stored needed to come get them. Problem is, they never contacted me. They said they did, I knew they didn't. So, I took the matter up with the District Manager who informed me they would find used wheels and tires and sell them to me at cost. That was not acceptable to me since they wanted me to pay for them again. When I pressed him he said Burt Brothers bought the business, not any liability from the previous owners. In other words, "Take a hike!" Burt Brothers has lost the meaning of Customer Service and Loyalty to Customers. I will never do business with them again and will be sure to let all my friends know to stay away from a business that values dollars more than customer. read more

My son just finished school and was driving from TX to WA, and noticed his tire had a slow leak while stopped in Bountiful. I looked up "tire repair" and noticed this place was nearby, so I called them, and Brittany was very nice and said they'd take care of him. Not only did they get him taken care of quickly, but they didn't even charge him for the repair (it was a small nail). This is even more impressive when you consider they were more than likely not going to get any repeat business from us as we are not local. Had them work on many cars and sets of tires. however past service has gone down. they worked on my RV and an almost new snow tire blew out. After taking my car in to get the snow tires on No rim exchange just tires that were purchased at Burt Brothers and were always free to put on before . they tried to charge me $111.00 I asked why? then I asked for Chris the manager who did have corporate refund my $70 for having another company tell me I did not need new brakes when Burt Brothers told me I did. Wow Thats a total of $664.00 I should not have been billed for. People in Davis county beware of Burt Brothers I've told my neighbors and they all have said they been treated like this also and went elsewhere. Good advice read more

I've had it with this location! Today, I waited for 3 and 1/2 hours for them to pull a screw out of my tire. The longer I waited, the more undriveable my car was becoming and I couldn't leave. The employees just blow smoke about how soon it would be done, repeatedly. The same thing happened to my daughter last summer. She waited for 4 hours to have air put in her tires (she's a teenager and didn't know better). I bought my '07 Lexus IS250 from Affinity Auto and before I bought it Burt Brothers did a "Pre Purchase Inspection". included tires and brake check. All good! Bought the car drove home to Colorado feeling good! Love my "new" car (less than 85k miles)! A couple of months a go and just 3 months after the Inspection my brakes started making noise. Took it to my local shop, he called me and was like, dude your brakes were rusted apart! Pins rusted they wouldn't move, dangerous. Excellent service! If you go, ask for Tyler. I felt like he genuinely cared about my needs. At first I came in with a flat, I thought I had to buy new tires, since the hole was quite large, which worried me because I was on a budget. Tyler asked to look at the flat and managed to fix it for me at no cost. He said he did't recommend driving on it for long, but it should hold me over until I have enough to buy some new tires. He pointed out to me that my tread was wearing very unevely, and this starts a unrecoverable cycle of further encouraging uneven tread. He asked when the last time I rotated my tires was, and I admitted that I have never rotated them. He said that I should just make it a habit to rotate them every oil change. I asked how much it cost to rotate tires and he said that I get free tire rotations and flat repairs when I purchase their tires. Tyler's service was excellent because he took the time to explain things to me and helped me learn how to better maintain my vehicle. He was patient, and helpful. He didn't make me feel anxious or uneasy for not knowing something. He worked with me on the level that I needed. I went back after a few weeks and bought the tires from Tyler today. I drove away feeling confident with my purchase and eager to keep up on maintenance. I will continue to see Tyler for my other maintenance needs. read more
