We had our dryer repair our dryer Tuesday, we have used them before, the repair man who looked very young was on time and very knowledgeable we was able to repair the dryer that morning, he had the part in his truck, what I was impressed by? Our dryer is an older dryer and the part was in his truck, he was very efficient. The payment was more than fair, he did let us know that the motor was going out and it's replaceable and the dryer we have is a good dryer.. that I appreciated instead of trying to sell us a new one, he was honest. Buyer BEWARE!!! Initial engagement, over-the-top great customer service. However, after a smaller, almost perfunctory, service call to repair a Clothes Dryer of mine ( completed in about an hour max....however, this may have had a profound impact on my immediate subsequent engagement) as my follow up engagement was a complete 180 degrees different experience. They were great in pointing out that the manufacturer had huge loss in a Class Action Lawsuit for the same issue that affected my Refrigerator and, that I should point that out when I speak with them. So, I was able to complete a con-call with both the manufacturer and Burton's ML Repair. The manufacturer verbally agreed to warranty the required parts and over half of the Labor. What follows next is unbelievable sleazy business practices....the manufacturer informed Burton's ML Appliance that he needed to first have a Business to Business call to discuss warranting the Labor Charges. Wait, WHAT????? Interesting that a call, specifically excluding me, the Customer to both needed to occur before finalizing this transaction. But, before I got off the phone with both, the rep from Burton's stated that they would NOT order the materials/parts from the Manufacturer unless the Manufacturer agreed to cover their portion of the Labor Charges. Here is where things REALLY went off the tracks, causing me to seek legal recourse. I called Burton's back to see where things stood and, I was informed that they now had the needed parts (read: thereby assuming that all was agreed to regarding the Labor charges as well.) And, that I was scheduled for repair on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 between 10-2pm. With this date, I immediately informed everyone in my home so, that we, accordingly, would rearranged everything to ensure that I would be at home that entire day for Servicing. However. I called around 2:30pm, just to ensure that, indeed, I had the correct TIME ZONE? Whoever answered the phone was loaded for bear and stated, emphatically and, in an angry tone, that I was scheduled for actually Wednesday, September 3rd!!! (Didn't realize that someone, anyone whose Refrigerator has been down for a week, would misunderstand the date certain that the pain would stop.) And, that I should know that it had always been scheduled for two weeks out..... I was also told, in both demanding and demeaning way, "Just look at YOUR INVOICE (what Invoice? (Who receives an Invoice ahead of any Services being rendered? Not in my 50 years of Financial transactions, Domestic and, International. She went further, insisting that we use video to see on her/their internal Board, the day and day that I'm scheduled for. I intentionally did NOT resort to Video as I have ZERO ambiguity as to where and what additional consternation that would actually cause (see pic for clue). I was sent the Invoice and, contained on the Invoice in one of the line items the words "Paid by "the Manufacturer". Now, this was sent after the more than stern words of, it's YOUR Refrigerator!!!! (Who knew? Thanks for that enlightenment) It's up to YOU to get the manufacturer's approval!!!!! Ok, but, remember, you were not going to order the materials until you obtained approval, from the Manufacturer, for a portion of the Labor? So, who authorized Burton's Mother Lode Appliance Repair to actually codify "Paid by Manufacturer" on the formal Invoice sent to Me????? Whoops, there it is!!!!! I sent a brief note stating that "I can smell it, can you?". Jonathan Burton sent me a short note "Due to the "ability" (what, you do mean inability right?) to communicate with me and the Manufacturer, we will be canceling this service request". Now on to Legal Recourse, 7 on your side, etc. Perhaps I drew the wrong straw or, this is a sampling of their business practices but, high visibility is ALWAYS a great disinfectant!!!! read more

This company is first rate! They go way beyond any kind of service you will get from one of the corporate companies like Home Depot or Lowe's. Definitely see them first for service or appliances. Just had a very difficult installation in my kitchen and they went way beyond what those corporations would have done to make it work for me. I'd give them way more stars if I could! read more

Last week, just before noon, my washing machine dial quit working. I called Mother Lode Appliance and asked what a repair call cost, and the part cost. Then I asked if they had anything new in stock that was a good washing machine, white, a top loader and the most economical. Because I use a walker or a wheelchair and am 92 years old, it was hard for me to get into the store so the lady emailed me a picture of the washing machine. It totally would go well with my dryer and the price was perfect. By 1:22 PM Jon's son Cole had it installed and running. .All for a total of around $740. Our Bosch dishwasher just stopped working one day and the board went blank. We called a different repair place and after several months, miss orders and expensive part installations it still didn't work. I called Burton's and the repair technician found the problem in a few minutes. It was a loose wire at the back of the unit. I can't tell you how much I appreciate a tech who starts with the simplest thing first (not assuming something expensive.) I want to give them 6 stars! Thad, the representative, arrived on schedule and got quickly into our refrigerator. A flapper motor had stopped working. He set it up to cool and ordered the part. I don't normally write reviews, but I felt that it was necessary. Our new washer that we bought only a little over a year prior, broke. We thought we had a warranty and when we realized we didn't purchase one, Lowe's recommended a few repair shops. We decided to call Motherload Appliance first, and we are glad we did. They were out the next business day, had a really cool automated system which was texting updates. The tech who came out was super nice. I called Burton's in desperation over a new Speedqueen washer/dryer I'd bought from a Carson City appliance shop (NNAO) that was unwilling to trouble-shoot my problem over phone or facetime. We recently purchased a Zephyr Downdraft Range Hood for our island from Burton's. This was the perfect solution for our island that does not have the ability to have a traditional range hood. I had to have my stove replaced this year, ealier this August. The employee from Mother Lode Appliance had repeatedly keep touching and laying on hand on me. Giving me this awful eyes stares directly looking upon me up and down. This employee also wore no mask at all of any kind. With COVID-19 Pandemic going on 2020. It was unjust, inappropriate behavior from them and the employee should have not left from his job without wearing, bringing some type PPE. My dryer stopped working in the middle of the week on laundry night. I called the next day and a friendly young woman made an appointment for the following week. (They were over booked) Two nice guys showed up on Tuesday earlier than expected. After 20 minutes he knew what was wrong and ordered the part later that day. The washer had a leak and the technician knew almost immediately given the symptoms and the brand, what the problem was. Great service! I called with a broken clothes dryer and they had someone out within a couple of hours. Service Tech had my dryer fixed and going in 15 minutes. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is it killed me to pay $80 for a 15 minute job but I understand they have travel time and overhead to pay so they need to charge a min of 1 hour (but it still hurt). No complaints though! I would (and will) call them again. read more

The two service men didn't observe social distancing at all. No masks, didn't wipe down services they touched and were rude and had an unfriendly deminor about then in general. When our older fridge died, I panicked! After poking around, I tentatively diagnosed a dead relay/overload. I live 'up on the hill,' so I called in advance to see if they had the part, and got a friendly and encouraging "yes, we've got it the part you need and we can talk you through the install. It costs [this much]." Thanks to their friendly help and support (and a little luck that I correctly diagnosed the problem), I installed the new part and the fridge is running again.
