I have been able to leave & receive messages from my Primary Care Provider (PCP). I have also been able to get a travel prescription based on my recent health visit, without having to do a new appointment! Occasionally I have used other providers here, and it has all been good. I feel that during my annual wellness visit we get in as much as possible. The annual reminders from my PCP about good health practices have been very useful. Example: Years ago she told me that the studies suggesting that a glass of wine a day was good for you were all sponsored by the industry and not reliable. This year the New York Times confirmed that those studies were flawed. The space is big, open, carefully designed, and pleasantly decorated, in case that matters for you. LabCorp has a location here, but you can get your blood drawn at any of their facilities. If you come early in the morning to do a fasting blood draw there can be a bit of a wait because so many people have not eaten since overnight and need a fasting blood draw.

I was bleeding from my head (if you don't know it yet, a head wound is a bleeder for a long time). So I elected to pay out of pocket and go to Evergreen for stitches. When it was time to remove the stitches, I called Evergreen in advance to ask them how much it would cost to remove them at Evergreen or if I should go to Kaiser with a $20 copay. The representative on the phone told me that stitch removal was a part of the $570 I paid out of pocket. Then I got a bill from Evergreen saying I owed $146 for stitch removal. This is a disgusting practice and Evergreen should be ashamed of themselves. When I escalated the matter, even though calls were recorded to prove what I was told, the insisted I pay the bill (which I did today). I would not trust this company and I will never work with them again. I will pay for a taxi vs dealing with BS like this.

It is so much easier for me to navigate through the Kaiser system than locate independent providers through Regence Coverage. You call one number and are set up for all your medical needs. I have NEVER had an easier time or better results than I experienced with Seattle's Kaiser group. Their doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, customer phone representatives and all support staff really seem to care about you and your health. This is problematic. I am the Director of H.R for a company of about 50 people working at the Port of Seattle. We recently changed health plans. Unfortunately, the "upgraded plan" available to executives is a Regence (Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plan). Ironically, I feel like that this "upgrade" isn't an upgrade at all. I LOVE KAISER and I am likely to go back whatever the cost after we renew in January of 2020. I have never experienced better care, more follow up, less wait- time and fewer additional fees than I have with Kaiser. I came in to meet Dr. Church (Redmond), because of a scheduling issue Dr. Church was SUPER thorough, knowledgeable, professional and considerate. After I left his office, Dr. Church researched how best to alleviate my menopause drama. He followed up with both me and my pharmacist and suggested I try a little different medication. Since I have started on my new meds, I am symptom-less!!

The services I've received have been great, and my appointments to visit the doctor are quick. I love that there's a self check-in station, and I usually don't have to wait too long before being called. As far as the lab goes, I've consistently had poor experiences with long waiting time. The first time, I was the only one in line and waited over 20 minutes to give a urine sample. Last week, I came in the afternoon around 3 p.m. to give a urine sample, and a sign was over the kiosk saying that staff was on break and unavailable, so I was frustrated I drove out there and wasn't able to complete my lab (I had to leave). This morning (Friday at 8:30 a.m.) I waited over 40 minutes for my lab. If the wait times weren't as bad for the lab and service was continuous throughout the day, I would certainly provide a higher rating.

I've been going to Doc Leou for 4 years now, he was the first PCP I visited after moving to Washington. I am happy to report that I will continue to see him as long as possible until he retires. He has helped me through any scenario you could imagine, from small everyday illnesses to very specific, serious illnesses that are unique to me. If you are looking for a doctor that will genuinely listen to you, take you at your word and work with you every step of the way, Doctor Norman Leou is hands down the right choice for you. If you are tired of being talked down to, dismissed or lectured about YOUR health, please consider visiting Doctor Leou. He is a doctor that will take your opinions seriously and give them their due consideration before offering his professional opinion. Doctor Leou has been not only the best PCP I have ever had but I am happy to call him a friend after all these years. Thanks Doc for all your help keeping me healthy these last 4 years. I cannot thank you enough for helping me heal from my most recent medical emergency. Thank you for believing me and approving the resources I needed to get healthy again. I have to help people day in and day out in my professional and personal life and I am so grateful that you are there to help me on the rare occassion that I need help too.

It occurred twice that the office finally returned the call 1 week later. Additionally, this office is always closed before the stated office hour, which is the #1 rule in the business world. The doctor is nice, but when you choose any family doctor, you are looking for the entire package in which communication and accountability are the top two factors to consider. No patients need to add such additional burden when they seek medical assistance for their family!

Being someone with diabetes,…read moreI'm particular about my general practicioner as I have to see him more often than the average person. I personally don't need hand holding mushiness, I need the truth, level headedness and a physician who will share his knowledge about what is going on with my body. A little small talk and humor doesn't hurt either. All qualities you will find with Dr. Bayles and his staff. I live nearby so location is awesome for me. I used to see a Swedish physician downtown but finally switched b/c the drive and parking was inconvenient. And no parking charges at the Redmond Swedish Medical Center! It's also brand new so the facility looks great. And scheduling appointments have also generally been easy. I once got squeezed in at the last minute when I got a severe allergic reaction and needed some relief asap. The Swedish network is also something I love (yes, love). All your medical information gathered by Swedish physicians is online so there's no confusion about your medical history or trying to remember every little thing. Another much appreciated thing...everything runs like a well-oiled machine. I get in, fill in some quick paperwork, pay my co-pay and I'm in an office in less than 5 minutes. A nurse takes some information about my visit, gets some vitals and the doctor arrives in less than 5 minutes. When I'm done, my paperwork is being printed, don't need to mess with prescriptions as they have been electronically delivered to my pharmacy and I'm done. Like I said, I see my physician more often than the average person and any extra time I can save not waiting around is a big thumbs up for me.

He's provided me with great reference materials over the years - I was able to lower my cholesterol significantly with diet rather than going straight to meds with the help of his guidance.
