It's totally one part corporate, crisp, functional retail goods store, and another part taxidermy animals, rides, fudge, and hunting & fishing gear like you'd find at Bass Pro. We took our kids here on a winter break, gray day and it was a lot of fun. First off, there's a mini aquarium when you walk in -- it's nothing to write home about, but it gets the kids attention and they realize right away this is a fun store. From there, you can't miss the gigantic ferris wheel in the middle of the store. Gonna be real, it's fun and worth the wait but also a bit nerve wracking. Something is just odd about quietly swaying at the top of a department store quietly for such a long time. My daughter was like, "Dad, I'm scared to look down!" and all I could think was, "so am I, kid, so am I." We both agreed it's pretty fun once it gets going. There's also a little bowling area where you get five frames for a buck, and ditto to a little arcade game area as well. There's toy stores, outdoor goods, quality brands of clothes and outfitting, and really a nice answer to online shopping. In fact, it feels like malls used to feel in the 90's but a modern spin on everything. We did eat here but I'd say skip it. I didn't find anything I wanted and when I went to finish off my kids chicken tenders I was super underwhelmed and ended up pitching them. I will say at this time they carry Sylas & Maddy's ice cream (best IC in the city IMO) so that was a nice surprise treat. What more could you want if out shopping with the kids?! It's a great spot to kill a quiet afternoon.

I love all the different activities they house as well including the shooting game and the larger vehicles for those who own land or want to go on the water. I walked into a skateboard paradise. The entire front area is apparel. Every brand of skateboard shirt, jacket, some jeans, and female clothing, too. Sunglasses, watches. Whatever. Think Loma Vista Hardware in bright in your face colors. The back of the store is a wall of skateboards decks, and a few wide boards. Impressive display, Enjoi, Habitat, Baker, Element, CCS, Alien Workshop, Toy Machine, Girl, Plan B. I saw a Rob Dyrdek Deck I would've bought for my son, if he'd needed one. (We go through a deck about once a year). then at the counter is the hardware, and wheels. All sizes. Several brands of hardware. It'd be a kick ass place to work. Heck, I'd like to work there, myself. When I go back to Oak Park Mall, I saw a female Famous Stars and Straps shirt I want. But instead of mail ordering it, I can drive and get it, along with my son';s clothes. (Almost every shirt he owns was bought at CCS mail order.) The store has a sampling of what's on the website, and a full selection of decks. I imagine if you watch the website, there will be demos there. And know what? I love to watch skateboarding demos. I've seen professional skateboarders and CCS is one of the larger sponsors. I'm thrilled to be writing this review.

A person hoped in line and was granted my size 10 even though the person who did the head count informed her coworker they belonged to me over the headphone. The coworker said he didn't care and since the guy was in line that's the rules first come first serve. He then proceeded to try and sell me the gentleman behind me last size 10.5 but the gentleman said they were his and the guy told me he sold my shoes and can't sell me the size 10.5 since they were the guy behind me.
