I also rented clubs and thought everything was pretty reasonably priced, everything seemed to be maintained pretty well and there was a fun variety if terrain for each hole. It was raining lightly when we first came, and if it's raining when you start golfing there's no rain check (which makes sense). The workers are kind and explain everything in depth to you. There's also a restaurant/bar which is a nice place to stop by after golfing. We wanted to practice before starting but don't think they have a driving range here or we weren't told about it?

So, I had (note the past tense) two broad problems with golf. These are by no means specific to…read moreStone Meadow: 1. Golf is freaking expensive. 2. I tried golf as a teenager, and couldn't get the hand-eye coordination down. Don't kid yourselves, I still can't. I was designed to sit in front of an Excel spreadsheet, not stand in front of a golf tee. Stone Meadow Golf has completely turned everything on its head. Don't get me wrong, my hand eye coordination is still as real as the Loch Ness Monster, however the lack thereof is no longer as scary. Stone Meadow has a driving range and a 9-hole course. Both are priced very reasonably, and (at least for the 9-hole), equipment like a wedge, putter, and two balls. The course was very approachable and non-intimidating for a newbie like myself. The staff were also helpful and friendly. So, while I don't see myself becoming a person who holds for fun on his own, including owning one's own clubs, when my friends have an open invite for Stone Meadow, I will absolutely join them if I'm in town).

Overall my experience was alright. They use 3Trak software for the launch monitor and system. It appears to be semi-accurate. Biggest issues I had was a ball that was perfectly still not moving would be registered as a hit. So good thing we had mulligans on to reset this or it would tank your score during a 9/18 hole play through. The only issue I had with the screen/ball net is there was a hole right in the center of the screen which also caused the screen to wrinkle up due to the hole. This should really be replaced. The overall cost is about the same for any other simulator in the area. 4/5
