Our now 2.5 year old daughter has been attending Busy Bee during COVID times. What's nice is that the ratio of kids to teacher (Nicole) is nice; it's small and intimate. The size also helped mitigate any Covid spread so there hasn't been any spread at all. My daughter's speech is flourishing and she continues to add to her vocabulary bank. She follows Nicole's routine pretty well: Drop off is very flexible. There are days when our daughter sleeps in so we drop her off whenever and Nicole is understanding. The kids eat breakfast together, do music time, arts/craft/learning, nap about 2 hours, and play outdoor. Communication is good; Nicole's very responsive :). Our daughter is currently potty training and Nicole reinforced it at school. We're happy our daughter is able to build her foundation here at Busy Bee :) read more

I cannot recommend a better daycare! Nicole is amazing and provided our daughter with a safe and warm environment to grow for many months. Nicole keeps the kids on a schedule and ensures that they are stimulated with different arts and crafts activities everyday. I really felt that my daughter's language development flourished while with Nicole. I love that Nicole fills out a daily "Look at what I did" sheet, that lets me know the activities she did, how much her slept, and what/how much she ate. The kids will go on walks around the neighborhood and it is the cutest thing, and they spend a lot of the day outside(which we love). My son has been at Busy Bee with Miss Nicole for almost a year. It was our first experience with daycare after a year home during the pandemic and I could not have asked for a better first day care experience for us as parents and for our son. It's a small daycare with only 5 kids, so all the kids get plenty of attention. The kids engage in age appropriate activities including arts and crafts, circle time, and music along with lots of outside time. The house has a big playroom and her backyard is filled with toys and a swing set. She also provides breakfast, lunch, and two snacks; one less thing to worry about in the morning. You also get a note at the end of the day talking about what they did, how he slept, and what he ate. Nicole is friendly, professional, and flexible around scheduling if you occasionally get stuck at work late. My son loves going to daycare and always hops right into his booster seat to eat breakfast when we drop him off and wants to show off his latest arts and crafts project or favorite toy when him pick him. It's my pleasure to recommend busy bee daycare to the parents looking for safe, hygienic and systematic daycare in San Jose. Nicole is very professional and takes really good care of kids. We would have happily continued with this day care if we were not moving to new place. Kids get a lot of outdoor playtime in a spacious backyard and even go for a short walk in neighborhood. Nicole works in very organized way and also gives everyday report including nap time, meal time and activities. My son was in busy bee for around four months only but I really wish it had been longer. In fact while changing location this was our biggest worry that would have to leave this daycare. Nicole's Busy Bee Daycare was a life savor for us! Our daughter's previous daycare had closed it's infant program suddenly and not many places accept children under 2 years old. Nicole accepts children as young as a year old and she luckily had a spot available when we needed it. Nicole was great to work with and our daughter had so much fun there! It's a great area and Nicole's home is large with a big backyard with a lot of activities for the kids to play with. She would send our daughter home with a sheet that explained what she did that day, what she ate, how long she napped, what her mood was and it was so relieving to know that she was doing well. Nicole also accepts venmo (huge plus!!) - We had to move daycares due to a change in location but we will miss Nicole very much! read more

My son was only with Nicole for about eight months, but I wish it had been longer. She really understands how to support busy families and gives the kids the best care. She does music and movement activities with the kids every day, as well as coloring or an arts/crafts time. Additionally, the kids get lots of fresh air in the big back yard or on walks around the quiet neighborhood. I am so happy that we found Busy Bee! We have been sending our 2 year son there full-time for the past 7 months now and are extremely thankful that we changed from our original daycare to Busy Bee! Every day, the kids get a lot of outside play time and even go on a neighborhood walk together! The backyard is amazing and has so many fun things for them to play with, including bikes and a playground structure that has multiple swings and a slide. Whenever I pick my son up during outside time, he is always having so much fun that he doesn't want to leave! Instead, he wants me to stay and play with him there at Busy Bee lol:). I have also loved that my son gets to do circle and music time on a daily basis. I truly feel like Busy Bee is the perfect balance of both free and structured play. Nicole is also super creative and always has fun and unique crafts for them to do each day (like hand-print ornaments at the holidays, painting, dot art, wreaths, etc.). At our last daycare, I did not get very much feedback about how the day went. At Busy Bee, Nicole provides written feedback each day telling us how long nap-time was, how much my son ate, as well as all of the fun activities that they did that day. In terms of practicalities, she also offers breakfast and lunch at no additional cost (families can pack their own as well if they wish). Not having to think about and pack these 2 meals each day has really simplified things for us! The cost is definitely reasonable too. Terrific little place to send our little boy, Cruz who will be 3 in February. A colleague of mine raved about Busy Bee and now I know why! The environment is CLEAN, safe, friendly, cozy and so much fun (inside and outside). There are multiple activities that Nicole does with the kids that are engaging, great learning opportunities, and full of action. I have been amazed at the things Cruz comes home saying or doing that I KNOW he learned at Busy Bee. They dance, sing songs, read books, arts and crafts, take walks... the list could go on and on. Cruz is happy to come in the mornings and does not want to leave in the afternoon. Nicole is amazing, I don't know how she does it all. She provides healthy meals and snacks, teaches the kiddos table manners and ensures they eat well before getting up to go play again. ONE of the best things that I appreciate, is she sends a daily (little) report card home everyday. The report card gives me info on how long his nap was, what he ate and at what time, what activities he did that day, etc. It's so nice that I don't have to ask her every day the same questions when I pick him up. A second best thing is how flexible she is. While she has the hours and days set, there have been times that she has worked with me when I needed to change something up with our schedule. She is also super helpful with the whole potty training thing. Being first time parents with no family around, we feel lost sometimes. Nicole provides that security and confidence that we need because she knows what she is doing. Lastly, the cost of this daycare is the best we have seen since Cruz was born. I don't know how we got so lucky but we are super thankful and blessed for Busy Bee and all the good vibes we get from it. Definitely recommend. Oh andd.. she is so sweet to do extra things for celebrations and different holidays/seasons! She took a pic of Cruz, framed it, and got him his favorite toy for our family last month. read more

Busy Bee is so great! My daughter who is almost 4 started going to Busy Bee when she was almost 2. Nicole is so great with the kids and does a lot of fun activities with them from painting, tracing letters, coloring, and lots of other arts and crafts and the list goes on......Breakfast and lunch provided made things a lot easier for us to get out of the house quicker since we didn't have to eat breakfast before drop offs in the morning. I loved that each day Nicole would have a report of what activities were done for the day, including what the kids ate for breakfast, lunch and snacks. We are really going to miss Busy Bee and all the other kids and parents and most of all, Nicole. She has always been so great, always happy and positive. I am so happy I found busy bee daycare! I sent my daughter at 15 months and she stayed at Nicole's for about 9-10 months before we transitioned her to preschool. Those few months at Nicole, my daughter picked up so much! The biggest plus for me was how Nicole encourages the kiddos to be so independent while providing them with support and care. From eating by herself to eventually potty training, Nicole helped with all of those. There are so many fun activities (art and craft projects) that Nicole does with the kids and my daughter is always so excited to show me her new creations at the end of the day. They play, dance, go for walks, and learn important skills like sharing, being polite, and helping friends. Nicole even helps prepare the kiddos for preschool once they turn 2 years with fun worksheets. I get a report of daily activities each day that helps me know exactly what my daughter did, ate, and how much she napped that day. There is a big play area in her backyard and my daughter loves all the fun options out there. Sometimes she's on the play structures, other times she's riding the bikes, or playing with bubbles (there are endless activities both inside the house and outside). Another big plus for me is how accommodating and flexible Nicole is with timings. A couple of times I was running late to pick up my daughter and Nicole was very cool about it. She even offered to take my daughter with her because she needed to be some place and I was late. She did not make a big deal of it at all, which was very relieving! Once the pandemic hit and my daughter's preschool closed down (which she only attended for a month), I asked Nicole to accommodate her and she very graciously did! I'm so glad I found this daycare because it truly feels like Nicole will be there whenever I need her help! My 1.5 year old son has been attending Busy Bee for the past 6 months and we have been very happy with our experience. We were searching in the midst of Covid Quarantine and were looking for a place with less kids with some sort of learning structure. Nicole runs a great play-based program where she keeps the kids count low (4-5 kids), incorporates structure (circle time, art, music, fun activities), gives daily updates, and provides all meals. There are designated rooms for (sign-in, meals, play/learn) and the outside area is huge with so many play options for the kids. She really cares about the kids and I feel that my son is getting dedicated time since her ratio is low. On top of that, her price is the most affordable (don't forget she also provides breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks everyday) that I came across and I looked at A LOT of places. My son loves going to Busy Bee and I am happy to have found such a great care provider, location, and value. If I have friends with kids, I would recommend Busy Bee without hesitation. read more

I have been sending my daughter to Miss Nicole for almost two years now. In addition to her location being convenient to us and in a nice, safe neighborhood, I love that the daycare is run like a preschool. My daughter comes home with a little slip that tells me about her day and with artwork or some kind of preschool-type worksheets. Miss Nicole is very friendly and loving toward our child and our family, and when picking up or dropping off my daughter, it is obvious the kids adore her. We have really enjoyed being a part of the Busy Bee Daycare family. Nicole is professional, but also warm, friendly and down to earth. She has a great sense of humor blended with care and nurturing. Busy Bee is amazing! My daughter was under Nicoles care for almost 2 years and she loved it! She had her own cubby full of her diapers, extra clothes, etc. which made things nice and easy at drop off and mornings less hectic since I didn't have to pack a bag for her. BB is by far the best daycare. I visited a bunch of daycares before I finally chose the right fit for us and our daughter. I was very picky and had a criteria list but Nicole surpassed all of my expectations. Busy Bee is clean, organized, friendly, and fun! My daughter loves Nicole, she's very caring and has excellent communication! She will even take pics of the kids playing throughout the day and send the pictures to us parents, I love that!
