The prices were great, reviews were good, and I was happy with the choice. I gave them a call in June three months before my baby was born and they said it shouldn't be a problem to get him in, just come in when he's born and get on a waiting list. Fast forward to September and my sweet baby boy has arrived. We went in and met the staff, got on a "waiting list" and was told to call in November if they don't reach out first. My baby needed to start daycare the first week of December. So November rolls around and I haven't heard from them, so I give them a call... now they tell me to call back in two weeks and they probably can get me a spot but it's not guaranteed yet. What?!? After the lack of communication and awful waiting period I decided to start calling around. Almost every daycare was booked until January, February, or even later. Honestly, I liked them. But I wouldn't recommend having to deal with their messy organization.

I've never had an issue with them until recently. My 2 1/2 year old son has been having some behavioral problems the last couple of months, which included hitting, biting, and scratching the teachers ( part of his terrible twos phase) and he also doesn't nap anymore since he sleeps 7pm-7am. And apparently that's a big problem for them ( at least that's how they made it seem) Well at the beginning of December the director Jennifer asked me if I have talked to my sons pediatrician to see if there was anything "neurologically wrong with him" her exact words, because he was going through these phases. By the way she decided to say this to me in front of two other parents dropping of their children as well, I find this completely unprofessional and disrespectful of her. I reported her to management and they said that they would have a talk with her and even still after speaking with her, Jennifer didn't have the decency to apologize to me about what she said and how she said it. This isn't a bad review about the daycare itself like I said I loved the daycare. My only issue was with Jennifer and how she went about everything wasn't professional at all.

My babies are no longer at this facility due to a change in employment and schedule but I still recommend them on a high note. The kids love it here and you can feel the energy when walking into the daycare. They also prepared my son well for Kindergarten. When I first took my daughter who was 1 then, it took her 2 weeks to settle and the staff remained gentle and patient, even gave me some pointers to break her into the daycare schedule. I LOVE LITTLE ORCHARD KAYSVILLE! Just by meeting the program director (Michelle Paez) you get a sense of the high standard Little Orchard PreSchool is held to. My 3.5 y/o has a speech delay, mild sensory sensitivity, and severe separation anxiety. Ms. Michelle reassured me that the staff are prepared to help kids with any transitioning difficulties they may experience. They are INCREDIBLY empathetic and patient with each student, my son actually hung out with Ms. Michelle his first 2 days of school and once he felt safe with her; she helped him transition into the classroom without her. The level of compassion and respect they give to our kids is outstanding. Other things I found note worthy... - CLEAN: The facility has a modern and updated interior. The layout is simple and very clean/organized. - STRUCTURED PROGRAM: The program is Montessori based and is very much routined and structured. They have a set daily schedule and implement early education skills (reading, writing, etc.) - GREAT COMMUNICATION: The program director is the bridge of communication between you/your kids and the teachers. This makes communicating thoughts and concerns consistent and easy! If I have a concern about my son, I can just call, text, or email Ms. Michelle and she does the rest. I decided to write this review bc last week I noticed a bruise on my son's face on a day he had school. I reached out to Ms. Michelle and asked if she could check in with his teachers and see if he had an accident or hurt himself. She called me and said that she had talked to all of staff that interacted with my son AND she personally reviewed footage from his school day to make sure there weren't any incidents where he could have been hurt. I just felt very impressed with the level of safety precautions and immediate communication to re-iterate that our children's safety is their top priority. - COMMUNITY: There are activities that families can participate in that make it fun easy to interact with the school community. - PROCARE APP: Little Orchard has a smartphone app where you can sign in/out your child from school, get personal updates from teachers, get pictures/summaries of activities the kids are doing in real time, update personal information, pay tuition, direct message the staff, etc. The app is user friendly, easy to navigate, and makes it easy to never miss an update! Long story short; if you want a community that will enable your kids to thrive socially, emotionally, physically, and academically, CHOOSE LITTLE ORCHARD!

The hours are 6 AM to 6 PM Monday-Friday, closed weekends & major holidays. Kids are given breakfast at 7:30, Lunch at 11, and a snack at 2 PM. Teachers follow a curriculum to provide kids with art projects, learning, and outdoor play. All teachers are CPR/First Aid certified, have their food handlers, as well as have been background checked. Kids are kept a close eye on as well as engaged with individually to meet their own personal goals and unlock their potential. Great learning experience, and the bonds the teachers share with the children are so special!

It is extremely disjointed and disorganized. Nothing is planned ahead so if you aren't checking your 6 different inboxes for info from the school you are bound to miss something. But they do make sure to text multiple times to remind you if you leave your kid there after closing on Tuesdays is $5 per minute. So if they want you to receive a message they know how to send it but if it doesn't benefit them you can expect to go hunting for any info you need. The director is cold and short. I couldn't wait to get my kid out of the school. Nothing like what it says on paper. Mrs. Helen is also a horrible teacher she has no patience or care for children. She shushes our child many times when he needed assistance resulting in traumatic experiences that could have easily been avoided if she had any capacity to work with small children.

The price is reasonable and they have Jesus time. It's quiet and well run. The only thing is I wish they could stay another hour because it's hard with my work schedule to get the timing right. Kids can stay for a set number of hours per day. Our daughter goes part time and is three. Caring staff, so glad we found it!
