The other company(appliance repair by Paul) was able to fix the dishwasher that day, and noted that the pump was in excellent condition. Having used ifix before I am realizing they are malicious scammers and always find a very expensive part to replace. I am certain they were being dishonest rather then misdiagnosing my dishwasher.

Further they were barely any help at all to try to source new parts (did most of the legwork myself). Instead they stuck a heavy wrench tool between hinge where the door meets the oven body and applied body weight pressure against the door -- which they said has worked for other customers it did absolutely nothing at all to fix our issue except to make everything worse. Then they spent the next 15 minutes telling me to consider a new $3000+ unit.

They reopened the ticket and called him and he stated that he will now order the part and get it repaired- Let's see how this goes but if I was picking someone to do the repair myself it definitely would not be him! I like the touch of sending me a picture of the tech so I know who to expect. Gave a time frame that he would be here. Got worried when I got a call that he may be late since he is running behind on his present job. I admit I got worried about the tech canceling on me and having to reschedule. Surprise! Half an hour later he was here. It went quick. He diagnosed the problem, even had a spare part. Fixed it in no time. He spent more time vacuuming out the inner workings of the dryer than actually fixing it. All together it was well worth the call to these guys. The repair itself was much cheaper than I expected it to be. I was worried the quote would have been high enough that it would be cheaper to buy a new dryer. But no. Gonna bookmark these guys!

When we finally reached a manager, we were offered only ~$120 back, while being charged for multiple visits, diagnostics, and a part that did not fix the problem. At no point was it clearly explained that this would be a trial-and-error process with uncertain results. Very disappointing experience--both in terms of the repair outcome and how the situation was handled.

I brought my old part and new part in to the parts desk. The man helping me treated me respectfully. He was very friendly. He got out a multimeter and took measurements on my old and new burners. It turned out, a wire belonged in another position on the new burner. With his help, I switched the position of two wires and had my stove as good as new in five minutes.
