Charming new noodle and dumping restaurant in Katy Asian Town. The interior is very cute with its tropical theme. The tables by the widows really bring the tropical vibe together wth its fun tiki umbrellas. We were lucky enough to have the owner, Angela, serve us. She was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and nice. It's evident she really cares about providing excellent customer service and it really made a positive dining experience for us. Her customer service deserves 10 stars! Now on to the food. Each dish was presented beautifully. I ordered the "Spicy Shrimp" soup dumpling thinking it was only shrimp since the description was just spicy shrimp but to my dismay, when it came out, it had pork in it. Not a big deal since my date eats meat. So fyi, ALL the soup dumplings have meat in it. My favorite dish was the pan-fried vegetable dumplings. The flavor was really good and the dough was just right. The dough was not too thick but sturdy enough to hold all the stuffing together without anything falling apart. I also enjoyed the spicy cucumber salad dish. it was light and refreshing and complemented the dumpling dishes well. My least favorite dish was the Salt and Pepper Scallops. Although the presentation was unique and fun, the taste and texture were really odd to me. I'm a huge fan of scallops but never had scallops like that before. The texture was rubbery and the taste reminded me faux crab sticks. The batter was also really thick. Despite the odd texture scallops, I highly recommend giving this place a try and if you're into soup dumplings or simply love spicy food, you definitely should visit Busy Noodle. Note: They also sell Hydrogen water. The owner was kind enough to let me try it and I definitely notice a difference. The water had a slightly thicker consistency than regular spring or purified water, yet it flowed more smoothly down my throat. Delicious food all around. Interior was beautifully decorated with a unique touch of an island theme. It was warm inside which made it a little difficult while eating spicy/hot food. Service was okay. In addition to the pictures we had seaweed salad, and the sichuan jelly noodles (highly recommend). The spice with the noodles was so flavorful and had the perfect amount of mouth numbing spice. The beef noodle soup was delicious, tender beef and fresh noodles. And the thumb buns were juicy and the perfect bite. I definitely want to go back to try more of the menu. read more

What a charming hidden gem! We came across a post about this place and decided to give it a try, and we're so glad we did. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant was spotless with a beautiful, inviting atmosphere. The two of us ordered the edamame, the shrimp and pork dumplings (10 pieces), and the pork dan dan noodles. It ended up being the perfect amount of food to share. The edamame needed a little bit more soy sauce but that was an easy fix, the dumplings were definitely my favorite--they were packed with flavor. My husband loved the dan dan noodles. The only thing I'd change is adding a little more pork to the noodles, but everything was fresh, light, and absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back! We came back the following weekend for a Mother's Day lunch, and my experience was vastly improved. This time we tried the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings, the braised beef noodle soup, and the spicy chili oil wontons. My favorite item by far was the spicy chili oil wontons. They are truly up there as one of the best Chinese dishes I've had, and I think it might be my favorite iteration of this dish in Houston. There is just so much flavor. We were even dipping our dumplings in the leftover sauce. I enjoyed the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings, much more than the vegetable dumplings from my previous visit. The braised beef noodle soup was my least favorite item this time. I've just had such good versions elsewhere. Busy Noodle's version has a less desirable cut of beef-- too much connective tissue, if you ask me. I got to try the mango and pineapple sparkling drinks-- both were so good and refreshing. Another unexpected favorite was the cucumber appetizer. I'm definitely getting that next time! We didn't run into any service issues, even though we had a group of 10. I found this place from a TikTok post so my friends and I were down to try a new place. It is a cute restaurant with seating that seems too much but is perfect. They were full but we were seated immediately. Service was ok it really depended on who was helping us at the time. I was the first to arrive in our party and after being seated the waitress handed me 5 menus instead of placing them on the table in front of everyone's seat. Food: they were out of the chicken soup dumplings that my friend really wanted, especially since she does not eat pork and she's allergic to seafood. I specifically went for the salt and pepper scallops. Our table also ordered some other dumplings, but I think the favorite of everything was the chili oil Wong tongs. Everything else that we ordered was just OK. The scallops were really big and I wonder where they got them from but I really loved the tempura batter around it and the presentation was amazing. This was a good experience, but I probably wouldn't go back because there are other dumpling places that are better. Also, they say that they're Boba but only drink that they offered us was water. I did see someone with the bubble tea but never was a drink menu or asked if we wanted something other than water and it wasn't just us. read more

Got to try these at to-go for lunch! Ordered the pork soup dumplings, pork & cuttlefish dumpling, and pork & crawfish dumplings. The presentation is so pretty, especially the pork and crawfish one. When it comes to dumplings, I judge the filling, but also the wrapper. The filling was pretty good for all the dumplings. Plenty of flavorful soup in the soup dumplings. However, the wrappers are inconsistent per dumpling. I hate it when a dumpling wrapper is too thick and/or doughy. The filling is overshadowed by the wrapper. Popped into Busy Noodle on my way back to Houston from Austin and left very satisfied. Was were sat immediately and started with the sour and spicy cucumber salad which is very addicting. Crispy,cold,sour,sweet, garlicky and spicy all in on bowl. I could eat this all day. The pork noodles were amazing and don't let the look fool you. The shrimp rolls where okay but I was wanting more but there not bad. The soup pork dumplings were amazing. I love soup dumplings and these did not disappoint. But what I can't believe and what keeps me thinking about Busy Noodle is the Sesame Balls. I thought I was not going to like them but I was wrong. Made to order, so they come out hot and ready to eat. I could eat a dozen of these. The right amount of dough to red bean filling. You will miss out if you don't order these. As a matter of fact, it blows my mind that I am the first to review! But I will take that honor and distinction because again, it's def. worth a visit. This cute little spot with a slightly island feel, is perfect for any occasion. As a matter of fact, it has officially positioned itself as a top spot on my list, earning my second-ever Forks Up Clean Plate Award. We fell in love with Angela the owner and she has nailed an incredible menu full of unique and authentic dishes. Of course, you know our Feastivities was grandioso and like us I am sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We had a soooooo much food and it all hit! From the salt and pepper scallops, to the spicy chili oil wonton and the shrimp and port chives tambo, yum, yum, yum! Oh and if spicy is not your thing, although you can always ask to make dishes less spicy or no spice at all, but Busy Noodles handles the heat very well! I don't usually give bad reviews on restaurants, but this is out of ordinary. Half of the menus were not available since 12 pm during the weekend(I think they did not even prepare them), and I asked if thumb bun was available to order. The waiter said she doesn't know!!! If the kitchen has it, we have it. I don't even know what that means. Do we have to wait until the kitchen says something before we order another? Why can't the waiter just go ask if it's available or not if she doesn't know. Additionally, no plate, sauce, and utensils were provided after the food arrived to our table. It was an overall below average experience for us in the customer service area and I would say average when it came to the food. Customer service was just...non existent. Server didn't say hello, wrong order kept being dropped off and they would just not communicate with is. I had to get up several times to ask for my food, ask for the check. I decided to give Busy Noodle a try after seeing so many posts and recommendations all over social media. I ordered the Sliced Beef & Tripe in Chili Sauce, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Salt & Pepper Scallops, and Crawfish Potstickers. First, the seating. They use small round tables with booth-style seating. It might be comfortable for having coffee, but I found it quite uncomfortable for eating a full meal. Maybe it's because I have a big belly... As for the food, the beef in the sliced beef appetizer was way too tough and difficult to chew. The braised beef noodle soup was disappointing as well. The portion of noodles was quite small, the noodles lacked any chewiness, and the overall flavor was just average. The salt and pepper scallops were served in a box with a flame underneath for presentation. I understand they were going for a dramatic effect, but the food should live up to the presentation. When I took the first bite, all I tasted was a thick layer of batter. The scallop itself wasn't properly seasoned, had a strong fishy smell, and I actually had to spit it out. I couldn't even finish half of one. The crawfish potstickers also fell short. The wrapper was too thick, and the filling was very ordinary with little flavor. For starters, I'll say I ordered a few items: the Chili Oil Dumplings, a Mango Sparkling Water, and the Sesame Balls. They were all served well and with an excellent amount of garnishes. The food is just your typical Szechuan style meals. The service is slow, typical, the staff is friendly. Kudos on trying to be different with the umbrellas and keeping the restaurant at tropical temperatures because it was hot in there. Absolutely appalling experience. When we arrived, not a single staff member acknowledged my wife, who was clearly holding our young child in her arms. We were made to wait an unreasonable amount of time despite there being plenty of open, ready tables visible throughout the restaurant. To make matters worse, when my wife politely asked another waiter about the wait time, she was met with a confrontational and rude attitude rather than any kind of apology or explanation. The most shocking part -- a staff member actually followed my wife and our child outside and proceeded to curse at her. This is completely unacceptable behavior toward any customer, let alone a mother carrying a young child. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Zero professionalism, zero compassion, and a complete disregard for basic human decency. We will never be returning. read more

The noddle was good. But the service has a lot to improve. 1.5 hour into the opening and almost all the dumplings are sold out. I think it's a bit ridiculous. Doubt that I will try again.
