Popped into Busy Noodle on my way back to Houston from Austin and left very satisfied. Was were sat immediately and started with the sour and spicy cucumber salad which is very addicting. Crispy, cold, sour, sweet, garlicky and spicy all in on bowl. I could eat this all day. The pork noodles were amazing and don't let the look fool you. The shrimp rolls where okay but I was wanting more but there not bad. The soup pork dumplings were amazing. I love soup dumplings and these did not disappoint. But what I can't believe and what keeps me thinking about Busy Noodle is the Sesame Balls. I thought I was not going to like them but I was wrong. Made to order, so they come out hot and ready to eat. I could eat a dozen of these. The right amount of dough to red bean filling. You will miss out if you don't order these. Busy Noodle is a cute little spot. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Very casual spot that keeps a rotation of costumers coming and going. I will definitely stop in again.

Got to try these at to-go for lunch! Ordered the pork soup dumplings, pork & cuttlefish dumpling, and pork & crawfish dumplings. The presentation is so pretty, especially the pork and crawfish one. When it comes to dumplings, I judge the filling, but also the wrapper. The filling was pretty good for all the dumplings. Plenty of flavorful soup in the soup dumplings. However, the wrappers are inconsistent per dumpling. I hate it when a dumpling wrapper is too thick and/or doughy. The filling is overshadowed by the wrapper. Hopefully, they'll make improvements.

We came back the following weekend for a Mother's Day lunch, and my experience was vastly improved. This time we tried the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings, the braised beef noodle soup, and the spicy chili oil wontons. My favorite item by far was the spicy chili oil wontons. They are truly up there as one of the best Chinese dishes I've had, and I think it might be my favorite iteration of this dish in Houston. There is just so much flavor. We were even dipping our dumplings in the leftover sauce. I enjoyed the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings, much more than the vegetable dumplings from my previous visit. The braised beef noodle soup was my least favorite item this time. I've just had such good versions elsewhere. Busy Noodle's version has a less desirable cut of beef-- too much connective tissue, if you ask me. I got to try the mango and pineapple sparkling drinks-- both were so good and refreshing. Another unexpected favorite was the cucumber appetizer. I'm definitely getting that next time! We didn't run into any service issues, even though we had a group of 10. They are so accommodating and everyone who works here has been so kind.

It seems like Chinese cuisine has made a huge impact on my dining out list lately and so I've been on a mission to find the best spots in the Houston and surrounding areas! Trust me there is a lot to choose from, especially in the Katy Asia Town area, but let me go ahead and make the choice easy for you: Busy Noodle Boba Tea and More is an absolute can't miss. As a matter of fact, it blows my mind that I am the first to review! But I will take that honor and distinction because again, it's def. worth a visit. This cute little spot with a slightly island feel, is perfect for any occasion. As a matter of fact, it has officially positioned itself as a top spot on my list, earning my second-ever Forks Up Clean Plate Award. We fell in love with Angela the owner and she has nailed an incredible menu full of unique and authentic dishes. Of course, you know our Feastivities was grandioso and like us I am sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We had a soooooo much food and it all hit! From the salt and pepper scallops, to the spicy chili oil wonton and the shrimp and port chives tambo, yum, yum, yum! Oh and if spicy is not your thing, although you can always ask to make dishes less spicy or no spice at all, but Busy Noodles handles the heat very well! Even with a little bit of spice, the balance was absolute golden. It def did not detract from the authentic flavors or burn my tastebuds off; it just enhanced the meal with perfection. If you are in Katy Asia Town and trying to decide where to eat, look no further. Highly recommended!

Stepping into the restaurant feels instantly relaxing -- soft beige tones, cozy corners, and each table carrying its own little vibe. You can even hear birds chirping while you eat. The only downside is that the tables and seating are a bit small, so it can feel tight if you order a lot. The menu looks quite diverse. I really enjoyed the noodles, snacks, and dumplings I tried today. The flavors were spicy yet light. The staff were gentle and attentive. It's the kind of place you try once and immediately want to come back to explore more.

Visiting houston and decided to check this place out!! The interior is super cute! The service was great, waitresses were attentive and food came out fresh! Really enjoyed our meal.

Water with mint, iced. Waitress was very pleasant and warm!

Busy Noodle is definitely a restaurant I would recommend... Everything was delicious. For starters, I'll say I ordered a few items: the Chili Oil Dumplings, a Mango Sparkling Water, and the Sesame Balls. They were all served well and with an excellent amount of garnishes. The waitress that I had serve me was very happy to answer any questions, and checked in on my table frequently; Very nice. The vibe of the place was, too, on point- the amount of plants was shocking to see, but in a bad way. In the sort of way that the atmosphere feels welcoming and inviting... I can't wait to return.

I've finally made it to the original spot for the legendary soup dumplings. "Better than din Tai fung", so I've heard. I can finally confirm: these are probably the best soup dumplings in Houston. We arrived around 6:15PM on a Monday after leaving Spa World (yeah, I was off for the day after an exam). No wait, though I've heard it gets quite busy and it was still decent busy while we were there. Service was very prompt and didn't keep us waiting to put an order in, and dumplings came out hot! We got: #85 Tomatoes and Pork Soup Dumplings (5/5): Whatever they put in this broth, it's like liquid crack. MSG? Who knows. The dumplings come with the perfect texture and you can literally lift them up and see the filled soup inside. Not a single one was broken. The soup was fantastic and the dumpling was excellent. It's seriously the best I've had in Houston and maybe in the U.S. #24 Pork & Scallion Thumb Bun (4.5/5): It was a tad salty, but the scallion offset the pork really well and they were perfect small bites. #27 Spicy Pork & Shrimp Wontons (4.5/5): Loved the red sauce, great wonton texture overall. No extra dips needed. I'm definitely going to try their other location and it's totally worth the trek to this one. Awesome job to the team here!

Turns out, we were forced to acknowledge how good it was whether we wanted to or not... because yes, it really was that good. Tomatoes & Pork Soup Dumplings - I was exceptionally curious about incorporating tomatoes into soup dumplings, so I had to order these to satisfy my curiosity. Grateful to see they also had a thumbs-up on the menu to reinforce my decision. The dumplings were beautifully folded and didn't tear when picked up. You could actually see how much soup was packed inside--they looked like little jiggly water balloons. The broth was unexpectedly sweet while still being savory, with a very clean flavor. My BF said they were probably some of the best soup dumplings he's ever had, and I'd have to agree--they were pretty top-tier. These came out hot-hot. The wrapper felt a bit drier than other soup dumplings I've had, giving it a mildly chewy aftertaste that I wasn't fond of (I'm very aware of textures), but in terms of flavor, absolutely no complaints. It's important to note that I've never been as big a fan of soup dumplings as my BF is, but I admit this place converted me. Time to see how well it compares to Din Tai Fung. Spicy Pork & Shrimp Wonton in Red Oil: - Wonton - Very juicy with well-rendered pork fat. My favorite part was how delicate the wrapper was. After watching the dumpling episode of Chuuka Ichiban (Cooking Master Boy), I became overly aware of the thickness of dumpling wrappers. I have to admit this place absolutely nailed it--the wrapper was just thick enough to hold the filling, yet delicate enough that it almost melted away as you chewed. - Red Oil - Tangy and aromatic. Despite being an oil-based sauce, it didn't taste overly greasy. The seasoning and herbs gave it a signature spice that felt layered rather than simply spicy for the sake of being spicy. It actually grew on me the more I went back to it between the other dumplings, working as a great palate cleanser and taste bud reset. Pork & Scallion Thumb Bun - I'd never had a thumb bun before, but it's quite dainty, just as the name suggests. The texture was a bit firmer than I would have liked--almost like a stiff potsticker. All of these dumplings had a very pronounced pork flavor. I found this one a bit too salty compared to the others, perhaps because the soup dumplings and wontons were balanced by their broth and red oil. Maybe I just needed to dip it in vinegar (someone educate me). I tried it three ways: plain, accidentally in soy sauce, and finally in vinegar. The vinegar definitely mellowed out the saltiness, but this still wasn't my favorite dish. Service was fast and considerate throughout our meal. They refilled our water attentively and checked on us at a meaningful pace without feeling intrusive. I also noticed they didn't play any music here, but somehow the constant buzz of the staff moving around was comforting. The atmosphere felt peaceful and gave off very authentic Chinese vibes. Overall, we'll be visiting them again soon at their new location closer to us. #worth

This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

I love getting banh khot, banh xeo, and banh bot chien for appetizers. Just tried the egg rolls and it was good too. My go to main would be bun dau mam tom. I did not like the bun rieu, was too sweet... probably because different region so rieu balls were different than I was used too also. Malaysian Grilled Chicken Satay - Super tender with a sweet peanut sauce that really accentuated the flavors. Probably my favorite appetizer so far--had to be extra careful around my BF after this! Definitely my brother's personal favorite; I'm sure he ate 3 of them! Hainanese Chicken & Rice - Very tender and chewy with a mild flavor. The ginger-and-scallion sauce at the bottom was very refreshing, and the aromatic rice was among the most delicious I've had! I saw that the grains looked similar to Vietnamese broken rice because they weren't fully rounded. For some reason, this made the texture so much more appealing to me. Curry Chicken Puff - Love the curry flavor of this and the delicacy of the puff pastry. The shell isn't too thick, and the vegetables are very well infused with the curry, making them strong contributors to the overall flavor. Despite it being a pastry, I didn't feel overwhelmed by the carbs--indicating that the breading-to-stuffing ratio of this sat at the perfect pinnacle. Malaysian Roti Canai - One of my absolute favorite dishes here. I would come to this place just for this--the whole table compared the combo to crack. No joke. The chicken and potatoes are some of the most tender pieces in this dish, and you could slurp the broth like it's its own dish. I watched this go way too fast, and even two orders per table were not enough to satisfy the crowd. Malaysian Roti Canai (w. Egg) - Love the original much more, but this was still very delicious. They made the egg very thin, so it didn't overwhelm the roti. The egg took away from my favorite roti taste, but it was so well seasoned I wasn't even that angry about it. Malaysian Char Kuey Teow (Migoreng) - OOH. This has a unique flavor --much more savory than packaged ramen. The texture of the noodles is very inviting. It's much less salty compared to the pre-packaged Migoreng. The flavor was more umami. Rich, deep, and just the perfect amount to coat the noodles. Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetable (w. Tofu) - This is a very saucy vegetable dish, but I didn't mind it at all. I loved it, though it was the last dish I had and I was definitely stuffed by then. The sauce reminds me of a thinner Migoreng sauce--more viscous than a loose sauce, but not as thick as Migoreng. Very good, but my taste buds were definitely overwhelmed by then. Malaysian Milk Tea - Not as sweet as I expected. I was told the tea leaves were imported from Malaysia, and our table ended up ordering six of them. The lingering bitterness in the aftertaste is something I'm very fond of, and the tea flavor is exceptionally rich. The milk infusion in this is exceptional. Malaysian Lime "Calamansi" & Plum Drink - Tasted like a lime-tamarind drink to my BF, while my brother and I thought it tasted like Vietnamese chanh muối. Overall, Uncle Chin's lived up to the hype, just as I knew it would from the day my BF brought home leftover roti from his very first visit. The buzz of having 16 people definitely distracted me from paying close attention to every dish--I even missed taking a few photos--but one thing remained true: everyone was talking about the food. Every time a new dish came out, the table erupted with commentary about its flavor, uniqueness, and overall impact. Some dishes stole the show more than others (my lovely roti, hello), but every single one earned its place on the menu. Very sad we didn't get to see Uncle Chin sing, but with 16 people to serve during the lunch rush, I'm sure he was pretty overwhelmed.

This is a welcome entrance and certainly a wonderful competitor that benefits the consumer considerably. Firstly, let's talk about their menu which is rather extensive frankly we had soup and steamed dumplings, two different meals and to top it off shrimp fried rolls. All of them were absolutely wonderful. As I've said, in other dumpling places since this is a non-native food for me I can't speak to how close to authentic it is but regardless of its authenticity, it is well worth the experience. The service is extremely efficient very prompt you want for nothing. The only problem is that it is now a popular enough spot apparently that the demand on the single server which was in the restaurant on this particular occasion is considerable plus that same server buses the tables. In any case, she was absolutely wonderful extremely efficient and very kind. Took her time to explain items on the menu and then to discuss what some of her favorites amongst the many items they offer are. Will take her up on it the next time. The ambience is rather straightforward. Nothing luxurious whatsoever, but it gets the job done and so I'm certainly not going to opine negatively given the food service and the value. It is quite clean, which to me is a fundamental requirement of any restaurant. This restaurant certainly meets that criteria without any difficulty whatsoever. I would highly recommend this experience value quality of food service all wonderful and should not be missed.

At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better. Plus we dined in around Fall time in 2025 so I think the place would have so change with out last experience
