    Fried rice, Beef Pan-Fired Bao-4Pcs
    Cassidy F.

Came here with my parents on a Saturday evening and we're seated super fast. Neither me nor my parents had been here before so we were nervous that we would not like it, however we were pleasantly surprised. Upon seating, the servers provide you a tablet to order. Most items also have pictures. Overall, I don't remember each item we ordered but all were delicious. We ordered a fried rice, a fish dish, a xlb ordered, some sort of steamed buns, spicy dumplings, and sausages. My favorites were the xlbs, and I'm generally really picky with them! All 4 of us finished the whole meal with no left overs! Overall, super delicious!

Pretty decent dumplings. I've never had the dumpling in a sour soup, and it was interesting. The broth is kinda similar to Tom yum in Thai cuisine, cause it has the same lemongrass flavor profile to it.

Stopped here for some lunch after visiting the H-Mart a few doors down. I really enjoyed my Tom Yum with noodles, vegetables, fish cake, and mushrooms. Spicy enough, but not too spicy. I also loved the edamame. Super easy to order via tablet and service was quick and friendly. There are many Asian food choices all around this area and it was heaven for me.

Service 5/5 Fast good quality service. Attentive Ambiance Play kpop. Clean wooden decorations, table, and sauce containers. Great for eating with friends and family. Food 5/5 every dish we have tried (2 lol) Braised beef brisket 5/5 Tender, saucy, good amount not too salty and good amount of spice!! Perfect with noodles or rice! Beef with stir fried rice noodles. Warning although we chose no spice it was still slightly spicy. Still tasted good so totally not complaining. 5/5 Tender beef pieces in a sweet spicy soysauce flavor. Good amount of beef slices and tasted wok flavor with veggies. Amazing! Definitely will be one of my go-to spots in katy asian town!

Different name (Harmony) , same food. Even some of the same workers. So don't be fooled by the name change. And the food is still good

I've been here twice for the mala spicy base soup, and it's quickly become a favorite. I usually add noodles and beef brisket, and the portions are generous and satisfying. I also order it less spicy, and the heat level is just right for me. The broth is rich, flavorful, and super comforting. The restaurant is clean, and service has been great both times. I was seated immediately and ordered using the iPad provided, which was very convenient. The food came out quickly as well. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Service was friendly but unfortunately the meal was overall a bit disappointing. Ordered the fish maw soup with chicken. Not bad. But a bit bland. The soup dumplings here were a bit doughy and didn't feel like a specialization. The other dumplings and noodles we ordered were all pretty meh. The best part of the meal was the scallion pancakes but wouldn't necessarily recommend coming here just for that. With all the stiff competition in the area, it's tough to see myself coming back.

When in Katy, Asian town is the place to go. One would be remiss not to explore the various Asian cuisines and so we randomly picked JiBeiChuan. Ordering is easy and food is decent though not particularly flexible. Food was plentiful.

xiao long bao, cucumber salad, edamame, dry noodles, scallion pancake Okay we have visited Katy a handful of times but we never tried this place. We absolutely love noodles and we love dumplings so when we saw this, we had to give it a try. We started with the cucumber salad (this is our litmus test!) it's quite refreshing with cilantro atop! Those with peanut allergy, beware, it comes with peanuts on top too. We ordered the scallion pancake, edamame, xiao long bao, and dry noodles. The XLB was quite good, a little in the smaller side and what I loved was the side soy + ginger sauce (some places don't give that nowadays!). The star of the meal, probably the dry noodles which came out late and I forgot to take a photo! Trust me, this dish was delicious.

Stopped by on a Wednesday evening and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised as we wanted a quick meal before running errands. There is a tablet that's provided with lots of pictures that you can order directly off of with accuracy. The front staff who helped us was very kind and double checked with the back staff regarding an onion allergy my wife had. We started with the red oil wontons and my wife had the minced pork dry noodles while I opted for the mixed beef dry noodles. Our meals were quite tasty and left us wanting to come back and try more. So we'll be back!

This was my first time checking out this spot after craving soup dumplings! I really enjoyed the minced pork dry noodles, it reminded me of dan dan noodles or chinese cold noodles. It has a peanut based sauce with chili oil that just hits the spot. However, I was sad that the soup dumplings were not to my liking. It had a very sweet, almost honey-like, taste that I wasn't the biggest fan of. The pan fried baos were also okay, the meat to bun ratio was way off with too much bun, but I did like that the bread was soft and not too chewy. The restaurant is not too big and wasn't very busy when I went, but the owner was friendly and attentive, plus the food all came out really quick.

    Alex N.

Great place to get Chinese food. Very fresh and authentic, it has its own taste that's consistent through their dishes. My fav was the dumplings but the fried rice was still good. Great portion sizes. Highly recommend and I'd come back!

This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

I love getting banh khot, banh xeo, and banh bot chien for appetizers. Just tried the egg rolls and it was good too. My go to main would be bun dau mam tom. I did not like the bun rieu, was too sweet... probably because different region so rieu balls were different than I was used too also. No regrets all…read morearound--everyone thought it was a great place to eat, catch up, and spend the afternoon. Malaysian Grilled Chicken Satay - Super tender with a sweet peanut sauce that really accentuated the flavors. Probably my favorite appetizer so far--had to be extra careful around my BF after this! Definitely my brother's personal favorite; I'm sure he ate 3 of them! Hainanese Chicken & Rice - Very tender and chewy with a mild flavor. The ginger-and-scallion sauce at the bottom was very refreshing, and the aromatic rice was among the most delicious I've had! I saw that the grains looked similar to Vietnamese broken rice because they weren't fully rounded. For some reason, this made the texture so much more appealing to me. Curry Chicken Puff - Love the curry flavor of this and the delicacy of the puff pastry. The shell isn't too thick, and the vegetables are very well infused with the curry, making them strong contributors to the overall flavor. Despite it being a pastry, I didn't feel overwhelmed by the carbs--indicating that the breading-to-stuffing ratio of this sat at the perfect pinnacle. Malaysian Roti Canai - One of my absolute favorite dishes here. I would come to this place just for this--the whole table compared the combo to crack. No joke. The chicken and potatoes are some of the most tender pieces in this dish, and you could slurp the broth like it's its own dish. I watched this go way too fast, and even two orders per table were not enough to satisfy the crowd. Malaysian Roti Canai (w. Egg) - Love the original much more, but this was still very delicious. They made the egg very thin, so it didn't overwhelm the roti. The egg took away from my favorite roti taste, but it was so well seasoned I wasn't even that angry about it. Malaysian Char Kuey Teow (Migoreng) - OOH. This has a unique flavor--much more savory than packaged ramen. The texture of the noodles is very inviting. It's much less salty compared to the pre-packaged Migoreng. The flavor was more umami. Rich, deep, and just the perfect amount to coat the noodles. Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetable (w. Tofu) - This is a very saucy vegetable dish, but I didn't mind it at all. I loved it, though it was the last dish I had and I was definitely stuffed by then. The sauce reminds me of a thinner Migoreng sauce--more viscous than a loose sauce, but not as thick as Migoreng. Very good, but my taste buds were definitely overwhelmed at this point. Malaysian Milk Tea - Not as sweet as I expected. I was told the tea leaves were imported from Malaysia, and our table ended up ordering six of them. The lingering bitterness in the aftertaste is something I'm very fond of, and the tea flavor is exceptionally rich. The milk infusion in this is peak. Malaysian Lime "Calamansi" & Plum Drink - Tasted like a lime-tamarind drink to my BF, while my brother and I thought it tasted like Vietnamese chanh muối. Overall, Uncle Chin's lived up to the hype, just as I knew it would from the day my BF brought home leftover roti from his very first visit. The buzz of having 16 people definitely distracted me from paying close attention to every dish--I even missed taking a few photos--but one thing remained true: everyone was talking about the food. Every time a new dish came out, the table erupted with commentary about its flavor, uniqueness, and overall impact. Some dishes stole the show more than others (my lovely roti, hello), but every single one earned its place on the menu. Very sad we didn't get to see Uncle Chin sing, but with 16 people to serve during the lunch rush, I'm sure he was pretty overwhelmed.

At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better. Plus we dined in around Fall time in 2025 so I think the place would have so change with out last experience
