The ribeye we bought was cut funny and not as tender as we are used to. Go somewhere else for steaks. We will probably not return.

The outside doesn't look like much and with the empty lot honestly I almost kept going because it appeared closed. I decided to pull in and then saw a small open sign above the doorway. It still looked a bit dark inside - it doesn't help there are no windows on the entrance side to help you know someone is inside. But once inside, it is well lit as you walk into the market area. The restaurant is toward the back. The staff were very friendly. I was a little surprised that I didn't have to pay upon ordering - maybe since I was eating in? No problem, just unexpected. Service was very friendly and helpful at the counter. I ordered a chicken tamale and a cerviche tostada, two of my favorite things. I was VERY impressed with the cerviche tostada. Not only was it very tasty (and a generous portion) but finally a place that knows how to properly drain the cerviche before topping the tostada shell so it won't break! The hot sauce served on the side has a little more kick than some places so be prepared. I could have used one more lime wedge given the amount of topping. The chicken enchilada was also very good. As others have reported, the masa was just right - not dry but not overly wet, with an almost creamy texture. And the chicken was flavorful unlike so many places that concentrate more on their pork tamale flavor. She offered red or green salsa. I went for the salsa verde, which again packed good heat but to be expected at an authentic hangout. While waiting for my meal I walked past the meat counter which appeared to have quality meats for sale. I then paid for my meal up front at the counter. It's not super convenient to have to walk back if you want to leave a tip for the restaurant staff if you were in a hurry, but I was not. I will definitely return. I do recommend they do something to make it more obvious from the street (both directions) that they are open.

Prices are good, good enough to warrant the drive up there. They are going to open a store in EDH Town Center in Sept 2026, but not clear that store will be big enough to provide all of the services and selection in their current store. Go try their original store. I expect to continue making the drive!
