Just. go. there. Everything is really good. My BF ordered the creole salmon and I was a bit dubious before it arrived but I ended up stealing it from him bc it was that good LOL. I love salmon so it takes a really outstanding side to distract me from it, but the greens it came with were superb ~ you can order those by themselves too they're that good. You will not regret a visit here!

A 24 hour Bonanza of Beef. This hidden gem bedazzled Without pretension. As the Beef is hanging and curing For All to See, you know these People Care about Quality. I ordered 'off menu' to throw A Curveball but it was handled Superbly in its Simplicity. The Meat tastes like no other. Lightly seasoned with salt and Cracked pepper it Melted into The Cheese and took me to Heights of Ecstasy. I Savored Every Bite and watched as Others ate with Intensity Matched only on Professional Playing Fields. My Return will feature the Breakfast menu as I Dream About those Steak and Eggs. Can we talk Burger? Impressive. I had two. Both the cheeseburger And the house made bacon Burger. Both with toasted Brioche and fresh lettuce Tomato and slice of onion. The Burger Bangs! Uberaschung! The Sexy Surprise was The Coney Island Dog And the Japanese Fried Chicken. Order TWO of The chicken. Or as an Appetizer to something Substantial. Stunning! Bet your last Money The Butchers Diner is a Stone Blast Honey! p.s. Shoutout to the 'Don' Cornelius, ) p.s.s. the 'Condiments' are a thing Of Beauty. Although I am not a Condiment person. A good place for quick lunch or dinner given the service is pretty fast. Also they are open 24 hours so no worries of when you get there. Went here for dinner on a Saturday night given all of the sit down restaurants were packed and I couldn't wait for a table given I had a show to catch. Butcher diner was a good choice in terms of fast service. The cheeseburger was average nothing special although I liked that their buns were hot too.

Open 24 hours. Fast service and really good food for the price. Can not go past the cheese burger (w/- bacon) and a side of chips at the end of long trip. Arrive back in CBD anywhere from 2300-0300 and this place never fails as you can see by the #foodporn attached. Has a vegetarian vending machine too. Cash only can be a hassle but they've solved that by having their own ATM. If you do not like their food it's you who has the problem.

Have been coming here since it opened and I guess I am a teeny bit addicted to the place, and the dinner salad in particular. A small eating space hanging of what is basically the kitchen for the European/Siglo and The French Saloon, the produce is great quality. Don't be fooled by the slightly grotty 70's diner aesthetic, this place has access to some seriously good meat. Keep an eye out for the specials written on butchers paper and taped to the wall and coolroom door (things like venison or a wallaby burger). The steak special is always lovely and tender. It comes with chips but for a few bucks more you can substitute salad or seasonal veges. A limited but interesting selection of wine and beer is available to pair with your steak or burger, and who can go past churros for dessert? (If you have room). Open 24 hours, cash only. BYO pigeon.

    Coney Island chilli dog, delicious.

As other reviewers have pointed out, it translates to "My Local" in Swedish. But what is Swedish about Min Lokal? Well for starters - the design. The front area is beautifully designed with large oaky communal tables, high ceilings and a nice airy feel. They also do good meatballs. That's Swedish thing #2. But what perhaps isn't Swedish is the attitude to time. If you want to unwind and have a long breakfast and catch-up with friends, then Min Lokal is for you. If you are in a rush, I'd go somewhere else. In short: Tim and the rest of his staff are really cool, they do very good coffee, the atmosphere is really chilled and the menu offers a few surprises. Check it out!

At least that was the case for me, although they might have just felt sorry for us because we were splattered with multi-coloured paint after finishing the Color Run. But I digress. The courtyard out the back is small, but a nice, calm little spot, and very quiet. There are sunny and shady spots, which is excellent if you're planning on staying a while. There is also a sort of indoor/outdoor room with a big communal table, as well as the regular seating inside. Highlights: the baked eggs with shredded leg ham was incredible. Also the Bloody Mary - the spice and hot-factor were just right, ice-cubes were made of a coriander-cucumber-salsa concoction; it went down an absolute treat. The coffee was also really good. Notes: tables out the back are really close together, so if you're discussing last night's exploits over brunch, prepare for people to hear you.

The name suggests a connection to the street or bridge in NYC. Am I correct? Located in the alley between Flinders and Collins, parallel to Russell, it was a bit unexpected to find this eatery here. With plenty of tables on the patio and inside, the atmosphere was inviting. Being alone, I didn't want to occupy a larger table, so I decided to grab my order to go. After glancing over the menu, my eyes locked on the 'Reuben,' thinking 'this can't go wrong.' The staff were kind and friendly. Despite not dining in, they allowed me to sit and wait at a table. After a few minutes, I received my order and rushed back to the hotel because I couldn't wait! Excitement led me to open the box like a treasure chest, revealing a huge sandwich - the portion I had been searching for. In Japan, where I live, the general trend is to reduce portions to maintain prices rather than increase prices to keep portions consistent in the face of inflation. Now you understand how crucial this is. Another crucial aspect - the taste was on point. With a generous portion of meat, it dominated the experience along with the sourness from the pickled cabbage. It was a bit too sour for my taste, but I assume that's how a Reuben usually tastes. Overall, I was really pleased with this place and would love to come back again.

The food is awesome. Most sandwiches and burgers are between $12-14. Absolutely worth it. The Mac and cheese toastie with caramelised onion was delicious and crispy. We also loved the poutine schnitzel (with gravy and chips) in a bagel bread roll. Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for with eggplant schnitzels on offer that taste amazing. They are thinly sliced to give them a tasty crunch. The herbed Mayo with spicy sauce and rocket was delicious. Coffee is nice and served in bright yellow cups that match the venue. Hidden in the warehouse district of North Melbourne, a 7 day toasted sandwich restaurant is an odd location, but having eaten here 4 times now, I'm not alone in having discovered it. It's generally busy from 11am onwards, and there's a queue by 1pm. If you're after something light and tasty- go the Harry, if you're wanting something more substantial- the Poutine schnitzel served on a soft pretzel is great, and then for the absurd- grab a Mack Daddy- Pulled pork, Mac N Cheese between grilled cheese slices. Yep. Overall a good experience, but don't stop by if time is tight. 15-20min waits to get your takeaway goodies aren't unusual, and it's worse outside peak rush period. They're also licensed, so if craft beer and toasties are your thing, magic. Well worth a trip.

It's excellent with walk in space after entering and the inside tables show off comfortable seating. (I did wonder if the small steps at the entry might be considered unfriendly to the disabled or mommy pram?) It was quiet and only two other people inside. I ordered a lemongrass tea and scrambled eggs on sourdough rye. First thing, I certainly love tea and have an affinity for even the most unloved types of tea, but... The cup that came with the tea just doesn't work for proper appreciation! The cup should be a proper tea cup... At least a mug! Instead I was given a 2inch tall 1inch wide glass cup that was difficult to pick up once I wanted to sip my tea cause it had no handle and was hot. And finally the presentation of my breakfast reminded me of home economics class... When you first learn to make a dish you worry about how it looks on the plate so it somewhat looks as if it has invisible walls keeping it at bay from each other on the plate... That's what it represented. I feel that the eggs should have been on the toast, but since I wanted butter it was left off the toasted sourdough and put on the side. I thought most restaurants here in Melbourne would put the butter on the toast (if it's sourdough) and then put the eggs of choice on that toast. I normally order scrambled and I feel I know scrambled eggs best. These scrambled eggs were a touch runny and not as firm as I feel they should be. Overall, the inside set up, service, and spacious room makes for a place I'd go back to for maybe a coffee instead of hot tea and salad (since there is so many choices at the counter in the display) instead of scrambled eggs on sourdough toast.
