On Amazon they were only between 90 to 95 when I told them that they declined the job because they wanted to rip me off. Beware who you hire. There's a bunch of crooks out here.... Butch has been out twice in about 7 years for different things. Speaking to the answering service, I assume his wife, is a pleasure. Response is prompt and thoughtful, and so is he. He was able to do what he needed to do on the spot for a reasonable price and event went above and beyond what I wanted him to look at. Only reason I would give maybe 4.75 stars instead of 5 is it's cash or check only. I get some people won't do electronic payments, but it would certainly be more convenient as we write fewer and fewer checks and carry less and less cash. However, that's simply constructive criticism as the company is easy to work with and does great work for a reasonable fee. read more

Amazing customer service provided by Caroline and Butch. I scheduled an appointment because my pool was turning green and all my troubleshooting didn't work. I was seen within a day and after my pool was looked at it was determined that I needed a new pump. The pump was put in a few days later at a reasonable price. Butch even gave me some tips to calm the algae in my pool which worked tremendously. My pool is looking way better now , I will never go to anyone else now for my pool repairs . I received a call a few days after my pump was put in from Caroline letting me know that I qualify for a rebate on my pump... I've never had a company call me to let me know of cash back offers !! I had a cracked part causing my pump to leak badly. I needed someone to come out ASAP to fix the issue. I sent a request through Yelp, along with pictures of the damage. Caroline called me back promptly and discussed the issue with me. As we were waiting for the part to come in, she kept me informed, even saving an open slot for me in case the part came in sooner. She was awesome! What a great experience having Butch come out to repair my Pentair pump issue! He arrived early for the appointment, was extremely nice, and fixed the pump perfectly. When Butch left our house this morning my husband said to me "Well, we found our pool guy." He came out to diagnose and hopefully fix a heater issue. Turns out the heater was fine and it was an issue with the filter not getting adequate water to the heater. I just wonder how many dishonest repair guys would have made up an issue and sold us parts and labor we did not need. He told my husband a work-around so the heater will function until we can get the correct filter. Incorrect, my issue was with the warranty work you provided. When you were called out to replace the salt water system you had to cut and install new unions on the new system. The failure was caused by the new unions you installed leaking, Nothing to do with the home warranty. Where you called out because of a home warranty claim to begin with yes. However your workmanship ship while installing the new system is what caused the future failure in the system. Telling me its not you prob call the home warranty is just trying to pass the buck to them instead of standing behind your work. read more

Dealing with Butch's was a decent experience. What I enjoyed was the quality of service we received for the price we paid. The bummer with dealing in local companies is that the response times, sense of urgency and dedication to getting it ASAP isn't there. When your sex machine, I mean spa, stops working getting your solid back is what's most important. Being soft sucks I stays hard so like any down time costs me loads and loads. Butch's repair technician was efficient in his systemic checks of the Jacuzzi eliminating possibilities of what could be wrong. This diagnostic service would be a paid service elsewhere I feel but Butch's performs it to accurately estimate the work being done. The estimate I received was worth it as after just a couple hours having it back in service I was able to recoup the repair costs and satisfy new clients (even earning a referral and she was fire). If you are out of supplies I would definitely use them as they seem to be the supplier to the local services who offer cleaning services. I knocked them a few stars, one because the time constraints and one because the technician asked a lot of questions seemingly interested in changing careers but not everyone has the length it takes to be successful. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company! Honest and reliable, and knowledgeable too! My "spool" is less than a year old, and we've had nothing but problems with it keeping prime, since day one. For months, I complained over and over and over again to the pool builder, who couldn't be bothered to fix it. Butch to the rescue! He was able to figure it out and fix it on the first visit and also found ANOTHER building defect that the pool builder did. Excellent communications as they let us know that he would arrive a bit earlier than the scheduled 10am. We have a new jacuzzi we got from a friend and wanted a health check done before starting regular use. He examined the system, fixed a sticky ball, advised us on care and service. Oh my goodness I am so happy with the service I received from Butch. My husband call them to come out and check our pool system it has not been operating at all for a month or so. Butch came out while I was at work correct the problem and discuss pricing with my husband over the phone. Our pressure was almost zero, it was July 1st, I have had horrid experiences with "Pool Men" I called Butch, figuring I would have to leave a message, but his wife answered and assured me he would be here July 2nd....and to my delight he WAS!!!! And a REPAIR man...not a "Pool Boy" He looked at my pump and had it fixed in1 1/2 hours for under $200.00....AMAZING!!!! He told me my motor was going ( it's almost 11years old, so no surprise there) Gave me a complete cost and to call when it does! We had a great experience with this company. Carolyn took my call and I was able to send her pictures of our pump so they were able to figure out what we needed without even having to come to the house. The part was fairly expensive and hard to get, but she made sure to give me a quote on parts and labor so I knew what to expect to spend before she ordered it. They were able to get the part a couple days earlier than expected and came right out and fixed our pump in about 30 minutes. Hopefully we won't have any more issues with our pool equipment, but if we do, we will be calling Butch and Carolyn again. read more

Amazing pool repair service! I discovered Butch initially through my home warranty company when my pool pump motor went out. He was quick to respond and fixed everything perfectly! Today, I nearly had a disaster on my hands when the gardener inadvertently cut wires to the system (while it was running) and nothing was running. I had saved Butch's number and called him right away. He responded within the hour and pulled the panel, tested everything. Luckily for me the motherboard had not blown, only a fuse! My spa is an older model and came with the newly purchased home "as is." I could not get the temperature above 83 degrees and the spa would continue to run. I requested a quote on HomeAdvisor and Thumbtack. No responses. I decided to search on Yelp. Butch easily accommodated my schedule and arrived right on time. Really glad I called Butch to check on my pool pump. I had an older single speed pump, that I had replaced the motor on a few years back. It was, as I thought...toast. Butch recommended that I get a new variable speed pump that would set me back $1300. Really glad that I took his advice. The new pump is really energy efficient, plus I got a manufacturer and SCE rebates. My electric bill is now almost 50% less per month. This pump will pay for itself in less than 2 years.
