I am very grateful for the amazing help provided by the competent and knowledgeable staff and technicians at Leslie's Pool Supplies. When my pool pump was not running properly, I called the Leslie's Hesperia store, and Jose was extremely helpful. He listened carefully to the problem, made sure the details were noted, and efficiently scheduled Emilio, a Leslie's technician, to come out and take a look. My sincere thanks to Emilio for doing such a thorough inspection of the pump. He replaced the O-ring on the pipe, identified other details concerning the area beneath the pump, and gave me helpful advice on how to keep the motor in good condition. Most importantly, he was able to get the pump working properly again. Many thanks also to Brandi at the Bear Valley store, who went above and beyond by drawing on her extensive contact list to give me references for highly competent technicians who could address the additional issues Emilio identified. It has now been over two months since I was promised that someone would come out and take care of the issue, and I still have not received any updates or service. The pump is still under warranty, so I expected this matter to be resolved in a timely manner. I understand delays can happen, but two months without any resolution or communication is unacceptable. I would appreciate a clear timeline for when the pump will be replaced. If I do not hear back soon, I will need to consider other options. Buyer beware! This place will say ANYTHING to make a sale regardless if it's right or safe :( Someone asked for examples - they told me to break apart a pool tab for my spa because they were out of 1" tablets DONT EVER DO THIS ITS SUPER BAD FOR YOUR WATER, FILTER GASKETS AND HOSES we had to replace a bunch of stuff after that so yeah.. it was wrong. Last time we were there they didn't have the tablets again so the lady said to use bromine. It doesn't clear the water though again.. wrong. read more

I have been to this location several times since moving into a home with a pool last year. It has been very hard to find pool service in my area so I am tasked with figuring things out myself so THANK GOODNESS for the staff at Leslie's. Every time I go in they take the time to understand my pool concerns in order to help me purchase the items I need then they actually explain to me step by step how to use the products. My husband and I came in for a pool light, and was told that today there is a 15% off and the light would be around $600, he had two left in stock. We left to Target to buy dog food and discuss paying over $600 for a pool light. After about 15 minutes, we came back to bite the bullet and buy the light. When entering the store the manager said that he had already sold it to a customer on the phone, who would pick it up tomorrow. He said the only way we could buy it now is if we pay the full price of $800. But the store had a 15% off everything today. He acted like a compete asshole and we felt like we were being scammed. Be careful! I will be contacting corporate over this shady store manager. This is not customer service. read more

Do not go here. I went here to get advice on my above ground pool. And they helped. Sold me a few products to put in the pool to keep it healthy. It went well until the first time we used it the pool got alegy the next day. We went back to get advice on how to fix it. And they gave us a regiment after selling us more product. It cleared the alegy but pool looked cloudy. The third time I go back they said the water had to much chlorine. And to much conditioner. Which is one of the things they told us to add. And the treatment was to drain my pool a couple feet. And add some more chemicals. At this point I'm like why didn't you tell me about these chemicals when I came in about the alagy. So I got a second opinion. They informed me that what they said was mostly right. But also some was uneccisary. And that we did not need to drain our pool. And just add the clarifier. This is fine and all not even the reason I'm mad. So I want to return some of the product I got which was only a week ago. As now I'm going to be using a similar product. And at this point a little irritated. When I try the employee working is very irritated that I'm returning product and try to aggressively find out why I want to return it and they won't take it anyways. Cause I have no receipt. The product I'm trying to return is 6 1 lb bags of shock unopened, and it's their brand. And I can pull up my bank statement proving I bought it there. Be careful. I've been going here for a few years, last year we had a great experience here! Everyone was super helpful and kind. It might be today's climate but I've been going here for the last 2 weeks now for water testing and it feels very rushed and like they don't care. I told her my pool was 35000, she kept telling me my chlorine was too high and there was nothing else she could do. I bought the product to bring down chlorine levels and she told me it was still too high a few days later. She was able to give me a print out the second time and wanted me to buy 4 different products that would be over $200, I looked at the top of my print out and noticed that she had put 15000 and NOT 35000. No wonder she kept reading my chlorine so high, she was testing for a pool that was half the size of mine. I'm glad I caught this but I'm disappointed that I already spent $100 in the first place trying to fix my pool. 2 weeks later and I'm back at square one and trying to figure it out on my own. read more

Either don't know know what they're doing or don't care enough to do their job accurately. They tested my pool water and told me it was too chlorinated. I was a bit surprised because my at home test didn't indicate that. After buying the recommended products, I went back to test it again. And still, according to your manager, it was too chlorinated. It didn't make sense. I then realized the test she gave me was for a pool half the size of mine. Terrible oversight. Will not come back here. read more

I went In to get help with the chemicals for our new above ground pool. I had NO IDEA what I needed! The employee named Lisa was so full of knowledge I couldn't believe it! She set me up with exactly what I need! She gave me a printout with all of the instructions, and marked the chemicals in numerical order of how I should put them in. I felt confident in knowing I was going to get the set up right when I got home. Excellent service and I will definitely go back! read more

Years ago I was a loyal customer of leslies. They've installed all of my pool equipment. I've moved back to the area and tried to utilize their services. But they told me that I would need to have a customer account number to make a service appt. Ok. So I dug out my receipts for the major purchases I had made and gave them the Acct number. They couldn't find it. I suggested that maybe they had updated their data base and it had been lost. They told me no that if I were ever a customer there that I would be in the data base. Told me I needed to sign up for a new Acct. Ok let's do that. Told me that I would have to go into the store to sign up for a new Acct before requesting a service appt on the equipment they installed. Short story long...they said they would call within 24 hrs to make an appt. Never happened. Days later sent me an e-mail with an appt time I never agreed to. Then I couldn't get them on the phone to cancel the appt. If you have time, energy, & money to waste the leslies is the place for you. Oh and they may be based out of Arizona. I'll use someone local from now on. read more

If I would have posted this review 6 months ago, it would have been -5 stars. I purchased a new Hayward pool sweep, which had a 2 year warranty. After 8 months it stopped moving so I took it in. The young man working said he would take a look. He used a regular Philips and took one small cover off, blew out the compartment, put it back together and said "there it just needed to be cleaned out." But, would recommend this different basket, $150.00 later I thought I was good to go... Fast forward 2 yrs, $200+ for "this will fix your problem" parts, 9 trips into store, the sweeper was still not fixed. I went in this final time ready to say enough is enough, but there was a new young man working and was hired specifically for service/repair dept. Ruben Lopez, took my sweep and after me explaining what had happened he took the whole sweep apart, showed me the problem all while apologizing. The owner was there and heard me talking and only charged me for some wings and shoes. My sweep is working Perfect!!! Ruben is a great asset to this store and renewed my faith in not only the repair dept. but, the store as a whole! Thank you Ruben! read more
