Apparently, his time is too valuable to speak to his patients. On my second appointment at this office, it looked like they were ready to make me play the same waiting game and make me pay for the privilege. The staff is rude and arrogant. I asked them why I had an appointment to begin with. They told me to speak to the tiny little man who takes payments. He was extremely rude. I told the staff that they were all rude. Little man told me to leave. I told them I would never be back. Skip this joker. I highly recommend Florida Vision with offices in Port St. Lucie, Stuart, West Palm Beach, etc. They are professional, friendly, and did a great job on my cataracts years ago and following a retina problem that I had back then. I told her that seemed awfully high even after my 10% military discount which she didn't seem happy about me mentioning. She told me one pair wasn't eligible for any discount as they were safety glasses. I showed her a card I received in the mail and she told me I wasn't eligible for it. I told her I would be paying for the exam and wouldn't be purchasing any glasses. I also told her with my insurance last time I only had to pay $19 for exam. She told me the eye x ray was an additional $20 which at my ophthalmologist was covered by my health insurance. She deducted that and told me I owed $20. I feel like I was being ripped off today. Why do I even have to ask why I was being charged so much higher than last time. My insurance was the same as before and with me going there for many years I was treated horribly. It was just a horrible experience overall and no reason was given to me as why she couldn't or wouldn't assist me in getting a fair price, she didn't even try. Dr Tommy Coffman blinded me in my right eye while removing a cataract…read more he charged me $2,900 for a multifocal lens. He was wrong as I had previous surgery and according to other ophthalmologists should not have been used. it nearly blinded me and can't be removed. so, I can't use my right eye. my other eye was repaired by a competent Doctor and now I can see only through my right eye. Dr Coffman won't even refund me for the bad lens he used. I don't recommend him. there are much better doctors out there.
