Highly disappointed with Butler's Electric Supply. I had placed an order on November 16th and paid in full. I was told my order would be in on December 11th. 6 days after the 11th, I was finally able to get in touch with the sales woman that helped me. Apparently my lights never came in because they are now out of stock. No communication took place with me or with the company they were receiving the lights from. Now I'm told my lights will not be in until the end of January. This experience and lack of communication has been frustrating to say the least. read more

Our builder provided us with a list of preferred vendors and we chose Butler for our lighting since they are local, they have a showroom and I wanted guidance in choosing the correct fixtures for each space. I have two issues. First, they are about 20-30% overpriced depending on the light - but thanks to a lot of legwork on my part they price- matched. Second, there was one pendant light that simply did not fit the space, but since it was installed they would do nothing to make it right other than offering to order another light at my expense. Overall, I have spent close to $3000 and they were not willing to budge on one $228 pendant (originally $275 until I found it cheaper elsewhere). Poor customer service on their part- what a disappointment. read more

The product I purchased from Butler's Electric was a special order and shipping cost was added. No problem because I was informed ahead of the sale. We asked if the item was returnable and were told it was but were not informed, at the point of sale, that a restocking and return shipping fee would be charged if returned. We did return the item and the additional fees came to over 50% of the original cost. The salesperson should have told us, at the time of purchase, about the restocking and shipping fees especially since we asked the question about the item being returnable before it was purchased. She pointed to a piece of paper, taped to a glass window, and said that the fees were mentioned on the paper. It is the responsibility of the salesperson, not the customer, to tell all facts about a return so the customer can weigh the cost that will be incurred if the item needs to be returned. This is a policy this salesperson, or store, needs to change for the fairness of the customers. read more

Butler's Lighting is my go-to place for hard to find light bulb sizes and unique shaped and sized light fixture globes. They are very helpful and we'll be honest with me if they feel I can find a particular item for a lesser price at a big box store. read more
