Getting a tour of the Wildlife Museum

Super cute, very cozy, clean and extremely welcoming :) My buddy and I are exploring the peninsula and needed a place to stay. When we called Butler's the sweetiest women in the world answered and without hesitation wanted to make us feel welcome and as comfortable as possible. As we're still 2 hours away, she offered to meet us upon arrival. While checking in we learned all the history and education about animals, hiking and sight seeing which was very helpful, don't miss the beautiful nature museum in the office . It was nearing 8pm which meant all restaurants we're closed, we're out of luck to find food, however, like an angel, she brought us warm fish to our door . It was so amazing, what a giving . Our room was bear themed which was nothing short of perfect, just steps from the door we noticed a few racoons eating some food our host had placed out, such an awesome experience, they're adorable. Highly recommend, you'll never find anything like it, not to mention it's the best deal in town for $65 a night (it was Thursday), the host is the sweetest lady ever, bring a smile and you'll leave feeling loved with great memories of this spectacular place

Amenities inside, this place is great.

If you judge a book by its cover, you will miss out on a deal. Beds are comfy, room is clean and quiet, coffee and hot chocolate included. Price is very reasonable and what you get quoted is what you pay, no hidden fees or extra taxes. I will be back!

We booked 3 cottages at Chito Beach Resort in Sekiu, Washington. My brother and his wife stayed in The Birdhouse (whose deck officially became our favorite hangout spot) We spent many memorable hours there, enjoying the ever changing views of the sea, wildlife, and spectacular sunsets. My sister stayed in The Wolf Den. I stayed in the cottage adjacent to hers, The Lighthouse.  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Lighthouse Cottage. The bed was soooo comfy. Water pressure was great. So much attention was paid to every charming little detail. Nothing was overlooked.  And that view!  On Saturday night the owners, Tamara and Matt had a little get together around the bonfire with all of the guests at Chito Beach. (There are a total of 6 cottages) They were wonderful and gracious hosts who served us beverages and DELICIOUS appetizers. They made us feel very welcome there.  After I got back home, I sorted through the MANY photos that I'd taken, and decided which ones to post on Facebook.  As gorgeous as some of them are, I think some of the pictures of the sunsets at Chito Beach are even more stunning than my photos of the Cape.  Especially on our last night there. Truly magical and almost otherworldly Our time there was an experience that our family will treasure forever.

It was also our first bnb experience, and they shot it out of the park! After a long day of exploring, we were met with a home that was warm, filled with all the details you could imagine, & kind hosts. 10/10 would recommend!! And an amazing breakfast to boot! My only note is that it looks like they don't change the sheets or have the room tidied up for you after you check in. If one is staying longer, a room refresh would be nice :)

The Inn was spotless, well-managed, and truly a notch above places we've stayed in the past. Breakfasts were outstanding and served with genuine care and attention--on real china, no less! It made mornings feel extra special, and I'm still thinking about those amazing muffins. We felt truly appreciated and welcomed throughout our stay. The thoughtful touches didn't stop there: Dessert bar each evening, 24-hour access to coffee, tea, cider, hot cocoa, ice, and ice water made us feel right at home. While the rooms weren't huge, they were very comfortable, (and well equipped with anything we could need) and the well-designed common spaces more than made up for it. We especially loved enjoying dinner on the deck each evening--it was the perfect spot to relax and make memories. High praise to the owners for creating such a warm, well-run retreat. We'll absolutely return if the opportunity arises. Kudos and bravo! I wholeheartedly recommend the Misty Valley Inn!

We got here around the afternoon and were able to check in to the room and then walk around the area to explore. It was a little chilly but bearable. I didn't realize early June would still feel a little cold, but alas, we were up north amongst the misty emerald green forest so I imagine it's expected. The lodge is close to several hiking trails, a creek that flows out to the lake and from the restaurant lodge and patio, a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. When dinner came around we were pretty famished. I decided to try their copper river salmon entree and my boyfriend got the mac and cheese. Aunt Carol got the sliders and we all shared the lovely dessert . As soon as our waiter told us their pastry chef had an Ube cheesecake, we had to try it! Everything was delicious. Especially being that they are pretty far from most places, the dinner was quite creative and impressive. The Ube cheesecake was served with blackberries and it was more of a light fluffy cheesecake than a rich and heavy cheesecake. The Berry crumble was crunchy and tart. I got to have a bite of the mac and cheese and it was warm and tasty. We left happy and satisfied with our meals ready to relax in our room. The room was simple and comfortable. The only thing missing was a top sheet on one of the queen beds but it was quickly remedied. Our room was a short walk from a parking lot and a short distance to walk along the lake too. I love that there was a back door to the room with chairs outside to enjoy the area. Check in and check out was easy. The staff were helpful and happy to answer any questions we had about the stay, hiking trails, and anything else. The lodge itself had a welcoming and warm vibe with comfy leather chairs and a game of chess at the ready. We truly enjoyed our stay here and hope to stop here again if our adventure takes us this way. We headed back home extra thankful Aunt Carol thought to book this place. It was a wonderful place to take in nature and relax.

When I arrived, I was informed that we would be on the second floor and have to share bathrooms and showers with others on the floor - one shower for men and another for women, one bathroom for men and one for women. It was NOT what I wanted and they couldn't change it because there weren't any rooms available. Absolutely awful. The room was so small and had nothing in it besides the bed and nightstand. There was so much noise all night long from the lodge downstairs. The gaps under the doors and windows allowed all the sounds to come from the hallway and adjoining room as well. Just awful.

I enjoyed conversations with them all. Everything was amazing. The room was super cozy. The bed was probably the most comfortable i've ever slept on, besides mine at home. The view was great. The homemade breads were amazing in the morning. Everything was very well kept and very clean. Relaxing on the porch or the swing reading the twilight book was great. Also, they have the movies there so you can watch them in your room if you would like to. We watched them all while staying there and it feels so different when you're actually in the location.
