View from one of the porch tables. You can get your breakfast out here too! Beautiful view. 100s of hummingbirds to watch too!

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! We had the French Room which had its own bathroom and shower. The shower is great! Also has shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel so you don't have to bring your own. Nice fluffy towels too! They also have little things like q-tips, cotton pads for makeup remover which is nice. The bed was super comfy! The sheets were some sort of special type that were very soft. The room also had phone chargers by each stand, plenty of closet space, etc. The room also had a nice fan, electric fireplace, and ear plugs...so lots of options of you have trouble falling asleep...but I doubt you will as the bed is amazing! The breakfast was HUGE! Not only do you get your choice per the menu, you also get bread pudding and some blackberry crumble. All of it was super tasty, hot, and fresh. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend for others! Noting: close to great places like Hoh Rainforest, Ruby Beach, Rialto Beach, Hole in the Wall, etc. Great place to stay to hit amazing sites and hikes!

If you've never been to Forks, it's a small town of 3500 people famous for being the location of the Twilight movies(not where they were filmed but where the book takes place). In such a small town, you wouldn't expect to find such a beautiful B&B but that's what we stumbled upon. Misty Valley Inn is owned by Tricia and Tim, two of the nicest people we met on our long Washington trip. They serve an incredible 3 course breakfast that words can't describe (props also to the chef, Dorinda). While staying in the area to visit Olympic National park, we had such an amazing time exploring the Hoh Rainforest and hanging out with Tim and Tricia and the other guests. The house is beautiful and immaculate, our room ( the Dutch room) was comfortable and has a great bathroom and deck with views. Check in was seamless as it was all electronic and Tricia sent you your code and a txt message letting you know the room was ready. The deserts were also a surprising touch after a long day of hiking. Thank you again Tim and Tricia for the amazing hospitality, we will be back and look forward to watching all the Twilight movies in Forks! Stephen and Krystal

Lots of people told me not to bother staying in the town of Forks, but they obviously never stayed at the Misty Valley B&B. It may be out in the sticks, but it offers all of the charm and amenities that one would find in world class B&Bs from around the world. I came solo during the weekday in the winter (February), and was able to book the day of my stay. I was the only guest in the facility, but the innkeeper still offered me five-star service. He gave me a tour of the house which included a common area with a tv, piano, couches, books, games, an incredible valley view, etc. There is a hot tub on the patio. The dining room has hot water available for making tea, cider and hot chocolate. Plus chocolate cake and lemon bars were there for snacking anytime. Each of the rooms has their own bath and shower. Everything you need for the stay is at your fingertips: robes and slippers in the closet, shampoo, conditioner, and soap in the shower. They don't believe in alarm clocks here. Instead, you schedule your "wake up knock" at the door. When you open the door, a tray holding a vase with a rose, a card with the weather and tide report, and your preselected choice of tea or coffee is waiting for you. The breakfast menu is presented to you the evening before. You can choose the hour you dine and select waffles, pancakes, crepes, french toast or omelette. I selected the latter because I thought it would be the easiest, but even the simplest item is presented with the fanfare of a royal visit. They will spoil you rotten. Indulge and enjoy! I loved my stay here so much, I even considered booking an additional night, but since I had over 1000 miles to drive, I thought it best to tear myself away from the royal treatment before the addiction became to great. This place is the definition of hospitality and refinement. You're going to love it!

Unbelievably great hospitality from the new owners. The whole family was so polite & accommodating, our family had a total blast. The food is unreal and the views and coziness can't be beat. We will absolutely be back and couldn't recommend this place enough.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful time on all fronts. We stayed in the Irish Room (all the rooms are themed, I believe), and it was clean, comfortable, had plenty of linens, and we didn't lack anything during our stay. It was a relatively quiet room - we weren't disturbed by any outdoor noises during the night. The walls are a bit thin, so there were a few times we were wakened by our early-rising neighbors - but it wasn't a big deal. In the mornings, a tray was brought to our door with our preferred morning drinks, and then breakfast was served at a time that we determined the day before. It was service at its finest. The breakfasts were both delicious and filling! The first morning, I had the pancakes (I ordered mine with triple berries, pecans, and oats) with maple syrup. My wife had the Moroccan-style omelet. Our meal also came with scones and spiced apples. My favorite part was the pancakes, just because of how much they put into the pancakes, and yet the pancakes all still held up and weren't mushy on the inside like loaded pancakes can sometimes be. The omelet was very flavorful with its mixture of spices - my wife enjoyed it. For our second breakfast, I tried the waffles (mine came with pecans and walnuts and was filled and topped with whipped cream), while my wife got the strawberry crepe. The meal came with cinnamon buns and spiced peaches. They were very generous with the whipped cream (if that's your thing - if not, I'm sure they're happy to customize your dish for you), and the portion sizes were again very satisfying. In the afternoons / evenings, there was an extensive selection of teas to choose from, as well as many sweets available for snacking - lemon bars, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and chocolate cake. Very dangerous, but also very awesome. The view from the dining table and deck was beautiful, and part of its charm were all the birds that visited in the mornings. The location is great, as it's on the outskirts of Forks, so it wasn't far from Rialto Beach (~30 minutes) and the Hoh Rainforest (~1 hour), and there is a sufficient amount of dining options in Forks, which they recommended to us when we arrived. Overall, it was a comfortable, warm, and welcoming stay for my wife and I. We were treated incredibly well, and the service, as previously mentioned, was top-notch. It was well worth it, and made for a great trip to the Olympic Peninsula for us. So if you're planning on a trip out to this area, I would definitely recommend checking out the Misty Valley Inn!

Very cute place to stay! This was our first B&B experience and it was great. Hosts were very nice and helpful, bedrooms were very clean (we stayed in the French room) and breakfast was delicious! We got the crepe, French toast, and my favorite, biscuits and gravy. Breakfast started with very tasty blueberry cobbler and a cinnamon roll. We ate on the deck with a beautiful view. Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous and amazing The dessert bar had these amazing lemon bars (forgot to ask for recipe) and football on a big screen- score.. After hiking in rain all day, the hot tub was a 102 degree relaxation of pure heaven needed.. Morning wake-up was so sweet, and everything looked beautiful, can't even explain how special this all was..

My wife and I arrived here a little after 5pm. It wasn't too hard to find at all with the directions given to us. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! It's so serene here... We were greeted by Marsha and quickly checked in. We put in our order for breakfast and also a wake up call which consists of a knock at your door with a tray of your choice of tea or coffee. She also had several menus from restaurants around the area and offered suggestions. We were then shown around and to our room. It was a pleasant surprise that we were the only ones staying. We were also upgraded to the Dutch room with a view of the wonderful valley outside. The room is beautifully decorated, roomy, and very cozy. It has a comfortable, soft, and warm vibe to it. You can make yourself at home here. My wife and I ordered pizza from Pacific Pizza, ate at the kitchen table, and relaxed on the couch with direct tv. The sofas are super comfy. Can't wait to wake up to some Logger Pancakes and Old Fashioned French Toast with maple syrup. Breakfast was amazing! We had spiced pears to start things off. The French toast is the best I've ever had. The pancakes were nice and crispy and so flavorful. We absolutely loved our stay here. We will be back one day I'm sure!

Misty Inn Bed and Breakfast was a piece of North Coast Paradise. Starting with Jim greeting as we arrived and taking us around the place. He showed us where all their homey amenities where including fresh bakery goodies and a hot tub. He was very knowledgeable of the area for dinner and things to see. Their breakfast was over the top delicious with drinks, a rose and the weather brought to our door. I would love to come back if we are in the area. They all know how to pamper you!

Misty Valley Inn is the perfect Bed & Breakfast if you're in need for a getaway. Misty Valley Inn is just minutes from the "Welcome to Forks" sign. The owners, Rachel and Jim Bennett were amazing hosts and their exceptional service is unmatched! Room: We booked the Dutch Room for two nights--only room with a king-sized bed, full private bath and private deck. (I had a peak of the other rooms since we arrived early...and I'd definitely recommend the Dutch Room. It worth the extra $$. The other rooms are pretty small). Every nook and cranny was true to the theme, I loved it! We even had our own little fridge which was perfect to chill our wine for the evening. Service/Food: OMGGGGGGGG....Rachel is an aMazing cook! As soon as we arrived, she sat us down in her kitchen and enthusiastically described her breakfast specials. We made sure we ordered different breakfasts each morning! *Washington Apple Souffle *Irish Waffles with Orange Sauce *Strawberry Crepes *Old Fashion French Toast *Subtle Moroccan Omelets *Fruit and Nut Pancakes ***My most favorite thing about the Inn was the beverage service before breakfast. Rachel prepares coffee, tea, or hot chocolate (with amazing whip cream) places it on a bed tray with fresh flowers and a little note card with details of the weather and tide and sunset. I really appreciated the little details that Rachel did to make our stay extra special!*** Location: Okay...so if you have as Tom Tom, you're NOT in luck. Our little handy dandy Tom Tom led us 10 miles past Forks into the Olympic rain forest, no bueno. Our phone service wasn't that great either-- it kept leading us in different directions. We finally called Rachel and she was able to give us clear directions to the Inn. This Bed & Breakfast truly spoils you rotten! I'll definitely be back just for the amazing hospitality! ***Note: FREE wifi! And sadly no TV's in the rooms...so bring your portable DVD player or iPAD with your fav movies. There's honestly nothing to do in the evening in Forks other than grabbing a nice bottle of wine or heading to the local bar :)

If you plan to explore the Olympic National Park and need a place to stay, I definately would recommend this place. This is my second time staying in a bed and breakfast inn and so far it's the best! This inn is actually a house owned by a couple and run by them. It is not a fancy type of hotel or new but it definately makes you feel like you're visiting a relative/family. They have four rooms only made into a certain theme like the French Room, Irish Room, English Room, and Dutch Room . The rooms are clean, comfy, and cute. There is no television in any of the rooms but there are plenty of books in the living room and hallway you can pick up to read. The walls are not thick therefore you can hear other people around you. Then the food they serve you was beyond wonderful. Every night someone comes to ask you what time you want to be woken up and what drink you want at that time (coffe, tea, hot chocolate, etc). Then they ask you what time you want breakfast and what food you want. The food they serve are HUGE! Including the dish you ordered, they give you some hot fresh muffins and some type of cooked fruit with cinnamon and whipped cream. If you can't finish it, you can bag it for a snack later; which is very handy since there's difficulty finding good food anywhere around Forks, WA. Out in the dining room, there is a section where they have brownies, cake, cookies, tea, etc that you can feel free to grab whenever you want. Besides the food and room, the view in their backyard is amazing! Everything was great during my stay and the owners were very friendly and generous. When I left, they even asked me if I wanted to bring some snacks for my trip out. If you're looking for a lot of privacy though, I wouldn't recommend this place but other than that, it's an A++++ place! DEFINATELY COME HERE!! =) I know I would if I visit the Olympic National Park again!

It's easy to be misled in thinking that there are no good places to stay in Forks. However, our family has never had a more enchanting, accommodating, and comfortable stay than here at the Misty Valley Inn, right in Forks,WA. The location is quaintly nestled away in an outdoor paradise with wildlife and fauna galore, that simply no place in Port Angeles could offer. More importantly we have never experienced the level of hospitality that Rachel, Jim, and their staff provided. The food is outstanding, the beds comfortable, and the soul re-charging energy of this place is something you simply can't put a price tag on. If you are planning a trip to the Olympics, make this at least a one night stay!

It was great to curl up on the couch with wine and a movie after a long, cold, wet day of hiking in Olympic National Park. The kitchen is updated and fully stocked, even had spices and such. There's a small dining area where we ate breakfast every morning. The price is great and way below any of the waterfront "resorts" I also found online. We ended up driving past some of the other places I considered and they looked like dumps. Our house was adorable and actually probably the nicest house in town, from what we witnessed. The location is unbeatable for trips into the Rainforest and Olympic National Park. Port Angeles is a quick 45-60 minute drive if you need a "city." The drive from Seattle airport to Forks is beautiful and was definitely a great part of our trip. A note on Forks, WA: This place is weird. Of course I'm aware of the Twilight phenomenon and the role Forks plays. There is NOTHING here. There are a couple of poor to mediocre restaurants. A main street with some everyday shops, hardware stores, and bizarre Twilight themed shops. We didn't spend any time in the town except for a couple dinners. We found Pacific Pizza to be the least disappointing. We would totally stay here again and would definitely recommend to friends.

The drive through the forest to get there was stunning--lush greenery and breathtaking scenery--but do be aware that it gets very dark at night. The entrance to our room was conveniently located off the main lodge area, making it easy to come and go. The space was cozy and well-equipped, with a dining area, a small fridge/freezer, a microwave, and in-room coffee--always a nice touch! Dishes and silverware were provided, which was great for quick meals, though if you're staying more than a day, just note that there isn't a dedicated spot for washing them. The wifi network provided in the ROOM (manitoulodge2) didn't work, and I was told to go to an entirely separate building to work. Unbelievable. That's another thing, if you look at the listing, the "lodge" refers to 1)your cabin 2)the entire property "Manitou lodge" or 3)the "great room" /main lodge. They told me the listing provides that wifi is only available in "the lodge" (the main lodge, a separate building) and denied any obligation to provide wifi in the actual room you booked. Really unbelievable, and it felt like a deceptive listing. Thus, NO WIFI in the lodge you booked. POOR COMMUNICATION: the host stopped replying to my wifi issue, leaving me to troubleshoot my devices all night, and gave no eta of fix, and I ended up wasting hours due to their poor communication. Even as I was about to check out, it was still not fixed. They deflected and made excuses the entire trip. It was very unpleasant and difficult. I had to rearrange all of my plans for the weekend due to their lack of communication. I tried to meet them halfway and went to "the lodge" (the main lodge), but the wifi didn't work there either. I provided proof many times (as best I could with spotty service) but received no helpful solutions. (And before they reply about me not going to the entirely separate bulding, I did, theres many bars but no internet still (pic attached). BOOKING PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE FEES. (They demand it upon arrival). Their listing looked cheaper than everywhere else this way, but it ended up being much more expensive. So much unprofessionalism and dishonesty. Also, it's not in their listing but entrances require stairs, are not disability accessible, and the front desk and cabin requires stairs. They also get extremely slippery. I'm not leaving this review to be mean, it's genuinely concerning that they'd try to run their lodging like this. It's really not acceptable, and I hope that they take another one of these reviews as constructive criticism and take some semblance of responsibility. I hope people know that there are better options in the area. As for the creepy cameras, I'll attach pictures, but they turn on every time you exit the door of your room. It's hard to believe that this is after the fix. It's still super creepy. The camera is obscured when you open the door of the cabin at that angle, but fully picks you going in and out of your cabin every time,) and is pointed directly at the bathroom. I'm really not a fan of a dude watching me every time I make my way out of my room to the bathroom. The listing made it sound like they were normal security cameras, and I was stupid enough to give the benefit of the doubt. Nope. It would have been more relaxing to stay home. Honestly. I wish I stayed home. If you're like me, you're going to be stuck without connection in the middle of nowhere trying to ask airb to get you a different place, (but no wifi lol) and driving in and out of town and having all of your vacation plans ruined. Absolute Nightmare.

Value was fair. We paid $828 for two nights in the Indian Summer Suite ($918 with tax). For this the missus and I got a private bedroom with a queen bed, and our children each got their own beds in the kitchen/living area. The single bathroom and shower stall was adequate for our needs and we had a parking spot underneath the unit. Caroline, who has owned and operated the B&B for 8 years, was consistently communicative, warm and helpful. She baked cookies for us both evenings, and served us healthy and filling breakfasts. She also offered good advice on where to go for dinner and sightseeing. Bonus: the grounds are captivating, with deer and a fish pond on the premises. We would be happy to return.

We loved how comfortable the bed was and Caroline gave us some awesome recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to check out. We still have a bunch of things to check out at the park and we will definitely stay here again.

I can't say it enough, this is one inn you dont want to skip if you're even on the Olympic Peninsula. and wonderful staff will have you feeling like a VIP. The common area is beautifully and stylishly furnished. They will supply you with clean, warm blankets to snuggle up to as you sit by the fire pit for Happy hour, which takes place every afternoon. The breakfasts are very tasty, and it's clear that great pride goes into their preparation and presentation! And might I say the garden area overlooking the sea is a slice of paradise. The grounds are lush and private enough that you're not running into other guests very often. The hubby and I loved the Lavender suite, which has a great view of the garden and sea. The bath was spacious and upscale as well. If you need ideas and suggestions for how to explore Olympic National Park, just ask. You won't be disappointed with the recommendations you receive. Yes, you will pay more than you might at a local hotel. But the experience here at Colette's makes it worth every penny. Don't ever change!

Would have gotten 5 stars except for the following; 1. Each time you come or go you have to get out of your car and manually open/close the gate. For what they charge for rooms they should have an electric gate and give people the code. 2. Breakfast is only served at 9AM, and often you want to get out early to beat the crowds to hiking/scenic places. 3. The ice machine has been broken for quite some time, so if you want ice later in the evening you need to hope the house manager is around. Otherwise it is a wonderful place to stay.
