    2012: newly built cabins
    Debbie B.

Sites: Most sites are pretty close together. No picnic table. Have a fire ring. The sites furthest from the office have a nice shaded area behind your RV. Hook ups: FHU (30amp) Bathrooms: did not check Laundry: Sufficient. Run down room in need of paint and some holes patched. 2 washer and 2 dryers were old, but worked fine. Table for folding. $1.50 wash $1.50 dry for 45 minutes Pets: Pet friendly. No rules for pets. A few dogs off leash and wondering the park. Left my dogs alone. WiFi: Yes, free, but pretty slow. Verizon Internet: Average Sprint Internet: No service Verizon cell: Worked fine. AT&T cell: No service Book Exchange: Small book exchange in laundry. Activities: Nothing planned. But marina across the street for lots of Salmon fishing. Mail delivery accepted: Yes Area/Town/Sights: Cape Flattery is the most NW point of the continental US. Makah Museum. Fishing. Since there is not much choice, this is one of the better campgrounds. There are also some really nice cabins newly built. They were 85% full the whole week we were here.

Stayed here last March. They were super friendly and told us where to visit in the area. The cabin was completely new and clean. It was almost a tiny house! Although freezing and rainy when we arrived, the heater had us warm and dry in no time. Highly recommend this place! Hint: the internet is lousy (but that's not why you're there), but reception was better near the office.

I've been wanting to see Cape Flattery and the Tatoosh Island Lighthouse for several years…read more  This summer, that's what my family and I finally did. We booked 3 cottages at Chito Beach Resort in Sekiu, Washington. My brother and his wife stayed in The Birdhouse (whose deck officially became our favorite hangout spot) We spent many memorable hours there, enjoying the ever changing views of the sea, wildlife, and spectacular sunsets. My sister stayed in The Wolf Den. I stayed in the cottage adjacent to hers, The Lighthouse.  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Lighthouse Cottage. The bed was soooo comfy. Water pressure was great. So much attention was paid to every charming little detail. Nothing was overlooked.  And that view!  On Saturday night the owners, Tamara and Matt had a little get together around the bonfire with all of the guests at Chito Beach. (There are a total of 6 cottages) They were wonderful and gracious hosts who served us beverages and DELICIOUS appetizers. They made us feel very welcome there.  After I got back home, I sorted through the MANY photos that I'd taken, and decided which ones to post on Facebook.  As gorgeous as some of them are, I think some of the pictures of the sunsets at Chito Beach are even more stunning than my photos of the Cape.  Especially on our last night there. Truly magical and almost otherworldly Our time there was an experience that our family will treasure forever.

Pretty magical place here, at The Edge. So much to do: from a short hike on the Makah Reservation…read moreto Cape Flattery, to longer hikes in Hoh rainforest, and an amazing nine-mile loop to some pictographs near Cape Alava. No shortage of things to do . . . among my favorites here is simply sitting in a chair by the window, just watching it all go by. My recent winter stay was a very dynamic time. Located at the confluence of the Pacific Ocean and the Straits of Juan de Fuca, winter weather - which in a my nine-to-five life - is something to dread, was instead one of The Stars of my stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The innkeepers were very knowledgeable about the area and suggested several things I wasn't aware of. I only gave it five stars because six wasn't an option.

Our family always enjoys our stays here, highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!
