    Cabins near the beach
    Dorothy G.

Loved the cabin we rented in the south RV park and cabins. Very quiet place on the beach. Amazing star gazing. 1 bedroom, living area, full kitchen and nice bathroom. Excellent wifi. A little hard to find the first time. Stop at Register Here hut on the gravel road. They will check you in and show you how to find your cabin. I plan to return.

This was the view from the deck of Cabin 24. Stunning!

We booked cabins 22, 23, and 24 for a group of us coming from Seattle area. Apparently while we were driving the power went out in the entire county. They were very accommodating and tried to warn us but we didn't have much cell service driving along the coast. But when we showed up they also gave us lots of extra blankets and lanterns and batteries in case the power was out for the whole night. It came back on a few hours later! I was staying in a cabin with my four small kids and loved the bunk beds, pull-out couch, and queen size bed (which was surprisingly comfortable!). The cabins were very clean and nice, and you can't beat the views! I sat on the patio with a cup of coffee (which was provided in the cabin) and watched the sun come up and listened to the waves crash. No matter in the rain or sun, this is an incredible place that we will definitely be booking again! Somethings to note (at least about south cabins 22-26): -No wifi, but with Verizon I had full bars, and they have Direct TV -The kitchens have no oven, but 2 electric coils and a microwave, as well as pots and pans. A coffee maker is in each cabin WITH coffee grounds. -The staff is fantastic; if you need anything additional, just ask! -The cabins each have a game (ours had scrabble) which was so fun to play in the rain when the power was out! -When looking at hotels/motels/Airbnbs in the area, these cabins were by far the cheapest option, while also have SO MUCH MORE to offer than other locations. -If you're coming from the east through Port Angeles, be sure to take 112/113 out of town. It's a little bit of a slower drive with some switchback turns, but the views are stellar!

No outlined campsites, you can camp anywhere in the area pretty much!

Camped: Saturday 2/18/17 1 night Cost: $20/night + $10 for an annual pass for being on the Indian Reservation Pet Friendly When we drove into the area we actually stopped by Cape Resort first cuz they have spots to tent camp, and also cabins and bunkhouses. But that location was kinda weird, the spots to camp were in the back of trailers and it was kinda located in town, we were looking for something more nature-y. Anyways, Hobuck Beach Resort is the sister site to them, so we drove over to Hobuck to check it out. Both places, tent sites are walk up at this time of year, not sure how summer/peak season works. We immediately knew we liked Hobuck way better! Tent camping is pretty much this huge grass area and the beach is right there to walk to with some cabins located north of the property. You can't camp directly on the beach, but you can camp pretty dang close to it! We chose a spot that was a bit more wooded but was right next to the beach. Seems like a surfer spot here. Bathrooms: there are port-a-potties scattered through the camp area, but there's also a nicer flush toilet + free shower near the cabins for tent campers to use! I thought it was decently clean. We only stayed one night. About 5 mile drive to Cape Flattery. Also close to Shi Shi Beach Trail. I can imagine it getting busy here during the summer months. The only annoying thing we encountered were these 2 dogs that were off leash. We had two dogs ourselves, and these two dogs kept coming to our site and bothering us for hours! Didn't see their owners once. Watch your dogs people and know where they are at all times! They aren't other people's responsibility!

    Fire. Good.

Quiet campground/cabins that are all pretty spread out and about 75 yards from the beach/ocean. Very cool owners that will work w/you if you arrive late/leave early and need to pay later. Highly recommended if you find yourself out in this corner of the U.S. of A.

My two sister's and I stayed in cabin 20. Beach front and very clean & we will definitely be back next year. Although this cabin was larger for only 3 people it was nice to each have a queen bed & loft space. Near so many sites Shi Shi Trail, Cape Flattery, Ozette, Ruby Beach etc... My only regret was not staying longer.

Location: 4 (write next to the AWESOME beach, but some campers and rvs write outside) Cabin: 3.5 (great little spot, small, but all we needed. However, the stove was not cleaned well and caught on fire, thus we could barely cook. Great shower though) Experience: 4.5 (Awesome easy access to Honecker, Shi Shi, and cape flattery, fun time I. The cabins) We stayed there a few weeks ago during busy summer season, but found the beach to be quite uncrowded.

    Loving RV life at Hobuck

No silverware or plates. I was surprised they included shampoo, soap, and lotion. Although the lotion looked used. At $115 a night they should be able to replace those bottles with new ones every time even if they don't look used. Another issue was when we got to our cabin the smoke alarm was beeping because the battery was dead, and the carbon monoxide detector was missing its' batteries!! They were able to fix both of them, but I would have never known the carbon monoxide detector wasn't on if I hadn't thought that maybe that was the one going off because of a low battery! Also the Wi-Fi didn't reach all the way to our cabin so don't count on it working for you. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. I would consider staying here again, although I may stay at the other campground next time their cabins have a better view and nicer location. We ended up paying $150 for one night here: $115 for cabin, $25 for dog fee, and $10 for mandatory Native American reservation parking pass (parking pass is good for one year)

We booked 3 cottages at Chito Beach Resort in Sekiu, Washington. My brother and his wife stayed in The Birdhouse (whose deck officially became our favorite hangout spot) We spent many memorable hours there, enjoying the ever changing views of the sea, wildlife, and spectacular sunsets. My sister stayed in The Wolf Den. I stayed in the cottage adjacent to hers, The Lighthouse.  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Lighthouse Cottage. The bed was soooo comfy. Water pressure was great. So much attention was paid to every charming little detail. Nothing was overlooked.  And that view!  On Saturday night the owners, Tamara and Matt had a little get together around the bonfire with all of the guests at Chito Beach. (There are a total of 6 cottages) They were wonderful and gracious hosts who served us beverages and DELICIOUS appetizers. They made us feel very welcome there.  After I got back home, I sorted through the MANY photos that I'd taken, and decided which ones to post on Facebook.  As gorgeous as some of them are, I think some of the pictures of the sunsets at Chito Beach are even more stunning than my photos of the Cape.  Especially on our last night there. Truly magical and almost otherworldly Our time there was an experience that our family will treasure forever.

We got here around the afternoon and were able to check in to the room and then walk around the area to explore. It was a little chilly but bearable. I didn't realize early June would still feel a little cold, but alas, we were up north amongst the misty emerald green forest so I imagine it's expected. The lodge is close to several hiking trails, a creek that flows out to the lake and from the restaurant lodge and patio, a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. When dinner came around we were pretty famished. I decided to try their copper river salmon entree and my boyfriend got the mac and cheese. Aunt Carol got the sliders and we all shared the lovely dessert . As soon as our waiter told us their pastry chef had an Ube cheesecake, we had to try it! Everything was delicious. Especially being that they are pretty far from most places, the dinner was quite creative and impressive. The Ube cheesecake was served with blackberries and it was more of a light fluffy cheesecake than a rich and heavy cheesecake. The Berry crumble was crunchy and tart. I got to have a bite of the mac and cheese and it was warm and tasty. We left happy and satisfied with our meals ready to relax in our room. The room was simple and comfortable. The only thing missing was a top sheet on one of the queen beds but it was quickly remedied. Our room was a short walk from a parking lot and a short distance to walk along the lake too. I love that there was a back door to the room with chairs outside to enjoy the area. Check in and check out was easy. The staff were helpful and happy to answer any questions we had about the stay, hiking trails, and anything else. The lodge itself had a welcoming and warm vibe with comfy leather chairs and a game of chess at the ready. We truly enjoyed our stay here and hope to stop here again if our adventure takes us this way. We headed back home extra thankful Aunt Carol thought to book this place.
