We booked cabins 22, 23, and 24 for a group of us coming from Seattle area. Apparently while we were driving the power went out in the entire county. They were very accommodating and tried to warn us but we didn't have much cell service driving along the coast. But when we showed up they also gave us lots of extra blankets and lanterns and batteries in case the power was out for the whole night. It came back on a few hours later! I was staying in a cabin with my four small kids and loved the bunk beds, pull-out couch, and queen size bed (which was surprisingly comfortable!). The cabins were very clean and nice, and you can't beat the views! I sat on the patio with a cup of coffee (which was provided in the cabin) and watched the sun come up and listened to the waves crash. No matter in the rain or sun, this is an incredible place that we will definitely be booking again! Somethings to note (at least about south cabins 22-26): -No wifi, but with Verizon I had full bars, and they have Direct TV -The kitchens have no oven, but 2 electric coils and a microwave, as well as pots and pans. A coffee maker is in each cabin WITH coffee grounds. -The staff is fantastic; if you need anything additional, just ask! -The cabins each have a game (ours had scrabble) which was so fun to play in the rain when the power was out! -When looking at hotels/motels/Airbnbs in the area, these cabins were by far the cheapest option, while also have SO MUCH MORE to offer than other locations. -If you're coming from the east through Port Angeles, be sure to take 112/113 out of town. It's a little bit of a slower drive with some switchback turns, but the views are stellar! read more

We rented a spot in the "campground" for one night. It turned out to be a open field where you just had to find a space to park your RV or pitch your tent. There were no designated sites, so it felt like a refugee camp. The dumpsters were overflowing with trash. While there was a washroom, frankly the porta-potties were cleaner. When we woke up the next morning, we didn't even make breakfast. We just packed up and got out of Dodge. I would never stay here again. read more

Camped: Saturday 2/18/17 1 night Cost: $20/night + $10 for an annual pass for being on the Indian Reservation Pet Friendly When we drove into the area we actually stopped by Cape Resort first cuz they have spots to tent camp, and also cabins and bunkhouses. But that location was kinda weird, the spots to camp were in the back of trailers and it was kinda located in town, we were looking for something more nature-y. Anyways, Hobuck Beach Resort is the sister site to them, so we drove over to Hobuck to check it out. Both places, tent sites are walk up at this time of year, not sure how summer/peak season works. We immediately knew we liked Hobuck way better! Tent camping is pretty much this huge grass area and the beach is right there to walk to with some cabins located north of the property. You can't camp directly on the beach, but you can camp pretty dang close to it! We chose a spot that was a bit more wooded but was right next to the beach. Seems like a surfer spot here. Bathrooms: there are port-a-potties scattered through the camp area, but there's also a nicer flush toilet + free shower near the cabins for tent campers to use! I thought it was decently clean. We only stayed one night. About 5 mile drive to Cape Flattery. Also close to Shi Shi Beach Trail. I can imagine it getting busy here during the summer months. The only annoying thing we encountered were these 2 dogs that were off leash. We had two dogs ourselves, and these two dogs kept coming to our site and bothering us for hours! Didn't see their owners once. Watch your dogs people and know where they are at all times! They aren't other people's responsibility! read more

We stayed the night in a cabin near the shoreline. The cabin was completely clean and cozy.

The Hobuck Beach resort is a combination of cabins and camping (tent mostly) located in one of the nicest places I know of. The location is certainly five stars. Absolutely beautiful. It's a special place. The cabins are nicer than expected. Mine had a kitchenette, satellite tv, and a comfortable bed. The bathrooms are a little marginal but they did serve their intended purpose. The staff at this place is beyond lazy. They must contract out the cleaning of the cabins because the people who tacitly make sure you pay to camp etc.won't leave their little shack for any reason except to leave for the day. I suspect you could not burn them out. When we were there, a band of hippies was also staying there. Even though their kayaking selves are annoying just by their presence they didn't have a drug circle or a prayer circle or anything so they were pretty tolerable. This is probably the best place in the area to stay. Even though the service is bad, bad service has been typical in Neah Bay during my trips there. read more

Although this cabin was larger for only 3 people it was nice to each have a queen bed & loft space. Near so many sites Shi Shi Trail, Cape Flattery, Ozette, Ruby Beach etc... Nothing fancy but clean, right on the sand and no wifi. Tide pools at the sea stacks. Its lonely and you want to bring your food in from port angeles bc the restaurants in neah bay were not good. But what an awesome place to spend some time. If I come back, Ill stay several days and return to the loft cabin -- plenty of room for 6. I'm wondering if I was at the same place as the other reviewers??? Where do I start? Okay, the good first. It's a nice location ever though it was foggy the time I was there. At least it didn't rain. They do have plenty of room also for tents and camp trailers and it's first come with no reservations I was told. Now the bad: I ask the condition of the restrooms before I gave the gal my money for the campsite and she said the restrooms were clean and well maintained. They have sanicans and I have nothing against those as long as they are clean and maintained. They were half way there. They did seem to be clean, but were so full I was worried I would get crap on my backside if I sat down. Also TP is not provided even though a holder was there. It looks like people were using them for garbage cans since we could not find a single garbage can on the site. I saw grocery bags in the piles of crap in the sanicans. We also found garbage in the bushes and trees since it seems people had no place else to put it. Campfires are pretty much unregulated so everyone had fires that were not in pits or even had anything between them and the dry grass that was everywhere. I was sure someone would catch the dry grass on fire and it would sweep across this place and catch every vehicle there on fire. The people behind us decided they would burn their garbage and at one point it smelled like they were putting used diapers on the fire. It almost made me sick before the wind charged to take that odar some place else. Also one more thing; someone mentioned bringing your dogs here and that seems to be okay since I counted 3 piles of dog crap between our campsite and the restrooms. I'm not sure what constitutes a "RESORT" but this was not my definition of one. I've camped in primitive places that were nicer. They need to invest some of the money they make back into this place and have someone pump the sanicans out and add some fire pits and garbage cans. A couple rules about not burning garbage would also be nice. Then I could give it something besides a 1 star. read more

We stayed here on memorial day weekend 2019. There were four adults. We stayed in cabin number 18. It was too small for four adults, but the managers created a fire pit for us and the view was spectacular. If I were to go again with this other couple I would make sure that I got cabins 19 to 21 which are a little bit larger and might have more room for four adults. Or I would take two of the cabins. Previous few reviews were right on track by saying that you need to bring your own extra cups, silverware, towels and hangers. Besides that it was a comfortable, modern and clean little cabin. read more

The Hobuck Beach Resort offers some camping "anarchy" super close to the beach in the Makah Indian Reservation. Get your recreational use permit and pay for your stay + firewood and you're good to go out and explore some nature all without cellphone or wifi connection! Being offline never felt better! This is a hot spot for surfers, no matter what the weather brings up, they will be on the water! Cape Flattery is a gorgeous place of this fantastic earth and you shouldn't waste any more minutes: go out there, explore the nature and enjoy some wildlife up close! The camping site is basically a big grass field with some facilities. Come here, grab a spot (wherever you like!), say hi to the surfer boys and enjoy some fantastic sunsets. Or sit close to your campfire (wherever you like) and enjoy the drizzle and the fog that erases out of the woods and the ocean. Be aware that this is no high polished super clean and awesomely flawless deluxe campsite. Be prepared to have fun and be flexible! read more

It's quite a drive to get out here from Seattle, but once you're there Hobuck is a fantastic spot to camp for the weekend. This is a surfing community... not the in the bad way, but in the old mellow surfing guy kind of way. People are all just really nice and respectful of one another. We love that the area is entirely grass, so you don't have to worry about the kids getting covered in dirt all day long and you can walk around barefoot. The beach is less than a one minute walk away and is safe for kids 7+ to play in the waves and boogie board. Another thing are the two great hikes nearby: Cape Flattery and Shi Shi Beach. Don't miss those if you haven't made the trek. Both are pretty easy hikes. The food in town isn't fantastic, so bring your own grub, but if you need to eat out head to Pats for indian fry bread tacos. Oh, and bring toilet paper!!! Bring extra toilet paper, too! read more

I've stayed at Hobuck Beach Resort twice now - once in an ocean view cabin, once in a regular cabin - and I found it to be delightful. I've already made another reservation for later this year. It's a calming place, off the grid (no internet, which is a blessing and a curse). Things I forgot - they provide a coffee pot, but no filters. They provide a full kitchen with limited counter space, but there was a full sized table in both cabins which made up for the lack of counter space. I didn't interact with the staff much (I tend to stick to myself), but when I did they were kind and helpful. read more

I haven't stayed at many RV parks as I usually prefer the backcountry experience. However, we're towing a small 13' camper and wanted a rustic seaside experience. The trip out to the Makah Reservation coast is well worth the drive! The RV part of Hobuck Campground is quiet and calm with amazing ocean views (not as full as the tent camping and Olympic Natl Park campgrounds) The tiny home-type cabins look new and go well with the scenery. There's electric and water and nearby a little bathroom with a shower provided too! Friendly staff and perfectly restful place. read more

This place is great. We have dogs so we stay at the cabins that allow pets. They are small (perfect for 2 or 3 people) but clean and well equipped (there is even a crockpot). The location is phenomenal - the beach is a 2 minute walk from your front door. My ONLY complaint are the beds- they are incredibly uncomfortable. It's like they took a pull-out sofa mattress, drove over it a few times, sewed some metal into the middle and put in on a box-spring. But you should go because the horrible bed is worth it read more

We've been going to Hobuck Beach for several years with some friends from Seattle. We love it - we've camped and used cabins there, and while the cabins are certainly small, they are well-maintained, and this place has some of the best customer service for reservations I've ever run across. To wit, today I made a reservation for a cabin over our regular weekend, but accidentally set it for four nights instead of three. I called and left a message and within an hour, I got an email that my reservation had been revised along with a followup email from Hobuck Beach letting me know of the change. It was so fast and easy that I was just overwhelmed - I hate making mistakes (especially $150 mistakes) and to have them clear it up so fast was really great. I can't wait to meet my friends there - the cabins are 75 yards from the beach, and our friends camp even closer! The campground bathrooms and showers are rustic, but I think it's lovely that they even provide showers for the campground visitors - and that whole camping field always fills up over Labor Day weekend with a whole bunch of surfing-friendly folks and families - it's a great place to just go relax on the beach, and I can't recommend them enough :-) read more

We stay here every year for my birthday; I must say I absolutely love it here. We usually stay in the pet friendly cabins, but this year we stayed in the ocean front cabins. While the other cabins are wonderful; it was way cooler to wake up and look at the ocean. The cabins are clean and very private, we walked for miles on the beach and didn't come in contact with another person. We love it here for that reason; there is no one around, we just get to enjoy each other's company and enjoy the silence. My favorite thing ever is to enjoy my morning coffee with my guy while listening to the ocean on the deck. So far that goal has been accomplished every year we have stayed here. Had a great time here. Camped there overnight in my car and was surrounded by a few others which made it comfortable since it was pitch dark. There are some nice views here, access to good trails including the shishi beach trail and there are a few good things in the area. If you plan to arrive here when offices are closed or real late at night, be sure to bring cash with you for the permits you'll need since most things will be closed. You should also make a reservation in advance if possible. read more

Our cabin was dirty unfortunately. It looked like they hardly swept, definitely didn't mop and our toilet was dirty. We did not have coffee filters to make coffee either. We enjoyed our time there but can't say we would pay $400 for two days again. Over priced for not even getting a clean cabin. read more

The cabin had been freshly remodeled with modern furniture and a clean aesthetic. Came with all of the basic cooking utensils and pans that one would require. The cleanliness was impeccable. The resort manager who helped us with the booking of our cabin was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. This is a hidden gem that my family and I plan to continue using for years to come. We have stayed at Hobuck for three years now every weekend from July-September. We tent camp. It is a giant field that if you can find a spot you can camp. It has gotten more crowded this year with one of the big fishing camp grounds closing you now get a mix of fisherman and water people just enjoying the beach. They have a lot of people that don't know camping etiquette that stay here. For example letting a group of girls shower together for 40 minutes and take up all the hot water happens regularly. Coin showers would be an easy fix. This is not your home and everyone taking long showers gets annoying. The new bathroom they are digging a septic tank should help that. The part about the camp ground that is just horrible is the dogs. Or really the lack of enforcement of any rules. You usually get some bozo shooting off fire works at midnight that wake up your kids. Back to the dogs. Be prepared. They have close to 50 dogs running around off leash in the campground. The beach is one thing, but the campground? Some of them are pits, and frankly a liability for a lawsuit because at this point it is just a matter of time before they bite a guest. The dogs are so bad we are thinking about not coming back. We saw them take someone's fresh caught salmon they had smoking over the camp fire. We had one two weeks ago lift it's leg on our chair and my husbands shirt and shoes. We have them constantly coming into our site and seeing our dog who has anxiety and did not enjoy it. We also witnessed the dogs take shits in others camp grounds and knock offer people's tables. It is getting really bad. Hoping the owners fix this and post signs and ask the police when they drive through to tell people to put the dogs on a leash. It could end up taking down the entire business when someone's kid gets bit. Which would be really sad as we love that place. read more

This was such an amazing camping spot. It was quite the drive but it has some seriously nice camping facilities. There are showers and electricity areas even. The ground is relatively flat. We went to Hobuck in december, so the rainy atmosphere didn't contribute to setting. The cabins were very minimal and because we were with 4 we had to sleep on a sofa bed. At least we tried to sleep. The quality of the bed is really rely terrible! Unbelievable that a location lets their guests stay on a bed like this. read more

As so many have said, the ocean views make up for the shortcomings of HBR. Here is a summary of the shortcomings without prioritizatiomy family experienced: To access a full hookup only half of the 10 RV sites face the ocean. To get a site it is necessary to drive a mile and go back to the office once you pick a site and have to drive back to your site. The road into the RV sites is a terrible washboard. There was no visible staff on site. There was a 5 hour interruption in electrical service. The Wi-fi worked erratically. HBR has a "sister" facility, Cape Resort, in downtown Neah Bay which has a staff that also answers calls for HBR. When we checked in we were told we were at the wrong place. In making a registration there was nothing mentioned which prepared us for this type of mixup omore trips back and forth on the washboard road. Perhaps the worst part was it was so cloudy that we were denied even a sunset. But the potential for great ocean views was there. We were disappointed when local families had a big loud party next to us. The drumming, laughter and noise lasted until the early morning hours. Some courtesy should be essential due to the closeness of the RV sites. Unfortunately this did not happen. read more

I spent a week at Hobuck to work intensively on a project. It is a great place to get away from the rest of the world, with stunning scenery. It was full on weekends (off-season) but near empty on weekdays. The little cabin was perfect with a full kitchen. We were in the loft units that are right on the beach (there are three of them), I love the design, Nice sitting area and three good sized beds (two in loft and one in separate bedroom) they even have a good sized covered porch. read more

What a surprise to discover this marvelous beach resort with RV parking just steps away. We hadn't intended to stay two nights, but did because it was clean, beautiful, quiet, and close to great hikes like Cape Flattery and Shi Shi Beach. I would give it 5 stars, but there is only a single men's and women's toilet and shower for all the RVs. That did not present a problem for us, but I would imagine during the summer it might be more challenging. The staff was very helpful and friendly. read more

The campground is awful: you can stay everywhere, but everybody can stay everywhere as well.... even in 10feets. A pretty dirtily, there are only 4 showers and 2 water spot. So in the morning and evening it is a big problem to take shower. The plastic toilets is also very dirty. There are only few tables and fireplaces for more than 100 tents. So, i would not recommend this *resort*! read more
