I've been coming to this shop since I've moved to Riverside. I love this shop I know I'm going to come in and be greeted right was by JR and he's going to tell me to sit down and bring me the book of nail colors lol. The atmosphere is so chill and relaxing here. The technicians are always kind and respectful. I also love that there is always ocean views, beaches and far away places being played on the screen because for just an hour I get to relax in peace. My favorite tech is Henry he gives THEE BEST foot massage and he's chill. 10/10 would recommend over and over again. I gave this place 3 stars because my gel nail polish started chipping after two days. I was on vacation, so I couldn't make it back for them to fix. I've never had gel chip so quickly. This will be my last update, since I'm sure you can see where this is headed. Day 7 and 3 nails popped off. 1 while washing my hair, another while folding a blanket. My $5 press ons last double the time. I've honestly never been so disappointed in a manicure. My pedicure is kind of lasting. I can tell one is beginning to peel. Keep in mind I am on bed rest. So I am NOT doing much moving around at all. Maybe this was a one off time? I have another nail appointment tomorrow to completely redo the same set elsewhere. I'm still keeping 2 stars because the ladies were truly very nice. I called in the am, was able to make an early afternoon appointment, came in didn't have to wait. I had top notch customer service from beginning to end. Jay did my pedi & was gentle & attentive. He asked me how i wanted my nail shape before cutting, the entire pedicure was super relaxing, my feet felt so good, & looked amazing. For my nails, my tech was Chao( pronounced like Ciao ), I have always had powder dip but she recommended hard gel, so i gave it a try. Chao got down! My nails are absolutely perfect! I normally don't write negative reviews, but I had a really disappointing experience after being a loyal customer here for several months. I came in for a Gel X full set, which I've always gotten, and had Julie as my tech for the first time. Within a day, my nails started falling off--normally they last me 2-3 weeks. I went back not once, but three times to get them fixed, and even asked the staff to check the rest because it looks unprofessional when nails are just popping off. Instead, I was told that my nails were "too flat" and that I should switch to acrylic next time. I ended up going to another salon after more nails came off, and even they commented on how poorly the set was done. To make matters worse, Butterfly Nails tried to blame me instead of taking responsibility for the bad work. The only techs who have ever done a great Gel X set here are Monica and T. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning. Two stars for Monica and T. Or I would rate it 0 stars. read more

I've been here a few times. first visit, got a gel x set. she did a soak off, and gel designs on each nail and it came out to $70. tell me why I came back & got another (way less intricate) set a month later and paid $90 (different nail tech). this is a basic pink gel x with only 2 "designs" which were poorly drawn hearts. he rushed, cut me multiple times and did NOT use freshly sealed tools, new drill bits, new nail file etc. to top it all off he filed my thumb nail extremely crooked, it's comical lol. I don't see how a matter of a month a place can go so downhill. I have since found a home-based nail tech and it's been AMAZING! clean, new tools for each customer, and so much more affordable. def recommend not wasting your money here! read more
