We moved to Ridgecrest 5 days ago and have been to Walmart 3-4 times already because they have so many of the items we need for ourselves or our pets. Walmart's shelves are never as "zoned" as I'd like them to be but with how many items they sell, maybe that's asking for the impossible. Our favorite cashier is Candy (blue specs and lovely attitude). She has made us feel welcomed each time. I think this may be the nicest Walmart I have ever experienced.

They're not specific to any particular nationality as I was seeing implements for making Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean food. Most things were canned, but there was fresh produce in the back, fish and meat in the freezers, and the occasional pieces of statuary or vases that were for sale. Seems like a nice, family-owned market carrying Asian comfort foods you can find at the Albertson's or Stater Brothers along China Lake.

They will help you find things and will even set aside items for you if you ask. It is always clean and people are always stocking the shelves. Checking out is easy and unlike other commissaries the checkers are nice and don't make you feel like you're bothering them. It is the only thing I will miss about this place when we move.
