Our friends brought us here because they really love this place! It's a really small spot, it has unique Asian items for sale and you can order either a beef plate, pork plate, chicken plate, or a mix. The plate comes with rice, kimchi, and bean sprouts. It's all made to order so it can be a wait. It took about 30 minutes for 8 plates which isn't bad. The lady working there is super friendly. I got a chicken and beef mix. The beef is subtly sweet but very flavorful. The chicken is juicy. Pork is fatty and most in our group said it was their favorite. This place is a hidden gem! If you love amazing Korean barbecue and delicious kimchi, you have to try it. You can choose from chicken, pork, or beef--I went with the beef, and it was so good! The sweetest little old lady runs the place, and she's so kind. I was camping at Red Rock State Park, about 30 minutes away, and found it by chance. Now, I plan my camping trips just so I can come back here. It's that good! If you're near Ridgecrest, you have to check this place out. It's a must! read more

We stopped here based on location and yelp reviews. Never heard of it before. It is a ...well a kind of run down tiny market and very limited menu, apparently both the product of the Korean woman running the place. Long story short: her food was excellent! If you like more spice (careful!) she can do that with some dishes. We ate at one of the tables next to the market. If you don't like rustic then go somewhere else. Thus us bare bones. You pay for the food, not fancy furniture. read more

The food here was fabulous! We did the bbq pork and beef and it did not disappoint! The portions are very generous and the flavors were great! The kimchi was awesome too I even picked up a jar of kimchi to take home! The owner is a really sweet, she said she opened in 2003 and has been there since. Been looking for a really good Asian restaurant and so far this one takes it by a long shot. It's a really friendly environment at first in thought it was a Asian market and I see that they also sell Korean bbq. Hands down the best Korean bbq I have had so far from the chicken to the bugolgi and if you are a spice chaser like you love really spicy food she can also then meat choice(s) spicy I asked if she has something spicy and she pulled out a jar of hot sauce that she can add to the meat and let me tel you that is some really good and scorching hot sauce she has. Ya'll thiiiiis place is bomb!!!! So delicious! It's a hidden secret. Been about 10 years since I came back to ridgecrest and it's the same lady who owned it then. She makes some of the most Tender Korean beef. She places it over a bed of rice, offers you fresh Kimchi. All cost me less than $10. Go try this place. It's so good. Stop giving your money to the main strip of restaurants for once and give this lady a shot. She takes cash and credit cards, also has a small store for with food and things for sale. I'll probably go back and buy my fish sauce from her. Update on menu: Combination plates Spicy bean sprouts beef (bulgogi), spicy pork, and chicken. But she'll take requests with enough notice. Always has fresh kimchi... the kimchi varies but cabbage and radish are staples. Or if you walk in and she's making something, she'll usually offer it. So everyday is a surprise. read more

I thought Korean markets in Michigan were tiny...BOY WAS I WRONG! This market is the size of McDonald's kids play structure...maybe even smaller. This store is right next to Bangkok House on Inyokern Rd. and has pretty limited hours. I believe it's Monday through Friday from 12-5? I could be wrong... My cousin and I stopped by the KM during the summer and walked through the whole shop in a minute of so. It's nice because you really can get more Korean items here, than at the supermarkets around or at the Orient Outlet. The only thing I found weird was that nothing was priced. So you really don't know what your total is going to be until the lady rings you up. Yes, you could just ask but can be annoying. The owner was nice and pretty chatty. You could tell she enjoys what she does. Shoot, if you can have your girlfriends come out while you work, eat, and have some laughs life can't get better than that! read more

BRUHHHHH. I've been telling people there's no really good food out here and this place has made me a liar. I have no idea if there's a menu here. I asked for food and the lady who runs the place went to the back, cooked up the most tender pork I've had in months with the perfect amount of spice for me and a ton of rice and told me to go get a soda. The food was absolutely delicious. The visit felt like going to your auntie's house. I'm so pleased and I will definitely be back soon! read more

Extremely nice lady owns this establishment, which is about a 15'x15' room filled to the ceiling with mostly Korean and Japanese dry goods, frozen foods, beverages, sauces, Korean blankets, and some kitchenware. Also serving ready made lunches and dinners consisting of rice, grilled beef, and side dish. Fresh made (and appropriately aged) kimchi is behind the counter, and you can ask for a small plastic cup of it, to large jars. I go for the fresh stuff, it's absolutely awesome. Very well executed, not too spicy if you're afraid of glowing red kimchi. I'm glad this place is here, since I am Korean-American, and I have lived in Japan for years. Prices are reasonable. First time I came in, I was invited to sit down and have a cup of coffee with the owner, that's how nice she is. read more

I went here as I was driving through this town early last year because the reviews looked good. It did not disappoint at ALL. Once you enter, it looks like a little market, but you can ask the lady there about her food and she'll put on her apron and get to work! It's the best Korean bbq I've had in my life. It's tender and juicy, and you can tell it's made with love. She makes her kimchi by scratch and it is by far the best, freshest kimchi I've ever had. It beats every kind of kimchi you can find at restaurants or stores. I still think about this place every day and want to make the 4 hour trip just to get it again. We were driving to Las Vegas as sundown and dinnertime loomed. A rest stop was called for. I ran a search for Asian food because all of the restaurants that we saw in Ridgecrest's CBD (central business district) were either dingy-ish franchise operations or junk food. That was simply not an option. We needed real food to last us until our next meal break. This store/eatery was about to close and we were a little nervous upon walking in. One thing that I noticed was how clean the premises were. The lady who attended us was warm and very accommodating. She was not inconvenienced at all by the last minute customers. The bancha (sort of like Korean tapas) that came with our fresh combo meal tasted out of this world. I was so surprised that a small town would have such a great market in a nondescript location. As a matter of fact, I uturned at least three times until boom, we hit Eureka! All of the aggravation was worth it when we put the tasty morsels of perfectly seasoned food into our mouths. As an added bonus, the food's temperature was just right, something very elusive. So, if you ever have to make a rest stop in Ridgecrest, this is the best place to go to. read more
