Crème Crme Brule Cheesecake
Jonaya P.

Tried this place via door dash. They had a good discount going which made the prices for the burger, fries, and cheesecake very decent. Can't complain about that! The classic burger was cool. It wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad either. It got the job done! The fries were just that.. fries. Nothing special. The crème brûlée cheesecake was cool too. I'd eat here again - but try different menu items.

Sorry for the bite, I was hungry

Looked up this place passing through town on a road trip, and I loved the name off the top. The place is small and shares a dining room with the Mediterranean restaurant, so it's pretty spacious. The menu is very limited, which I wish they had more options, but I opted for the crispy chicken sandwich, and it did not disappoint. I asked for extra sauce just because I'm a sauce queen, and they were super cool about it. It was so good and so filling I saved half for later.

Avocado toast sunny side up egg.
Sarah M.

Ordered avocado toast. No one else was in there, took 15 minutes and the sunny side up egg must have been cooking the entire 15 minutes. It was completely rubbery and not even close to runny. As for service and ambiance: you order yourself and the tv rattles the wall and makes annoying noise. I wouldn't mind those if they hadn't given me way overcooked order. There is NO WAY they couldn't have seen how overcooked it was. So I figured there's no point in complaining, I tossed it and left.

Be Very Careful when you go to this place.. I'm not saying they are scammers But they do play with the charges and items are NOT cleary priced.. no sizes no description on any additional charges. I went in today and ordered a sandwich for $10.. so tell me why when I ordered, my bill was $20.30.. hmmm So when I ordered my Sandwich, I told them I wanted a combo, (soda and fries) so I figured it was gonna be $13.99 cuz the sandwich had 2 prices 9.99/13.99.. fine. Even though it wasn't written as a "combo" Then I was asked if I wanted it, small, medium or large.. so I said medium. I figured a bigger soda and fries right? So why was it an Upgrade of $4 more to go to a medium?? That's a 50% increase of just the sandwich price.. not including the 50% increase for "making it a combo". This business reminds me of those scammy shady car dealers.. who show you a price, then the more you say "yes" to things they change the price.

Classic Burger (with bacon) combo

A most appropriately named burger joint in an industrial section just off the SR-99 on E. North Avenue that is getting rave reviews about its juicy, butter-toasted burgers and chicken sandwiches. A fresh, juicy beef patty served on a buttered toasted potato bun. This is always a terrific, winning concept especially if the beef is fresh and great quality as it is here. What is so special about swapping out the usual [white] hamburger bun with a potato bun? The potato bun has the same fluffy, airy texture as plain white hamburger buns but has a slightly sweet, potato taste to it. So, they taste wonderful when lightly toasted and buttered as they are served here. Plus, potato bread is healthier for you too because potato flour has more potassium and dietary fiber than regular flour. In actuality, the taste of a potato bun on a burger is very neutral but makes the burger feel lighter and pillow-soft. This makes the burgers extra special and even more appealing I think. The Chipotle Burger, $9.88, is made with house sauce, grilled onions, cheese, and jalapeno peppers. There was just enough heat from the peppers and that classic combination of cheese and jalapenos always goes together so well with meat. But my favorite is the Classic Burger, $9.88, which is made with house sauce, cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. I added some bacon to mine. I love a great no-frills bacon cheeseburger. I thought the beef patty was well-seasoned although a tad salty. The meat was so fresh and juicy, however, and I would come back time and again for the Classic Burger. The prices for the burgers alone are around $10, which is extremely reasonable nowadays for what you are getting. They also serve chicken sandwiches on potato buns and classic sandwiches on ciabatta rolls, in addition to a breakfast menu that consists of breakfast bagels, muffins, burritos, and avocado toast. The fries are shoestring style, well-seasoned, and fried extra crispy. Only the freshest quality ingredients are used and everything is made to order so expect to tack on a few extra minutes to your wait from what you would expect from a typical fast-food burger place where many of the menu items are pre-made. For take-out orders, they will pack it in an eco-friendly bagasse blend take-out container to keep the burger or sandwich intact and the juices from seeping and spilling into the bag. So far, a big 4.5 stars for me. I am not ready to supplant my favorite burger joint in Fresno with Buttery Buns as the top spot but they have competition now. It does deserve to be mentioned in the conversations of the best burgers in the Central Valley I have tried so far.

Cheeseburger

We came here for lunch and took our food to-go, about a 10-minute drive to our destination. The inside had multiple tables, about 10-15, and then it was shared with another eatery that serves Mediterranean food. Definitely a casual feel where you order, take your food and then have a seat at one of the tables. Seems like there was plenty of seating. The sandwiches were all really good - we ordered the Nashville chicken, a cheeseburger, and the western burger. They were all standard and tasted well made on potato buns. However, the fries did not keep well during the drive at all. They actually were so mushy we didn't even finish one of the bags of fries. They tasted like they had been sitting out for awhile. Which was confusing to me because they packed the fries last. It was also annoying because when I called about my order they said it would take 10-15 minutes but when I got there 20 minutes later, I still had to wait about 5-10 minutes. Since the burgers and sandwiches were solid though, I would say they are a good place for eating in. But the fact that the fries were soggy means that they need to figure out their fries better. One meal, a side of fries, and three sandwiches cost about $40, so it is on the more steep side.

Chipotle burger and pickles added!

Been here multiple times without issues, and tonight unfortunately was a less than stellar experience. Ordered our food at 7:43 and there was no mention of their hours or closing time (which is apparently 8pm although there are no hours listed in the window, and why would I check yelp for their hours if I've been here multiple times?). Food was brought out basically at 8pm and STILL no mention of their closing time... so we start digging in and about halfway through the girl tells us "sorry we close at 8pm... I don't mean to kick you guys out but...." LIKE WTF. We were elbow deep in sauce and she still proceeded to kick us out because she "needs to finish closing." I've literally never had something like that happen before and it completely ruined the meal. Why not just tell us to begin with that you close at eight and that the order needs to be to go? Or better yet give us 5-10 more minutes and let us finish our food while you clean the rest of the store. She even had the audacity to tell us to "have a blessed day" as we walked out with our half finished food. Definitely left us with a bad taste in our mouth and it will be a long time before we come back, if we even do. Food is good but service and hospitality was seriously lacking tonight.

Butter chicken sandwich with no onions. And fries.

Went today for lunch. And got the butter chicken sandwich. I got mine with no onions so it just the sauce and chicken. The chicken was cooked to order. Hot when it came out. Juicy. The bun was super soft. Not amazing but a good sandwich. It was about $15 for the combo. With fries and a soda. The fries were delish. Reminded me of doghouse fries. Good seasoning. They have Pepsi products for drinks. Huge dining area with music playing. The workers brought the food out to us and were friendly.

Rockslide Brownie
Andrea W.

Ordered through DoorDash. Got the pesto, sun dried tomato turkey sandwich, fries and the brownie for desert. Sandwich was good, fries were beer battered perfection and the brownie! Not too sweet by my sweet tooth standards with the perfect amount of caramel and some nuts for a little crunch. Pleasantly surprised by this one!

Back home for the weekend, my brother and I decided to grab some food before heading back to LA. This shop is secluded from the main part of the city but not hard to find. On a Sunday morning it was pretty empty, but the service was still great. It was well upkept and shared its space with another restaurant. I ordered the California classic sandwich and got our order fairly quickly and it was worth the wait. It was a packed Sandwich that hearty and fulfilling. They also have an array of breakfast sandwiches and burgers. This is a great alternative to any chain sandwich place and could be cheaper. I definitely recommend if looking for a quick bite!

Very clean inside, good and friendly service. The food was good, made nice and fresh and hot on the spot

Bryan K.

Buttery buns is a nice eatery that is conveniently located to where I work in town. The food is very good especially for the cost. The service is mostly self service so I don't particularly care for that aspect. A lot of tables were dirty and needing to be cleaned. Made finding a spot to eat probably harder than it should have been.

If you didn't make reservations and ask if being seated outside is faster to get seated. 3. They will ask for a phone number to text you your in the waiting list and when your table is ready. 4. Food comes out fast. Bottomless coffee. 5. Some items you can choose 1 side order or 2 side orders. 6. Look at the menu before going or while waiting (posted here on Yelp) There are so many options and if you're hungry you might be in a hurry to order and miss something you really would have wanted to order. 7. Becareful don't have "Big eyes" these are good size portions my wife and I shared and still couldn't finish. You can get all the normal diner style favorites like eggs, bacon, sausage and a whole plate size pancake or get a Pork Verde breakfast omelette or opt for a burrito. To make a long story longer here's a summary : Make RSVPs, Bottomless decent coffee, look at menu ahead of time, Service is good but they are busy so please be kind, and as always if possible bring a friend to share this with and Enjoy. We visited on a weekday and were seated within a few minutes. We sat outside since we had our dog, which was a nice option. I had a mimosa and the chilaquiles, and my boyfriend ordered the chile verde burrito. Portions were really generous-we didn't even finish our plates. The food was good, though I do wish the chilaquiles had come with sour cream and a bit more chicken. Chile verde burrito was yummy! Service was fine and everything came out in a reasonable time. Only downside was the restroom situation-there's just one, and even though I locked the door, someone still walked in right as I was coming out of the stall... super awkward and uncomfortable Overall, a solid spot with big portions and a relaxed vibe on a weekday. I'd come back, just with a couple small improvements in mind.

Everyone was so nice, Jessica…read moreespecially was super attentive, our coffees were always full, our food came out at a decent time and it was still nice and hot and she was so friendly throughout our time here, so Jessica if you ever see this, Thank you so much, we appreciate you! We happened to be in the area today with a failed trip to Lithia Ford for a car repair. We both were hungry and needed to choose between breakfast or Mexican food, we flipped a coin and the coin chose breakfast. I'm glad it did, cause right when we were heading towards another breakfast spot, we made the quick decision to just choose what was nearby. It's a restaurant name we've heard of, but haven't been, so we opted to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! Because the food was amazing and the service just as much! Parking lot was full but not too crazy, that luckily came after we were seated. Inside was nicely themed to Louisiana Bayou with gators and cute signs with quotes and a big tree in the seating area with sound effects of bugs from the swamp. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a nice greeting from one of the busy waitresses who let us know we would be seated in a moment. Our server Jessica came up with a smile and a warm welcome and had us follow her to our booth. We both started off with coffee and browsed the menu, this menu had some usual fair but definitely stayed in the theme of the restaurant with Louisiana cuisine, like andouille sausage as a breakfast meat choice. I went with their "Hucks Platter" which is 3 eggs anyway you want, choice of potatoes or hashbrowns and you can choose between a couple varieties of meats, steak, chicken fried steak, sausage, bacon and andouille. It also comes with a choice of side, being toast, homemade biscuit or their huckleberry bread? I played it safe and went with the white toast. I also went with the bacon cause I love me some bacon! It was hickory smoked and my goodness it was cooked to perfection! My whole meal was cooked perfectly! I truly appreciate the cooking staff for doing such an amazing job during a busy morning. Jess chose the Banana Foster French Toast and my goodness! It looked just as good if not better than the picture. It was loaded, thick and comes with a side of eggs and your choice of meat. She loved the French toast, she's never had Bananas Foster before but she said it was decadent, sweet and had a nice caramelized flavor. Would recommend and also get it again! We paid, "with tip" around $57, which isn't bad for most breakfast spots now a days. Especially when you're getting this kind of food quality and service. We never went without a fresh hot cup of coffee and a nice check in from Jess or one of the other servers to pick up a plate or ask us how we're doing. I do apologize for no pictures, when the food came out, it looked so good we just dug right in! We both would absolutely come back and eat here again if we're in the area or back in Fresno looking for a breakfast spot. If you're in and or from here, you should definitely make this your go-to breakfast spot!
