We were driving through the area on a road trip and decided to try the deli as it was highly rated and easy to access from the freeway. We had the pastrami sandwich and the steak and cheese with onion and pepper peppers. The food was freshly prepared quite tasty and served nice and hot. The people they're really friendly and we had no major complaints. We did not realize it was a seasoning salt placed on the french fries and next time we would prefer the french fries plain and the sandwiches could have been seasoned a little bit more just not with salt. The restaurant was very clean and surprisingly offered ice cream sundaes which if we would've been there longer, I would've gotten one! read more

Manhattan Deli conveniently off the 99 freeway. It caught my eye because I thought, finally, some place that's not a chain like McDonald's or Subway. I was not disappointed. I got the pastrami sandwich. It tastes similar to pastrami at The Hat for those in Southern California. It has the right amount of salty and greasy that I like with fast food pastrami sandwiches. One thing that's different is that they put tomato slices and mayonnaise in the sandwich too. I think the mayonnaise makes it taste much better compared to mustard. Give this place a try if you're in the area. read more

Really like this restaurant! It was recommended to me to get their pastrami fries but I wanted to go on the healthier side and received a salad. I really like that even though it had dressing on the side the salad was tossed in its own seasoning. I almost didn't even need the dressing. I did order this with a side order of french fries which unfortunately were way too salty for me to enjoy. The food was made fresh and the service was fast. This is a nice sit-down or Take Out restaurant so the Ambiance is really easy going. It is worth a try. read more

Not sanitary. Ordered a Pastrami Burger. Was excited to try it until I saw what the cook was doing while cooking my burger. He placed the pastrami and the patty on the flat grill. Latex glove in 1 hand and no glove in the other hand. He grabbed a broomstick and dustpan and started sweeping the floor. He went back to my order and started assembling my burger. He did not change his glove or wash his hands after touching those dirty broomstick and dustpan. I split the burger in half and gave them to both my dogs. read more

They also have many different sandwiches and tons of different desserts! Lots of choices! Bought some Oreos and Nature Valley bars too! Took the wrap home. Heated it in the microwave. It was really good! The chicken was tender and all the veggies were fresh and yummy! The worker was nice and easy to talk to. Recommended the wrap. Inexpensive and scrumptious wrap! I went here on a whim because I was nearby during my lunch hour. I was surprised to see it was a convenience store half turned into a fully loaded dive bar style restaurant. They had a salad bar, grill top, an ice cream machine and on the other half a wall of chips and drinks. Tons of options! I ordered the first thing on the menu, a Philly cheesesteak combo. I was able to substitute the fountain drink for a beverage from the fridge, which I highly appreciated. The guys working were nice but obviously busy making food ringing up customers. I got my food in about 7min. I didn't give 5 stars only because the food was on the saltier side, but not unbearable or anything. Really great bread the sandwich was made on and flavorful meat. The French fries were well seasoned and crinkle. I would definitely go back and try a burger. read more

I haven't been inside, my husband has gotten take out on his way home from work. According to him, it's in a gas station and in a not so nice part of town. But the food is popular and there is always a line to order. Sandwiches are a good size, definitely not big enough to share but you'll get full with your own sub. It's a better option than all the chain restaurants in this area. There are many options on the menu. Had high hopes, but it's just one of those places like so many others that have popped up in Fresno over the past few years. Seems like they are all halal grilled meat places. They all have similar menus. I'm talking about Sam's, Frosty Queen, Red Onion, Fancy Burger, Triangle, etc. Look any of them up, the food is basically the same. Ordered a roast beef sandwich directly from the cook who asked what I wanted. Another guy rang me up with a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Then asked if I wanted a combo. I said yes. After a reasonable wait I was handed my sandwich wrapped in paper and foil, and some fries in a bag. No drink. Sandwich was pretty good. I think i got the Philly cheesesteak. You gotta love it when the West Side gets a new restaurant, because well, the West Side hardly ever gets new restaurants. Mostly because the ones already there are neighborhood staples, and the new ones don't last long if they aren't part of a larger chain. So anyways, we are headed up C St trying to get home, when my wife remembers she wants to go to Sally's. So we pull right up between it and the smoke shop, and what do I find? Manhattan Deli? I'm already interested because, this is my home. Well, not for the last 16 years, but still, you have to support the new business. As I look at the building from the outside, I wonder how Manhattan will be different from the nearby Triple A Burger. For starters, Triple A had a way larger menu. But where Triple A is a sit down restaurant, Manhattan is to go only. They are Uber Eats ready, so you know online ordering is a thing. The salad options are huge, so huge in fact that they didn't give my wife everything she asked for, to get disappointment. The burgers and fries were pretty good, as was my Philly cheese steak. But the biggest difference between the two, and perhaps the one that matters the most, is it's location. Triple A draws a lot of loiterers. Manhattan had it's homeless foot traffic, but the nearby police station ensures that they don't stick around long. And I'm pretty sure the property has its own security arrangements. I was in the area so I decided to try this place out. I was recommended to get the Philly cheese steak sandwich or burger. I went with the Philly and it was pretty good. I'm very picky when it comes to Philly sandwiches as most places don't make it quite good enough. But this place surprised me, it was a solid sandwich and I would definitley go back to get it.
