This is a ghost kitchen so be prepared to wait in your car. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy so if you don't feel like driving there they do offer delivery. The talented young chef will bring your food out to you in no time. My hubby loves the chopped smoke and regular chopped cheese. He said the chopped smoke has the right amount of heat and meat. The bread he uses is perfect and doesn't get soggy. If you like a little spice the chopped smoke is perfect for you. They serve breakfast all day. So I opted for the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. My sandwich was tiny but packed with so much flavor. I don't think this place is for me or I'm not understanding the hype... I hate to give a not-so-great review to a locally owned place but this was my second time and I can't say it won me over. This time I got the Bayanihan (spam and chop cheese). With spam being so salty already, I feel that this one was over the top with the original chop cheese meat mixture. The location feels a little offbeat. You order through their app, go to a market, and wait in your car, and someone delivers your food to you through a side door of the market. We usually order ahead then drive to the location so the wait is not as long. It can get very busy. But the food is phenomenal. We usually get the checkmate and the chop cheese. Post morning yoga calls for a tasty and substantial lunch. Cuz you know, we earned it. I downloaded the app and placed an order 5 minutes ahead. Park outside on the curb and wait until ready. Total wait time was about 30 minutes for 4 sandwiches. They had a lot of orders ahead of us. We got the checkmate, which includes beef rib with bone in the sandwich. Incredibly tasty, tender, and bone pulls out easily as advertised. It's great for once in a while because it comes with a hefty price tag of $26. We also got the chopped smoke, which is basically a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions chopped up and put on a roll. It was tasty and substantial, but maybe about as enjoyable as a cheeseburger. My friends enjoyed their chopped cheese (same as the chopped smoke minus bacon) & hundiddy (sandwich version of a pepperoni pizza). The other sandos will run you $12-15 each. I finally made the long drive from the Bay Area to check them out and it most definitely was worth it! They have a decent sized menu that consists of their famous Classic NY Chopped Cheese, The Checkmate (Beef Short Rib Sandwich), The Chop Smoke, Hippy Flip (Mushroom Chopped Cheese), Bayanihan (Filipino Style Chopped Cheese) as well as a variety of breakfast sandwiches, drinks, snacks and other convenience items that you would find at a traditional NY bodega. This place is strictly pick-up, you order online via the app and pull up to the restaurant and your food is brought out to you. It seems quite efficient and Eddie has it down. Eddie knew I traveled far for this sandwich after saying I was going to come for a couple months now and he was very nice and appreciative. I ordered the Classic NY Chopped Cheese and a soda. The chopped cheese was amazing, definitely the best that I have ever had. Love at first bite!!The bread was so soft and fresh and it held up nicely. I was one of the lucky IG Yelp contest giveaway winners!!! I've had this placed booked marked for a while finally had the opportunity to visit the location. Entered the IG Yelp giveaway and was lucky to have won a sandwich! I was given instructions on how to redeem my prize. You have to download their app to order. It's easy to navigate and the time slots for pick up was very flexible. I've never had chopped cheese and as noted on their menu the Classic NY was recommended. I had also placed an order for The Checkmate, seeing all the IG videos and its popularity I just had to try and see what the hype was about. Once I arrived at the location at the exact time I had placed my order for pick up. I had parked infront of the door which had instructions with a phone number you can call or text. It was pouring that day I picked up so I stayed in the car and sent him a text message. Waited a few minutes and didn't get a reply so ended up calling him right away and he answered saying he was wrapping up the sandwiches and will be out shortly. Few minutes later My Guy himself came out with a sealed black back of my order. He was very nice. We stayed there for a little while and he came back at my window offering us a free Checkmate sandwich that was ordered but wasn't claimed. We gladly accepted and left with a total of 3 sandwiches! Like a drug deal waiting for the "product" to be passed off... there's a sense of danger in the air. Mixed with sauces and meat! So happy to have found this place. I really didn't expect to find a good chopped cheese in Fresno of all places. I fell in love after a visit to Brooklyn last year where I tried one, and have been on the hunt since coming back to the west coast. I tried a couple disappointing imitations in LA, but the reviews for My Guy had me hopeful... And I was not disappointed! The sandwich was perfect. I think the biggest thing so many places overlook is the bread. It's easy to make something meaty, cheesy, greasy (in the good way), and fresh, but not all bread is the same, and My Guy got it right. I had to come back the next day after seeing the Bayanihan on the menu. I love spam and figured it must be good. I wasn't wrong. I loved every bite. Threw on a little hot sauce to spice it up. Blasphemous? Idk but I loved it. I wish there was an interior because My Guy brings the vibes, but I'm sure the business is much easier to operate this way, and honestly I'm down with whatever is necessary to keep this place going because I hope it's always here. I kept seeing these sandwiches pop up on my feed and I had to try it. Realized it was on DoorDash and placed an order right away. I got the 2 for $20 and tried the Classic Chop and Chop Smoke with extra sauce. Both got here surprisingly still warm (I live in Clovis so about a 15-20 min drive). Opened it up and it looked sooo good. One of my biggest icks is soggy bread and the bread on this held up so well. Both were super tasty. I think I prefer the classic but the chop smoke was also great. Cheesy, flavorful. I have no complaints. I'll be ordering again for sure! The "Cop Cheese" $10, included ground beef, American cheese, lettuce, and tomato. the sandwich was quite bland and didn't resemble a New York-style steak and cheese in terms of taste or presentation.
