Walking in and a nice worker was happy to tell me where it was located....

You have to go through a security check and thankfully, the workers and security are very nice! You take the stairs up to the cafe. Greeted by a kind worker and ordered the grilled turkey with wheat and pepper jack sandwich. Also added jalapeños and avocado. Paid for the order and waited. The worker was kind and easy to talk to. Nice little place. There's a bunch of other stuff too like coffee and their breakfast menu looks great! Sat at a chair and waited a short time and the nice worker brought it out and he wished me a good day handing it over! =) Lunchtime! The grilled turkey pepper jack sandwich with jalapeños and avocado was fresh and tasty! I had half and it was a good amount. It's pretty much like a sandwich you would get to put together from the grocery store, but still good! Good service and sandwich! Recommended!

    Delicious tuna melt. added avocado....

If you don't mind passing through security and taking all metal off your body, this may be a fun and interesting visit. Originally I caught some pictures of this place sometime ago and headed over to the address which I had no idea was inside a federal courthouse. The day that I first tried to eat here, it was closed so I didn't go through. I happen to be over at double tree for a Medicare Broker's meeting and was thinking about eating someplace I hadn't tried before... It seems that all the parking downtown is now electronic and handled through your phone. I liked that. The federal courthouse and its grounds are stunning. The budget for construction must've been gigantic. Each detail and element in planning and construction is of the highest levels. The way each tile fits together, the textured cladding, the embedding of metal, glass and transitions between various materials. Even the stairway to the second level is a work of art. It is big, open, roomy....quiet. Just the way I like my environments... And it looks like every penny of the $165 million dollars spent on it! You'll need to pass through a phalanx of security, answer various questions and go through the metal detector. No doubt, that keeps beggars and homeless out... :) The café is on the second floor and carries a nice variety of items. The menus are located in completely different parts which is not ideal. The breakfast menu is on one wall and the lunch menu on a completely different wall 15 feet away from it. It looks like there's some daily specials and food here is priced like it other venues. You're not coming here for some cheap deal.. It seems like they were only two people working here. A gentleman at the register taking orders and one woman in the kitchen making the food. And it's delish! I ordered a tuna melt, extra tomato, add onions and pickles, add avocado. I think I blew it when they asked me if I wanted mayo on the bread. I should've realized that the mixture of tuna already has mayo in it and left it that way.. It was a bit juicier than it might have been otherwise but still delicious. Unlike other places, the filling was actually HOT, things melted. The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted providing a wonderful texture. And although the sandwich was sloppy, it was generously portioned and delicious. I ate directly outside on the mezzanine where there were dozens of tables with beautiful views out into the atrium. It was serene and there is no claustrophobia or crowds to contend with. GOOD! Like anywhere, if you go you'll probably want to get your timing right so you're not going at the peak... All the food in the pictures looks fantastic and that's what drew me here, compelled me, MADE me come! It was an unconventional venue and the stars aligned in proximity for my vis..... -G

Tastes like homemade breakfast but to get to the cafe is a bit of a hassle since you have to go inside a secured building where they check you.

    Southwestern Chicken Wrap

Ah, I love it here! I work in the Robert E. Coyle Courthouse & will stop by the cafe when I'm too lazy to walk across the street lol but to be fair, my lunch is only 30 minutes. Anywho.... Alex is awesome - he will greet you once you walk in & take your order. He knows me but name now & knows exactly how I like my BLT sandwich lol!! & Martha is the best! Her food is delicious. She has a daily special that usually includes a drink & sometimes chips or fries. She also has a soup of the day. I wish I had pictures of all the yummy food I've had here, but I'm usually always too hungry to snap a pic. I did however snap a picture of her southwestern chicken wrap which was sooo flavorful! It had chicken, lettuce, corn salad, tortilla chips, cheese, drizzled in a chipotle style sauce...all wrapped up & grilled lightly in a spinach tortilla wrap. Bomb.com *If you ever stop by - try out her meatloaf. I personally haven't tried it yet because it's always sold out by the time I get to the cafe - but my coworkers rave about it!!

Chorizo Burrito! With potatoes eggs and cheese!

Great cafe in the federal courthouse. The breakfast burritos are really good. Chorizo is my favorite. They also have rotating specials that adds variety. They had a Banh Mi sandwich this time and it was fresh with really good pork. The sauce on the side gave it that extra punch!

My favorite - egg salad on toasted sourdough.
    Nikki I.

This place is literally the best spot downtown to eat. I am soooo glad they are open after COVID so I can get their awesome daily specials!

    Croissant sandwich with bacon

Favorite croissant sandwich place, we love the croissant sandwich with bacon. You do have to go through courthouse security to eat here but it's worth it.

Lunch is always delicious at the Cherry Blossom Cafe. Martha, Marissa, and Mondo do a great job of taking care of their customers and ensuring they leave satisfied. Chef Martha's menu features a daily special. Although she rotates her options, she offers things like Thai noodles with chicken, BBQ pork sandwiches, carne asada tacos, and Vietnamese deli subs. What makes this place stand out from the rest, as I already mentioned, is the service. Martha is really open to constructive criticism and does a great job of seeking feedback from her customers; that is something I can appreciate. The noon hour can be nightmarish as with most places due to the heavy volume of customers they serve; however, the lines move pretty fast. Plain and simple, I'm a huge fan.

Alyssa is knowledgeable about espresso, how to achieve a proper pull, listening to her educate a fellow employee in a very kind, warm and educating manner, while providing a thorough explanation of how to and why to do things in a certain manner. Her explanation helped myself understand from a distance about espresso and the do's and don't s to achieve the perfect product. I always ask servers for their recommendations. Alyssa gave us two of her recommendations and gave us complete clarity regarding the smoked vanilla shot with paprika. Knowing my open pallet and the fact that I am very open to earthy and knew things that was a definite must try. When Alyssa served us our flight she sat down and provided a very thorough explanation of where all the beans, flowers and bread are sourced and explained it is basically a taste of Fresno. The flavors chosen for the flight. Banana: very much like banana taffy flavor. Very good and sweet banana flavoring that was muted delightfully when adding the espresso. The lavender: I'm a huge fan of lavender and it was bright, floral and milky, everything was searching for with good lavender flavoring! It was delicious both before and after the addition of the espresso. The almond citrus: it was very almond forward which was bright, and floral also with a slightly sweet finish and almost tasted like eating a scrumptious pastry. The smoke vanilla was served strikingly with a smoked cinnamon stick on top. It was bright, warm, earthy, and slightly spicy on the back end. This drink was my favorite and it the milk helped smooth the notes out completely balancing it. The flight was stunning to look at and taste. Service was SUPERB and educational with local sourcing information. Would I return: ABSOLUTELY!!!

We walked up to the order counter where they have a menu explaining all their drinks. The owner helped us with which drinks were on the sweeter side and which were not. My friend and I opted for a banana brulee and a chai. We also ordered one of their bagels with in-house made cream cheese with orange zest. The chai was absolutely amazing, best in town in my opinion. The banana latte was a little on the sweet side for my taste, but the owner graciously added another shot of espresso to my drink to even it out. There are so many interesting flavors on the menu that I will definitely be back to try another one. The bagel was good, but I think I might go with the more savory one if I ordered food again, or maybe try the pan dulce next time. And there most definitely will be a next time!

The photos online don't fully represent what the place actually looks like. The restrooms were in very poor condition, to the point that I didn't even feel comfortable going inside. When we first walked in, there was no greeting or direction from staff, and it wasn't clear whether we were supposed to seat ourselves or order first. Another frustration was that there were no prices listed on the menu. It's difficult to order when you have no idea what you're spending or how much the drinks cost. I ordered a large Americano, which only came with two shots of espresso. For that size, I would have expected three or even four shots. The coffee wasn't very strong, and instead of fresh half-and-half, they only offered the small packaged creamers. My parents ordered the Number 3 and requested it on a plate. The eggs were overcooked, the beans lacked flavor, and the potatoes were not crispy at all. We also found it odd that it wasn't served with bread or even a tortilla. I ordered the Number 1 as a torta, and I would say that was probably the best thing we had. The chorizo was flavorful, and overall I'd give the torta a 7 out of 10. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and overall food quality did not meet our expectations. Based on our experience, we won't be returning.
