Wow! So beyond disappointed with this place. I recently purchased a sweater here (along with $300 worth of other items) and when I wore the sweater once, it fell apart! I was so disappointed. I brought the sweater back, fully expecting at the very least store credit and an apology. Nope! They scoffed at me when I explained I'd spent a lot of money at their store and basically shrugged me off. I left and told them to throw it out, since it's completely unwearable. You should really reconsider the snobby attitudes and lack of customer service. Especially in this economical climate selling Forever 21 quality sweaters for $60-$90. I was followed around the store the entire time I was looking for clothes the older lady would not leave me alone. I tried to add address to my fitting room and she quickly went in there and counted the items. I will never buy anything from them again big mistake. Big mistake. read more

Visited this store today and the service was out of this world! I'm a larger size and expected the usual snobby glance like good luck with that. Instead Sharna said "Wait here and I will set some tops by the dressing room for you in your size!" She was so nice and caring and made me feel very comfortable. She was very knowledgeable about fashion and helped me pick some new things I would never even have tried on. I walked out with 3 tops even though I thought I was just going to be waiting for my friend to shop. She helped my friend too in the same way and she also got 3 cool items. I can't wait to visit again now that I have a new unique place to shop! Try it!! read more

I visited Button Up today around 3:45pm and absolutely NO one greeted me. I have been in retail management for years and I would have been, so disappointed in my staff for getting an review like this. Customer service is key in the retail industry. I was having lunch in the area and decided to stop in. They weren't busy with customers or anything and no one said a word. For how much the items are priced for you'd expect better customer service and empathy. Walked into the store around noon there were two employees but they were more concerned about gossiping at the register with the customers checking out than helping me find a Sherri Hill dress for an upcoming event. I was willing to spend close to $400 for a gown but because I received no attention, I immediately walked out. The only reason why I give this boutique 2 stars is because they actually offer designer gowns in the area. But I drove to Walnut Creek to pick up my Sherri Hill dress and they treated me with respect and actually cared about what I was looking for and the style as well. Disappointing for this type of customer service in Roseville, I will not be shopping here nor will I recommend this boutique to family, friends, and clients. read more

When we have made an appointment, are given attention last, then completely ignored, how do you expect a positive review? Shaniia ( or something close) was helping my daughter, however when the girl who was being helped before us purchased a dress, instead of helping us further, she not only completely ignored us, but in fact was busy trying on dresses herself, and being assisted by another employee as we left! No customer service...no acknowledgement when we entered, even though the store was not busy, and no assistance in the fitting rooms. The dresses were missing several beads and hooks, and the zippers were not working. What a disappointing prom dress shopping experience for my daughter. The two sales associates really need customer service training. Not sure how this place stays in business. read more

I recently purchased the most GORGEOUS prom dress for my daughter at this place (not going to lie, dress was pretty pricey $600 by Sherri Hill BUT...SO worth every cent at the end of the day!)...and even after shopping around for 4 hours, we ended up coming back! Sharna was extremely helpful and provided my daughter with exceptional service and made her feel like a princess when helping her try out dresses, even with my crazy 1 year old running around lol. Sharna was attentive and made the whole "prom dress shopping" such a pleasure! Hannah also greeted us and was friendly. I visited Button Up Boutique because they are the only local retailer for a particular item of jewelry I was shopping for. I zeroed in on the item I was looking for right away and the boutique staff couldn't have been more helpful, warm and pleasant. They do seem to carry a nice variety of better quality, higher priced but unique clothing -- in other words, exactly what you would expect to find in a boutique. I did notice a rack of formals and prom dresses but they also seemed to carry a lot of casual and resort type wear and separates and some very nice pendants, rings, etc. I definitely will be back when shopping for something unique and special. read more

Prom dress buyers beware!!! My daughter and I were so disappointed when we picked up her Sherry Hill prom dress and it was incredibly wrinkled. When I asked the manager if they planned on pressing it before I took home she said "No we don't provide that service. I think this is ridiculous considering these dressses are incredibly expensive, they should be ready to wear when leaving the store. I do not think this represents Sherri Hill well at all. I had to take it to Vali dry cleaners who I highly recommend to have it pressed at an additional cost. For a larger selection of beautiful prom dresses and where you will receive better customer service go to David's Bridal. My other daughter's dress came ready to wear from David's Bridal. read more

Well, my 16 year old daughter and I went in there Friday evening. First, we were not greeted at all. Then we went to look at prom dresses after browsing a bit and still no one ever said hi, asked if we needed help, never offered helped...one gal (blond hair) walked by us as we were looking at dresses, glanced at us and kept walking. Very poor customer service-it's like they don't care if you're there. Their prices are completely outrageous too; way over priced even for some finer items. We left feeling let down; no acknowledgement as we left either. I won't go in there again and will tell people where not to go. read more

I was thrilled with my service at Button Up Boutique. I went in looking for a dress for a Chamber of Commerce event, not really sure what I was looking for, and wound up attending my event with a dress so eye catching and perfect for me that I got non stop compliments all night long! The service was superb. My attendant figured out my size, body type, and sense of style immediately. I got the first class treatment, with her bringing me look after look, staying to offer opinions on their fit, help me with zippers, and bringing me heels to pull the looks together. With all of the assistance I received, she never pushed me or tried to talk me into buying anything. I wound up buying 3 dresses that day, 2 of which I would have never looked twice at let alone tried on without her suggestion (one was even on clearance!) and haven't regretted them for one second.
