Great experience. John shared videos so I could see real time the mess that filled the vents. Great job and I would highly recommend him.

Its service man (whose name I am not disclosing) was at my house for routine maintenance a few days ago. At no time did he wear a face mask.  I'm vaccinated, and all the other contractors coming to my house recently have been vaccinated, too -- at least they say they've been. I'd think that vaccination would be good for business. At the end of the Hannabery call, when the service man asked for payment, he came into my home office and came closer than six feet to me as I handed him the check and signed his computer. Given the absence of a mask, I assumed that he had been vaccinated, but I asked him anyway if he had been.  He immediately became hostile and said that Hannabery doesn't require vaccinations or masks and that he would neither confirm nor deny if he had been vaccinated. I said that if I had known he hadn't been vaccinated, I would have been wearing an N-95 mask, which I have. He responded that even N-95 masks don't protect against the coronavirus, which is patently false.  He left the house in a huff. Apparently, Hannabery and its service man believe the anti-vaxxers, rather than Dr. Fauci, the Food and Drug Administration or the Centers for Disease Control. After he left, I had to open all the windows and wear an N-95 mask because I had no idea what the service man may have left behind. It is the service man's defiant attitude that is spreading the Delta variant and making people sick. The Hannabery web site says, "Our technicians wear gloves, face masks and booties."  In fact, they do not. A few days before the appointment, I received an e-mail from Hannabery with the service man's bio. According to Microsoft Word, the e-mail contains 413 words. It's in a tiny font. At the very end, the e-mail has the following disclaimer, "***Effective 06/28/21 the Pennsylvania mask mandate is being lifted.  If you still prefer our technician to wear a mask while in your home please contact our office prior to your scheduled service call.***" I didn't even notice it. I would like to know how this disclaimer in the e-mail squares with "Our technicians wear gloves, face masks and booties," which appears on the web site and DOES get noticed. In my house, I will determine who enters and who does not.  If I'd been warned that the service man wasn't vaccinated, I would have canceled the service or refused him entry. On the same day I had this experience, I e-mailed service@hannabery.com about my concerns. They never responded. Hannabery can take its anti-anti-Covid crusade to like-minded customers who also feel that the pandemic is a hoax. I have a relative who died from Covid after being on a ventilator for two weeks. I never gave informed consent to Hannabery about having an unmasked, unvaccinated employee in my house. Because of this incident, I've gone for Covid testing and am waiting for the result. This is the end of my eleven-year association with Hannabery. When I need routine maintenance next year, I will be hiring someone else. Apparently, their principles are more important than my money.

My sister hired Alan Halteman from Tri-State Air Duct Cleaning to clean the air ducts in her family's home for the first time. He was referred by a friend. (Most likely another clueless customer) My sister never writes reviews, so I am posting this on her behalf. Apparently, Alan never asked about the house layout, square footage, or the number of HVAC units before providing a quote. They have two units. She assumed the flat rate of $900, quoted over the phone, was for the entire house. However, as soon as he arrived and started working, the story changed. He claimed that the quote only covered the first level of the house and that cleaning the upper level would cost an additional $900. He also said he didn't have enough time that day to clean the second floor. He apologized for the "misunderstanding" and offered to charge $800 plus tax for the first floor instead of $900. She allowed him to proceed and paid him at the end. According to her, he did not remove some of the return covers/vent covers who were high up on the ceiling during cleaning. Instead, he simply inserted a thin tube through the vent openings. (Another red flag!) In the end, she would have had to pay $1,700 to clean the air ducts in a 2,400-square-foot colonial home. The already excessive price did not even include sanitizing the system. In her experience, this felt like a classic bait-and-switch pricing tactic. Totally dishonest! Remeber, a legitimate air duct cleaning company should ask about your home's square footage, the number of HVAC systems or zones, and provide a transparent, all-inclusive quote before ever arriving at your property. In New Jersey, the legitimate market price to clean the air ducts for a 2,400-square-foot house (assuming a standard multi-zone setup with 2 separate HVAC systems) ranges from $950 to $1,200 total for the entire home.

We were amazed at how dirty our vents were (picture shows 18" filters in his machine w the gunk from our vents)! I have allergies and was waking up with stuffy head/sore throat and today I was normal! Omg so nice! I do advise if you have pets to give them Xanax or take to a friends bc my dogs were freaked out by the noise of the machine at the top of the basement stairs. I wish I had known the process ahead - so here's info -Anthony started upstairs at each vent and worked down to furnace in basement. Then cleaned from there including the coils and we got an uv light installed. The only con is there wasn't an appointment confirmation call as we had scheduled this months ago, that would've been a nice reminder.
