I'm not sure if that's how it operated "BC" (Before COVID-19) or not but you rarely see that kind of set-up in North Jersey but much more common around shore towns. The delivery process started about an hour later, but at some point, the DoorDash driver tracking got stuck at a location just a couple of minutes from my home, and remained there for more than half hour. I tried to contact the DoorDash driver through the app but the message that I was receiving was that the number was not valid anymore. I then tried to call and/or obtain online chat with both Total Wine and DoorDash and I had to wait another half hour for both of them unsuccessfully, until finally I reached Total Wine customer service and was told that the order would be canceled, I would receive a refund and a discount for its future replacement order, and that I would also immediately receive an email confirmation for this. As a result of this, I missed important appointments. However, I never received any email confirmation. I then tried to contact Total Wine using email at customercare@totalwine.com, which was not even acknowledged. In the past, I was very happy with Total Wine, but now I see that their Customer Service is terrible. I expect that it will take a lot more effort for the refund to be issued. In fact, even the email customercare@totalwine.com is not listed in their webpage under "Contact Us," allowing only "chat with us" and "call us", each of which is painful and takes about half hour to go through.
