Wow. Wow and wow! I have eaten a lot of barbecue and I must say this place is absolutely fabulous! I ate my meal and tasted everyone else's and I have to say that the ribs and the brisket are my absolute favorite but everything was awesome. I loved the general feel of the restaurant and the service was excellent. Easy to get to and plenty a room - a great place to have a beer and an appetizer or or bring the whole family. I typically unintentionally hit Nevada during lunch time as I travel for work so it was great to see a BBQ place open up and get another option. I was a bit disappointed in the meat as I'm a fan of dry rubs and would prefer to not use any sauce if possible. No rub and minimal smoke flavor made them pretty bland but a little sauce really picked up the flavor. The ribs and burnt ends are so-so but the reason I will come back is their great selection of vegetables as sides. There are several options if your trying to stay away from carbs. The smoked cabbage was a bit bland. But the vegetable skewer was delicious. I will definitely be going back next time I'm driving through town. read more

Driving through on a Wednesday evening looking for somewhere to eat. Came across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Super impressed and we will be back!! I had a big baked potato loaded with smoked brisket, bbq beans, butter, sour cream, cheese, and jalapeños. Also ordered a side of smoked cabbage and spicy corn bites because I was curious about them. The potato was phenomenal and I can see why it was marked as a customer favorite. The corn nuggets were like a cross between cream corn bites and jalapeño poppers and served with a side of ranch. They were excellent. The cabbage was good but didn't really get much smoke flavor out of it. My wife had the fried catfish with a side of sidewinder fries and the bbq beans. The catfish was easily in the top three of any fried catfish we have had including Wooden Spoon (Gentry, AR) and Catfish Hole (Fayetteville, AR and Alma, AR). It was a thick slab of catfish filet that took up the length of the entire plate. Perfectly spiced and corn meal breaded and hot, flaky, and juicy in the middle. Added some fresh lemon juice and a bit of their tartar sauce and it was to die for. We will go back just to have that again. The sidewinder fries were really good as well. Also had good unsweetened iced tea. Good and strong just like this southern boy likes. Can't wait to come back through this neck of the woods so we can stop and eat here again. So freaking good!! And the service was excellent to go with the outstanding food. Restrooms were as clean as can be expected at 8:00pm but they could use a remodel. I would suggest management train the high school servers better. We asked twice for beer glasses before getting. And I ordered soup, and sandwich. When soup arrived there was not a spoon. I asked for it, but did not get until both of us finished our meal!! The manager would not take my entree off of the bill..Only the soup...This is not how a customer should be treated! read more

We just left from this AWESOME hidden jewel of a restaurant. We started looking on YELP! It didn't pull up with the YELP app all the way from outskirts of Joplin, MO. It just so happened my husband saw big sign on highway right before the exit. So to the owners. If you have to pay yelp don't. Get more highway signs. I ordered Ribeye. Gigantic Caesar salad, portion was abundant I could actually eat the rest later and baked potato. It was the greatest. Cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the Prime Rib open faced and mashed potatoes and gravy and the best applesauce. He ordered as second side. It was like homemade with big chunks. Great. This was the best restaurant since we left IL. The precious waitress was so great. Looked like she was only server. No one was missed by her. Hope they'll be open every time we pass thru Nevada MO. Delicious food, good prices and friendly service. My husband and I stopped by as we were traveling home to Louisiana. I ordered the combo platter with ribs and pulled pork and my husband ordered the fried catfish. We were both very pleased ands enjoyed our entire meal. We stopped in on our way back from Eureka Springs. Hubs had ribs, slaw and baked beans. The beans were really good and ribs were tender and had good flavor. I had a turkey sandwich and it was awesome. The meat was tender/moist. I also had fries which were home style and really good. Definitely would eat here again. Well..... I ordered a prime rib dinner. The prime rib was cold. Not under cooked cold. Out of the fridge cold. Inside and out!!!!!! Apparently they put left over cooked meat in the cooler than feed it to you the next day or two. I will most definitely never go here again!! I would give it negative stars if I could. Also a prime rib is a roast cooked. When there are old grill char marks on both sides that means it was at one time cooked as a ribeye. Big difference!!!!!! read more

Oh my! If I could've given this 6 stars, I would have! Ordered the open face roast beef dinner and the brisket dinner. The meat on both plates was delicious! The mashed potatoes were and gravy were out of this world and the thick, soft bread they put on the side were perfect! We will try to stop here on our way back home to Colorado... but oh my... will almost regret stopping here since we don't have one back home! This is probably the worst BBQ I've had, and I've eaten bbq from new york to alaska and georgia to ohio. My husband ordered a medium rare top sirloin that was purple in the middle with 1/2 inch deep char marks that tasted like metal. He said he's had better steak at a hospital. My son's chicken tenders were microwaved out of a box. Weeds growing out front. The light over the table was a cold blue led that made the food look worse than it tasted. If there was any competition in this town buzz's would be out of business in a month. read more
