When we arrived we were seated quickly. A lot of items stood out to us on the menu so we went back and forth on what to order but it did take a little bit for someone to come take our order. Ultimately we landed on the peach cobbler French toast, cinnamon roll French toast, and a 1/2 and 1/2 lunch special with chicken & waffles and a cup of jambalaya. I was told the peach cobbler French toast was really good. The cinnamon roll French toast was prepared perfectly. Not soggy which was surprising given how much syrup and melted cream was on the plate. It was just VERY sweet. It also came with a side of eggs and brown sugar sage sausage patties. I loved the sausage patties and 2 was just enough. The chicken and waffles were good, the chipotle honey that came on the side complimented the chicken really well. The jambalaya had potential, but could have been seasoned a bit heavier. I also ordered the raspberry peach palmer and it was bombbb. I'd absolutely recommend another broken egg and will definitely stop in again if there's a location nearby.

Although they have a nice outdoor area it was warm and humid on this day and I wanted to sit in the air conditioning. I was seated immediately and provided a menu. I was a little surprised by the prices on the menu as I expected it to be a little less than it was. My server came by shortly after and asked about drinks and I got water. A few minutes later he came back and I ordered the peach cobbler French toast which looked good but probably look better in the picture then when it arrived. The presentation wasn't very good as it was just thrown on a plate and not really well presented to me. It tasted good it was very sweet but it was good. One of the things that reduced the star was both the presentation and the fact that the syrup that was presented to me in the cup had a layer of film over it and when I went to pour it over my French toast it wouldn't pour until I pierced the film covering the syrup. The eggs over medium and the well done bacon that I ordered came out perfectly and were very good. It was starting to get busy when I was ready to leave and it took a little longer for my server to bring my check and also then pick it up. All in all it was a good meal, and I will be back but I will try something else the next time I come in. I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try.

First Watch -- Savory Wins, Sweet Still Searching…read more After completing a 3-peat, here's my conclusion: The savory items at this chain are my cup of tea. The coffee is bold and strong, and for the price, getting a full pot that keeps you going without needing refills is a great value. The drink selection looks limited at first, but they quietly offer some very tasty juices. The kale apple stands out for me -- not normally my thing, but it works. I think there are better places for pancakes. I think there are better places for French toast. That said, it's still worth trying them -- what's missing for me might shine through for you. Where First Watch really wins: * Bacon Egg & Cheese (artisanal level good) * Million Dollar Potatoes (upgrade every time) * Crispy regular bacon * Sausage breakfast plates * Thoughtfully built savory options These plates feel crafted, not just assembled. The atmosphere brings a modern diner / brunch vibe that fits perfectly with what people are looking for today. Bright, busy, and comfortable. Location tip: Try not to sit near the kitchen -- it gets loud with staff conversations. Service is mixed * Some staff members are excellent * Others feel more transactional If you're ordering eggs, go scrambled or omelette over over-easy. Mine were undercooked previously, and it's an easy fix. Good coffee Strong savory menu Modern brunch vibe Some inconsistency Sweet items not standout (for me) That still lands First Watch at 4 stars. And with the lack of strong brunch options nearby, this is currently top dog for me. Still searching for that great French toast and pancakes.

Today I ordered the Traditional with a side of biscuits and gravy. I was overjoyed they used turkey for the gravy so ordered that also. The potatoes were so under seasoned it was a shame. Only square potatoes and salt. Onions, peppers, garlic, and parsley were not invited to the party. The dish also included two eggs, toast, and choice of breakfast meat which I selected the chicken apple sausage patty; which was a little too sweet but when ate with other foods, was ok. With those potatoes being not it, I wished I had went with the Trifecta and grabbed a waffle instead. Our server was very attentive and when I mentioned I was not a fan of the potatoes, she offered me other choices and I grabbed a side of greens. No one really raved about their food and nothing really stood out either from the other dishes ordered: Triathlete, The Godfather Breakfast Bowl, One of their omelets, and the Trifecta. We did enjoy each other's company and our server did a great job with taking care of us. Hopefully I'll remember next time or just order the pancakes or waffles which I don't like ordering from a restaurant because it's so easy for me to make and low cost food lol

The sausage and egg sandwich came on a croissant, and it was toasted perfectly with just the right amount of butter. We really enjoyed that one. The cheesesteak was also very good. The bread was nicely toasted, and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. My only suggestion would be to add a little more meat because the sandwich could definitely use it, but overall the flavor was good and we enjoyed it. The corned beef hash was good too -- I added a little hot sauce and killed it! What really stood out to us was the service. Even though this is a carryout-style place, they brought our food, condiments, and even our drinks right over to the table while we waited. Everyone was very hospitable, friendly, and welcoming. Great little spot with good food and nice people. We will definitely be going back!

It's a really fun atmosphere, especially if you're going with a group! I came with four friends and we ordered the Bavarian pretzel and Caesar salad, which were both really good. I also got the Apricot Sour, and it was AMAZING! It's hard to find a really good sour, and this one definitely did not disappoint. My friends all tried different selections, and everyone enjoyed their drinks. The only reason I'm mentioning this is because there was a little confusion with the service. When you sit inside, you're told you can order through a waitress or online. Our waitress came over once but didn't come back, so we ended up ordering online. One of my friends ordered four half beers so she could make her own flight. When the beers came out, the waitress told us that you could only have two beers in front of you at a time. We were confused because this wasn't mentioned when we ordered or stated in the ordering app. We asked about it, but weren't really given an explanation beyond that we couldn't have more than two at a time. It was a little frustrating since we had already placed the order and she brought all four beers. After that, the waitress didn't come back, so we continued ordering online. Overall, though, we had a really nice time and I would definitely come back! The brewery itself is beautiful, there are tons of drink options, the food was good, and the Apricot Sour was one of my favorites. I just wish the ordering rules and expectations had been communicated more clearly from the beginning.

The private event was held on the balcony that overlooks the outdoor seating area. Service was friendly and attentive, and the catered food onsite was pretty tasty. My favorites were the fried chicken and the cornbread. I thought the rockfish was a little too fishy, so I would not recommend that. Otherwise, all of the vegetables were fresh and the cupcakes were a nice treat. At the end of the event, we ordered some crowlers to go and they make it onsite for you with a really cool machine and its own label. If you are part of an event, they will give you 20% off items you buy. Just be sure to mention it to the person checking you out. This place is a bit of a hike for me, but I overall had a good experience!

Perfect for burning a gift card but maybe not a regular spot. My wife and I had a gift card burning a hole in our pockets, so we decided to stop into the Linthicum Heights location for Sunday brunch. Overall, the experience was totally satisfactory, though it came with a few minor hiccups. Walking in, the menu is exactly how I remember it being from my last visit years ago, though like everything else these days, the prices are a tad more expensive. I opted for the Country Boy Breakfast, which comes with sirloin tips, biscuits, gravy, and my choice of sides. I went with the dumplings and the hashbrown casserole. The flavors themselves hit the spot and tasted exactly as I remembered from previous trips. The hashbrown casserole and biscuits were solid comfort food. However, the steak tip portion was a bit of a letdown. My wife ordered the steak and eggs, and her portion of steak was easily double to triple the size of mine. It felt a little mismatched considering both are hearty breakfast plates. We also ran into some standard Sunday crowd service hiccups. Our server fumbled our drink order right out of the gate and wasn't very attentive when it came to checking back for refills. At the end of the day, it is perfectly serviceable if you want a massive, nostalgic country breakfast. But if we did not have that leftover gift card balance to use up, it would probably be a few more years before we felt the need to return.
