Apparently, teriyaki chicken platter doesn't come with teriyaki sauce and if you order an EXTRA it comes with a single sauce. Owner lost $1000 a month for us inquiring about a .50 cent sauce. My coworker suggested Charwood for lunch as a short drive from the office. Fast, reasonably priced, decent food, and easy to get to location-exactly what I want for a weekday lunch. I ordered a cheesesteak. It was on the smaller side for a cheesesteak, but good value at $6. I didn't mind because I was full but didn't want to have a food coma in the afternoon at work anyway. I got cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and hots on top, which added a nice little kick. My coworker ordered a club sandwich which looked really good. She shared a couple of her fries, and they were actually hot in comparison to the lukewarm fries at most fast food and sit down restaurants. Charwood deli is near my work so I occasionally come here. They can get really busy during lunch but they're pretty quick with your order. They do have plenty of options so it might take you a while to decide. The set up is a little confusing so let me explain. When you walk in you can order your food in the front. Then depending on whether you're paying cash or credit you can pay there or might have to go to the other register. I always get their bulldog sub. It's a sub with hot dog and steak on it. It's pretty delicious but last time I had it, it was a little dry. Usually it's not though. In addition to deli sandwiches, they also have breakfast sandwiches and salads. The little deli is cozy but cute. It's clean and bright with welcoming employees. The guy who took our order was patient with us because it took us a while. The menu is on the upper wall but he offered us a takeout menu for convenience. We had the bulgogi chicken sub and the bang bang chicken sandwich. They were good but overly salty. The fries were nice. You get a lot of food for the money though. There are fresh Korean bowls and breakfast options before 11:30. There is certainly something for everyone. I honestly don't know how anybody doesn't love this place. I can get a DELICIOUS club with chips and a pickle for $7.... that is cheaper than any fast food and 10 times better. I have been in the place, as the others said, it is small but cozy and has outside seating. We usually order for delivery and we can order for 10 and get it in half an hour. If you use a GPS whether it's Google Maps or the default app on your phone, you can get lost... It took me an extra 5 minutes to find this place manually after getting lost using the GPS. You know that this place gets packed when you see 10-15 people working there and all the tables are occupied with 4 people in front of you, waiting in line. This place HAS to be good. They have the usual breakfast and lunch fare like platters, sandwiches and wraps. But they also have their own creative creations like the Bulgogi Bull Dog which consists of beef bulgogi (Marinated Korean Beef) and a huge hot dog in a huge hot dog bun. It also has other Korean fusion dishes and other "named" items. I also got their Chicken Salad Sandwich called Theresa's. The Bulgogi Bull Dog was pretty good, however, I feel like they should have separated the 2 into their own separate sandwiches. The bulgogi was good but when I took a bite of the hotdog, it's flavor overpowered the bulgogi. The Theresa's sandwich was delicious. We went to this sandwich shop because of its great reviews on yelp and because it is 0.3 miles from the Baltimore airport car rental place. It is a small shop with some indoor and outdoor seating. My husband got the chicken bull dog sub (marinated chicken and a quality hot dog with onions and peppers) and I got the teriyaki chicken with cheese sub (with tomato, lettuce, and peppers). Both were a generous size and delicious - I only wish I would have realized mine came with mayo (so I could have ordered it without), and I surprised myself by liking the bull dog sandwich more than my own. They also had some salads, a couple soups, fries, chips, and a variety of drinks to offer. The menu doesn't give details for what is included on each sandwich, but they did list everything out when we ordered (think I missed the mayo notification because I told the man taking our order that I wanted everything it normally came with, thinking teriyaki sauce would replace any other sauce and that he was only listing veggies, which I love). I was placing my ordered over the phone today and i asked could the bacon be put into a seperate container and they lady was rude saying it come inside one container that i would have to order them separate instead of a platter i even said i would pay for a different container and she told me she cant take my order and hung up on me.
