I'm not from here, but was in the area and was looking for a comfy place to eat. Was genially welcomed, and told to sit anywhere. I did move after a while because the draft from the door, but was happily helped to move my things. The atmosphere was friendly, everyone that came through had smiles. The servers were very sweet and helpful. The food was Can't get scrapple in many locations (at least where I'm from) so I was thrilled to see it on the menu. And best of all, the prices were amazing! Surprisingly Good Food for an Old Diner Ordered: (Main) Kung Pao Chicken - 4/5 - The chicken had so much flavor, and tasted very very good. It was not authentic Chinese, but a much improved Panda Express. As many have noted, the exterior is unassuming and the interior even more so. I went here on a friend's recommendation and was very worried I would regret my decision. The interior is definitely stuck in time and looks very old-fashioned. The menu also looked very unusual because it had breakfast, American classics, and random Chinese food, which made me doubt the quality of the Chinese food. But the service was quick and friendly and the food was good. A nice little hole in the wall which should upgrade its interior to match its food. read more

What I didn't like was.... -Nobody wore gloves- even the cashier was handling cash then I saw her handle food . Never washed her hands nor put on gloves . - small kitchen and a lot of people moving in and out - no gloves - talking over the good - no hand washing etc Another lady eating behind the counter and bagging food at the same time - once again , no gloves or hand washing going on ! What a gem! This was exactly what I was looking for while staying in Linthicum for work -- I was so glad I found the photos for this place because I didn't think it would be such a cute breakfast type diner, but it totally is. They do have lunch items too, but the name threw me off a bit. We stopped by here just looking for some late-morning breakfast on a Monday, and I'm sooo happy we found this place. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by staff and found a table. It definitely had a friendly neighborhood vibe where staff seemed to know most of the people coming in. This is exactly where I would want to become a regular if I lived here full time! Staff was super kind and very attentive to anything we needed. I ordered my standard breakfast that I order everywhere -- scrambled eggs, toast, potatoes. I was not disappointed. Portions were good and prices were even better. We were looking for a late day breakfast spot in the area, and found this place. It doesn't look like a food place from the outside, but we went in. It's a small diner that had a small parking lot. Upon entering, we passed the sign that read seat yourself and approached the counter. We weren't sure if we had to order first before sitting, or if they would come and bring us a menu. The woman behind the counter seemed annoyed when I asked if we had to place our order there before sitting. She rolled her eyes and told us to take a seat. Two minutes after we sat, another young lady asked us if we wanted a drink. We both replied coffee. She came back with two cups of coffee and took our order. The food came quickly. The french toast was made on regular white bread and had a good taste to them. However, it was only two slices cut in half and came with a small scoop of butter and powdered sugar sprinkled over it. The western omelette was good, but the best thing were the homefries with onions that came with it. They were excellent and were perfectly cooked. The coffee was hot but not as strong as we would've preferred. I would've given this place a 3.5 star review, but it won't allow a half star. read more

I'm not going to lie, the outward appearance of this friendly establishment can throw you off but it has a little local charm to it, that I love seeing in my neighborhood diners & you can tell that the patrons that keep the business flowing at Linthicum are regulars as everyone seemed super comfortable communicating with the staff. I've been here 3x now & have had a scrapple omelette that completely hit the spot, cream chipped beef, that was pretty good, and another omelette variation as well. The prices are very reasonable and the food comes out really quickly. The staff is also super nice, especially considering the fact that we had no clue what to do upon entering - you seat yourself - and there's not much signage to explain things. That said, I enjoyed myself and would return again for a quick delicious meal. read more

My wife and I visited for breakfast. I got the chip beef. It was OK. As with every restaurant that serves it, there was not enough beef. So, I ended up eating mostly gravy over toast. She got the egg white veggie omelet. That was much better! She and I only wish they had a shredded cheese option instead of just the sliced cheese on the inside and out (as it was described to us). The prices are good--as you would expect from a simple, local diner. I definitely plan to go back to try the steak and eggs. read more

This is a small restaurant that doesnt look like much from the outside. You're not going to get anything exotic or fancy here. However, all the food they do offer is tasty and reasonably priced. I stopped in to Linthicum Luncheteria to grab breakfast while my wife was at her eye appointment. This is a no frills diner in the best sense, and when they say "Lunch-eteria" they mean it. Most of the items they offer are Subs and Stir Frys which look nice and filling. The only breakfast options are some premade pastries, but my Cinnamon Roll was brought to my table table nice and hot. The server was quick to ask me if I wanted a refill of my coffee, which alone makes me want to go back. In this day and age it was nice to find someplace close by that was even open (the donut shop across the street went out of business,) and they were abiding by every safety measure they could put in place (distance, sanitizer, masks, etc.) read more

Just ate there today for the first time, got the cheese steak combo. It's delicious so are the thick fries that come with it. I've lived here for two years and only now discovered them. They are tucked away in a little strip mall hidden from the road. It's obviously the best kept secret for the locals. I'll be back! read more

Excellent experience! Our connecting flight was cancelled out of BWI so we stopped here on our way driving to our destination. Excellent, prompt service by sweet servers and delicious food. What a great find! I was searching for a good breakfast spot somewhat near Arundel Mills Mall and I absolutely refused to give in to an IHOP, Denny's, Mimi's, etc. I wanted somethng diner-esque and this place was perfect. My husband was very skeptical when I told him where we were going, "Linthicum Luncheteria, really?!" and I love proving him wrong. He loved it and already wants to go back ASAP. He has benefited so many times from my awesome Yelp finds! The inside is very casual & homey, but it was more modern/updated than I was expecting and there were a lot of booths and tables for seating. We sat ourselves and had a really nice waitress. The menu was small, but pretty much had everything you could want for breakfast. The coffee was good and the refills kept coming! I had the scrambled eggs with bacon (perfectly crisp), hashbrowns (really good, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside), and toast (amazingly soft & buttery) for only $6 and it was SO much food. My husband had an equally delicious omelette that also came with homefries & toast for about $7. We loved how the dishes were like dishes you use at home. The bathrooms were clean, which is always a plus for me. I'm a breakfast lover and this is exactly what I have been looking for. Can't wait for a free weekend morning to go back! read more

I'm from the south, and that means I'm used to rough and simple diners. This is one of those places - and that's a damn good thing. Linthicum Luncheteria is a small little diner-esque place in a small town (Linthicum), making me remember of a lot of small diners from my hometown. It's clean as a whistle and very well run, but still very down to earth and - dare I say it - somewhat Southern. The clientele is definitely older. It even has an "honorary mayor" plaque for the town in it! The food is simple but good. I had a breakfast platter including wonderfully cooked eggs, nice steak, a well toasted and buttery English muffin, and grits that were as good as the south ever made. It was a damn fine breakfast and, frankly, exactly what I wanted walking into the place. Suffice to say, this isn't high-end high-dollar cuisine, but the world definitely needs more places like this. read more

I was hyped to finally get to go to this place today, and I have to say that I was kind of let down. I mean I found this place on yelp, and it's got close to a 5 star rating. I mean a breakfast spot that not only does breakfast all day, but it also does American traditional, and chinese. How can this not be a winner. I went in with my family for lunch. The lady behind the counter was very nice, and attentive. We ordered a ham and swiss sub, French toast platter, turkey melt, and a scrapple and egg sandwich (with drinks). It took some time to come out but nothing crazy. Took the food to go, and hopped on the road. First let me just say that nobody complained that they didn't like the food, but the portion's left a lot to be desired. My sub was on the small side, the french toast platter could've fit in comfortably in a big mac box, the turkey melt fell under the same umbrella. However the scrapple sandwich was very good. The food is pretty inexpensive, and I guess had I known about the portions. I still would have went here. I maybe would have gotten something i could expand on, and make more of a meal for me. It just so happened that we had to do take out because we had somewhere to be, and I didnt get to see my food until I opened it in the car. Overall like I said besides portion there was no issue with quality, or taste of the food. Next time I come i will take a little more time exploring the menu. I will definitely revise my review after I visit again, but for my first taste of Linthicum Luncheteria i wasn't blown away. It was okay. read more

This place is seriously old-school Baltimore, and if you embrace that you will enjoy your meal! Right away you'll see that it's clean and comfortable without a hint of modern pretension. The waitress was wearing a tank top and shorts -- no "uniform" to speak of here -- and she spoke with such a thick Baltimore accent I found her hard to understand (and I'm married to someone from the city.) There was a misunderstanding about one of the combo plates, but she corrected it by giving us a free side of fries, which we appreciated. I loved that there was only one page to the menu -- front, breakfast; back, lunch -- and that they offered diner classics like a tuna melt. I wanted one, but after asking I discovered that, in true Maryland fashion, they added pickle relish to their tuna salad. So instead I went with a breakfast platter: eggs, bacon and grits. The grits were very well-seasoned, which I loved; most places just cook them plain and you have to dump on salt, pepper and butter to make them palatable. My food was great, but as I watched the salad platters and wraps come from the kitchen, I wished I had ordered one: the lettuce was plentiful and crisp and green, the tomatoes looked really fresh, and even the chicken salad looked like mostly chicken with just a bit of dressing. I was nearby the area for work and stumbled across this place on yelp. I'm happy I found this spot. I called in an order to have it ready by a certain time and the lady on the phone was awesome with her customer service. I had to call back to adjust the time. No problem. Went to pick up my order and it was ready as soon as I walked in. I ordered the cheesesteak and fries. Man!! I was craving a good sub and this hit the spot. If you go, get the cheesesteak with everything. I was ready to crawl into a coma!! Lol. I recommend calling in your order if your doing take out. I ordered eggs over easy the other morning. When I received them, they were hard as could be. The replacement eggs brought were the same way. The owner, Mrs. Huang refused to make good any further, citing prices of eggs which I'm clearly aware of. She was completely rude and disrespectful to me, especially as an older person with my family. She claimed I was always hard to deal with about my eggs which is interesting since I haven't ordered eggs for breakfast in over a month. I've been going there for over 10 years and was treated rudely. My wife and I vowed never to go back. The owner needs to find a job where she doesn't have to deal with the public because she clearly does not know how to interact with others. The problem was not me, but the cook. The staff was apologetic and understanding. But I have no patience for rudeness of this type. I have quite a few friends that go there as well, but I'll not be recommending this place any longer. welll, thanks for nothing... had been eyeing this place for a cheesesteak for some time now. i had no problem with the place being a small town kinda spot without many frills as several reviewers eluded to. i just wsnted a good cheesesteak. got a little turned around and ended up right across the street. i called and a nice lady told me they were located right behind the exxon. it just takes me a minute to cross the street and im drooling by now. it was 15 mins before closing when i walked in and the asian lady behind the counter and caucasian lady counting money at the register looked at me like a deer in headlights. thought it was a lil odd, but i understood pretty quickly afterwards. when i went to order they said everything is turned off. why not say that when i called to find out exactly where they were? not to mention, why advertise open hours that u don't keep? i guess i can understand wanting to clean up, pack up, count the drawer, etc. to leave right at closing time, but if a customer does come in during business hours, u should honor ur advertised hours. what a waste of time, i definitely won't be back! hope this saves someone else the drive and frustration. if u wanna eat here, u better plan to arrive at least an hour before closing. then maybe u MIGHT be served. read more

This local spot is a great place for your breakfast or lunch. I think a very solid breakfast menu. When I am not watching my carbs - I would get the pancakes and cinnamon toast. Lunch has a wide variety of options also. Favorite is a BLT. Linthicum isn't the same without the Luncheteria. Great service. read more
