This brewery is a little tucked away, but definitely worth a stop! The menu may seem small and limited, but that's only because each beer is so good, and each one is a different style! I always appreciate breweries with a diverse menu, versus having 7 IPAs, for example. Owner is incredibly friendly and great to talk with as well. Highly recommend!

The current beer menu, they also have a Friday experiment beer, one Friday a month.

This is one that needs to get on the radar! We were at Poe's tavern for lunch at wrightsville beach and thought we'd stop at a brewery over here since we don't get in this area every day. Upon searching we found "by the beach brewery" and since we had not been to it, decided to give it a try. It's easy to get to, just off I-74 and highway 17, not far from Wrightsville and honestly on our way home anyway. We pulled in on a beautiful Saturday and the garage door was wide open and the owner, Guy, greeted us. There were four of us so we sat at the bar and decided to start with tasters, four beers sets of our liking. The beers were all pretty good, I logged them onto untapped and we spent an hour or so talking with Guy at the bar with the door open on a perfect Saturday. The beers were very good by my tasting. I recommend a visit. There is plenty of space and shade, as well as space for corn hole and food trucks. Cheers!

Great spot to stop in for a beer on your own or with friends. The beers are the best I have had in Wilmington.

One of my all time favorite breweries in North Carolina. In no particular order, its this one here…read morein Wilmington, Hopfly in Charlotte, and Wicked Weed in Asheville. All 3 have many things in common... This brewery consistently produces some amazing beer. IPAs and hazy IPAs are top notch here. They are very rare and hard to find back home (Greensboro), so I had to stock up. The space is exceptional. Huge beer hall with a large bar top area, tables, couches and comfy chairs. Add in some tv's throughout with sports on, and some foosball and shuffle board, and you have a super fun spot to hang out. The outdoor patio is super comfy as well, and surrounded by beautiful large trees. This is a place I need to stop in every time we're in the Wilmington area. For the great beer, the great space, and to take home half the store lol.

Two attentive guys behind the bar juggled orders and tidied tables without breaking stride It set a tone that the place is not only laid-back but also well-tended. We had the Blair's Breakfast Stout (coffee, lactose, and cacao nibs) super delicious! And then also the Jalapeno Saison. Definitely for the pepper fans. Both brews really hit hte mark. WBC welcomes outside food. So an easy stroll over to P.T.s Grill a block away, and back to WBC allows for you to relax and enjoy even longer. Relaxing Flavorful Downright enjoyable Yep, we'll be back.

We found through a search, and wandered into Flytrap Brewing this past weekend for the first time…read more Located at 319 Walnut Street. The space, equal parts cozy taproom and shaded beer garden, feels both vibrant and homey. If you're reading this and asking yourself what is the region's native icon, the Venus Flytrap - we have catching up to do. Read history below the review. The mood was easygoing. Two staff members, juggling orders with grace, kept the taps moving and the vibe relaxed. We had the Oatmeal Porter (dark, smooth, layered with chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel) And the Brook's Mulberry Lemonade (a blend of house-made lemonade and beer, fermented with mulberries hand-picked from Brook's garden). Both were super delicious. Flytrap Brewing sits tucked in a quiet Wilmington neighborhood, and it feels like it belongs there. The thoughtful drinks, easy crowd, and unpretentious energy, we will for sure be back! History: The Venus flytrap, scientifically known as Dionaea muscipula, is native to a limited area of the southeastern United States. With twinkly lights and cozy corners to sit in, it's also a great place for a date night. The server was friendly, hospitable, had great recommendations, and was happy to let me try a few beers before I decided what I liked. The free popcorn was a nice touch too. It's a bit off the beaten path, but not a long walk from the River Walk or Main Street at all. I did miss the bigger fly traps in the back, and the ones inside were smaller (and a different kind) than I was expecting. Still, this place has a really cool, chill, and fun vibe. Highly, highly recommend.
