Tried 'By The Bucket' last night & have to share our good experience; good food, good value, easy ordering & pickup. Order was exactly what I ordered and our family enjoyed it. We all said "I'm getting full but its so good, I keep eating." Can't wait for leftovers tonite because spaghetti is always better the next day. Thanks 'By The Bucket' for fixing dinner so I didn't have to. The cost is very reasonable, especially compared to fast food prices (for mediocre food). Great little mom and pop restaurant. I passed by it, saw the name, and decided to stop by. I order the $19.99 spaghetti bucket with garlic cheese bread. Being my first time, the owner Ed gave me a free meatball and side of Alfredo sauce to try, saying people come from miles just for their meatballs. My son tried it on the way home and said "this is the best meatball I've ever had.... It just melts in your mouth". I tried it and have to agree with him, it was the best meatball I've ever had. The spaghetti was good, I can't say it was anything too special, but it was good. The garlic cheese bread was a big hit and they gave us a whole loaf too! The Alfredo sauce was great for dipping the bread in. Overall, it was a great little place with Ed and Connie, the owners, working there. It's the kind of place and kind of people you feel good giving your hard earned money to and I plan to go there every couple weeks, if not once a week. Ed and Connie don't have a big menu, bit it's like In-N-Out Burger in that what they do make, they make very well and at a great price too. Not to mention they're lovely people. If you have not tried them before, give them a shot, it's only $20 and can feed a family of 4. I promise you won't regret it. read more

First time ordering from by the bucket. And it was delicious! Connie was very friendly and has great customer service. Food was on point. Although, I think one meatball is a little pricey, $2. I have 4 boys and typically eat 4 each. Overall, I loved this mom and pops restaurant , will definitely go there again! The spaghetti was on the sweeter end, but still good. I can't speak for the food, because I literally threw mine away as soon as I left. What is absolutely inexcusable, is the man walking around the food prep area OPEN MOUTH COUGHING Everywhere. He literally took the lid off a pot and coughed into it. I am not exaggerating when I say he choked out about 10 big juicy coughs while I sat there. No masks, not even a hand over the mouth. Just coughing like he was home alone doing a bong hit. It was so disgusting, I sat there thinking of asking for my money back, but he was so unpleasant, I decided to cut my losses. Drove past this place turned around so glad I did, grabbed some spaghetti for two, meatballs and cheese bread. No options for pasta just standard spaghetti, sauce is good, meat balls are great and the garlic and cheese bread very tasty ! The spaghetti was delicious but I only gave 4 stars because we didn't have enough noodles for two people and all the sauce. Good thing I can make noodles at home but their noodles are different. Great little "take out only" shop that keeps it simple. Small, medium or large bucket of spaghetti with a delicious marinara, with the option to add meatballs. Add in a garlic or cheesy garlic bread and you have pretty much hit everything on the menu besides caesar salad and a couple desserts. I have visited them twice, and both times ordered the small bucket, two meatballs and cheesy garlic bread. Great food at a very reasonable price. It was overcast and 62 degrees with rain predicted in the evening. All of a sudden my brain said- You need spaghetti and meatballs, so I ordered the Bambino with extra meat balls. And a Caesar. I was so looking forward to getting a By the Bucket location in the valley. Passed them in Payson but wasn't convenient to stop. Very economical for a family. Everything was cooked perfectly. Well, despite some of the negative reviews i decided i wanted to try it anyway but those negative reviews did not lie. I was hoping for the most amazing spaghetti ive ever had since thats all they serve and if thats all youre going to sell then it better be the best!! It was so basic, tasted like jar spaghetti sauce. It wasnt bad per say but definitely not a wow factor. My whole family (3 kids) all said it was sweet and stated like it came from a jar. We added a few meatballs, those were good but not big enough for the price. The garlic bread was dry and nothing special at all. I drive by this place daily and always say, we should try it so we finally did. Its a one time tried it done kind of place. $25 on a spaghetti dinner was not worth it. Oh and the "family" bucket for 5 only fed us 4 with a small portion. The bucket had a 4 inch gap from the top to where it actually started so we were disappointed in that. I was going to call and ask about the bucket being shorted but we figured we re not going to eat there anymore anyway. You need to jazz up the basic sauce and actually fill the bucket. read more
