Plain popcorn, yummmm
Max K.

Yum! Fresh popcorn still warm when served! I would 100% visit again. The popcorn was delightful.

Loved it! This was the destination for a group of women I ride motorcycles with and it was a lovely place to go. I picked up a large peanut caramel corn, large cashew caramel corn, and a small plain caramel corn. So delicious! I can see why they've been in business since 1923! Definitely recommend!

This is a must try. We've been stopping here for years and it's food each and every time. There is a line no matter what time you go because it's that good. They have a normal menu when they are open.. and they also run specials like Golden Grahams and mega mix which is all different nuts. The staff are super friendly and it's an affordable treat. The only word of caution is to buy two bags of popcorn because the car ride you will eat one full bag without effort. They are following all covid precautions

Gosh what can you say, the place is a fixture for decades. After a brief closure, Bye's is back. And the line was long and worth every cold breeze and raindrop to get our hands on a bag of fresh popped popcorn and a bag of caramel corn. There's no driving away without gobbling up handfuls of the stuff. And a quick once over with the mini vac once home for all the crumbs. This friendly, family run shop is quintessential western New York. Open until Christmas Eve this year, an even bigger treat than the prior warm months only opening.

Nostalgia for sure! Worth the quick drive from Buffalo suburbs. Delicious, not expensive, great service... what a hidden gem!

On our way back from spending the day at Olcott Beach, we passed by a little popcorn stand. I wasn't hungry and had no plans on getting any popcorn but who could resist smell of freshly popped popcorn? Not me !! They have Carmel cashews and Carmel peanut but my fave is the white popcorn. If you are in the area it is a nice summer treat!

Love this popcorn stand. I have been to Olcott a few times and everytime, this is a must stop. My favorite is their Golden Graham Carmel Corn. It is freaking amazing. I also enjoy the traditional pecan and peanut. Staff are always friendly and the popcorn is always warm. I wish I had tried their regular white popcorn. I never think about it because I have only sweet teeth. Maybe next time!

On my way home when I'm returning from the Lakeview Shoppes, I always stop at Bye's for a bag of popcorn. People go wild for this stuff. I myself prefer butter popcorn. But since they don't have that, I usually order the white popcorn. However, most people would say that their favorite flavor is the caramel popcorn with cashews. And if I had to make a recommendation, that's the one I would name too. Cashews are way better than peanuts! It's a cute little stand. Long lines are a sure sign of good food!

I don't go out thinking about getting popcorn somewhere except maybe when going to the movies, but this is better. On Food Network, Alton Brown tells you how to make homemade Slacker Jacks. Well if you are a little closer to a slacker like I am, you'd get someone else to make your candy popcorn for you and maybe a little bit better than the national option. Those smart people in Olcott thought the same thing a long time ago, in 1923 to be exact. Caramel corn plain, w/ peanuts, or w/ cashews with off season ordering on-line at Byes.Popcorn@RoadRunner.com or leave a message at (716) 751-9892. Otherwise the stand is open seasonally between March and November in the early evenings. Best to check their web site for the exact hours. A small road side stand with a pop machine standing to one side. About 1000 yards South of Lake Road, (route 18) rarely empty while open. Very popular with the locals especially on the weekends with street parking, so mind the traffic and the people about. Typically there is a line but the service is good and moves along at a fairly smooth pace. They have a kettle popping more fresh popped plain white popcorn nearly anytime I can ever remember walking up to their stand. Gourmet? Probably not but the smells and the memories are priceless, from a time gone by to this very day. It's a great stop after messing around in one of the near by parks or fishing with the kids. It's comes very highly recommended and yea, I expect to be back. I like mine, a little white popcorn between bites of caramel corn. It reduces my thirst, at least until I can get home. OK, lots of each but it's good.

Super cute and well run orchard and winery. We wanted to get out, enjoy the weather and pick some…read moreapples this year. I looked up some reviews and LynOaken was highly recommended and offered a lot of varieties. A huge bonus was that there was a winery next door! I called in advance to see what the U-pick varieties were for the date I was looking to go because all the varieties are not ready to be picked at once. This year they had an online reservation system set up due to the pandemic. $7 included parking and a small bag of non specialty apples. You could buy more u-pick or prepicked apples on site. When you arrive there is a super cute country store set up with pre picked apples, cider, baked goods, vegetables and other treats. Once you check in there are wagons you can use to lug apples or transport kids which was a nice bonus. The area is large but not too spread out so it's nice to take a family and kids can't go too far. The staff is helpful and knows a lot about their products. Delicious and fresh apples and very clean and well run place. The winery, Leonard Oakes Estates, next door also had outdoor seating. I think there was indoor as well if you wanted. $10 got you 3 generous tastings and an ample choice of charcuterie, nuts, etc. There were a lot of tasty wine and ciders to choose from. Overall a fun day with tons of yummy options to choose from.

Each year, my family and I choose a different orchard to apple pick at. This year, Lynoaken was…read morechosen. The farm is connected to Leonard Oaks Winery, as well as a store that sells jams, honey, candy, cider, little cute trinkets and gifts, etc. They also have homemade baked goods for sale as well. The trees aren't as large as some of the other more established orchards, but they get the job done. I like this place because there are so many varieties of apples. They do offer a tractor ride to the orchard, however, it is such a short ride from where you purchase your apple picking bag, that there is really no reason to take the lift. The orchard is set up with wooden signs that are red, yellow and green, letting you know what varieties are safe to pick, or ones that could be picked, or apples that should not be touched. I tried a red signed apple, not realizing it was in the red zone, and I could see why you wouldn't want to eat that one yet. The employees are helpful and friendly. The area where you purchase your apple picking bag also has a bunch of apples that you can purchase without hiking into the orchard. There are also fresh doughnuts (that were extremely yummy,) and popcorn for sale. There is also a sign telling you what apples are ready to be picked. There is a little play area for kids containing houses, and wagons as well.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away... or does that not work if the apple is covered in caramel,…read morechocolate, and Oreo cookie crumbs? Regardless it was delicious, and definitely one of the few items in the whole place that had a healthy twist, but what do you expect in a chocolate shop? This is a small shop in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake and as soon as I walked in I knew I needed one of the caramel apples. They had a quite a variety of different toppings but I chose the cookies and cream one which tasted as good as it looked. The apple was juicy and the caramel coating was chewy and tasty and blended well with the chocolate and crushed cookies. They sliced it to make it easier to eat which was good. The store had a variety of other fine chocolates as well including homemade fudge, chocolate covered strawberries and an assortment of other chocolates. All were a little bit pricey, but also expected in a touristy area like this. All in all a great place to stop in for a treat when vacationing or visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The store is very nice and clean. The chocolates are beautifully displayed. I also liked that there was an employee measuring ingredients right behind the counter!
