Tasty popcorn in several different varieties. They will let you sample before purchasing . Small or large bags , as well as fudge , candy and unique flavored soda for sale . I was there for the popcorn though . I got a bag of orange chocolate popcorn and almost got a bag of the loaded baked potato popcorn but decided last minute to get the pizza kind since it was so popular and I liked the sample . Can't wait to get back there and try some new flavors. I think this is a nice idea for a stocking stuffer, so I'll be back closer to the holidays . read more

A nice, locally owned and run family business. They use a special kernel of corn (marshmallow) so the popped kernels are huge and fluffy, more to hold onto the special flavor coatings. Mrs. Chenez treated us to several samples that were so tasty we just had to buy them. The Buffalo Style was a mixture of spicy and sweet, including the flavor of Frank's Hot Sauce. We even received a free little bag of butter flavor to taste and report back with our opinion. It reminded me of movie theater popcorn but was not greasy. We will recommend to them to add it to their selections. Be sure to take a drive to Lockport and try several small business that are treasures in this town that has a lot going for it. So many options for popcorn. They had at least 30 different flavor options. We tried Carmel so far and it was delicious. Sometimes you worry about buying popcorn thinking maybe it's stale. That is not the case with this place. It was perfect. I highly recommend this place if you like popcorn. They also have candy, fudge, and some of the most unique pops to choose from. I believe we met the owner and his daughter today. They were so friendly. When my daughter wasn't sure what flavor to pick he let her test a sample. Customer service is top notch here. read more

My first trip to Chenez's Popcorn and I'm thrilled with our purchase! I don't even like popcorn that much but these were absolutely delicious! The Fruit Medley flavor tastes just like Trix cereal, or Froot Loops. There are 6 colors and each color is a different flavor. The Cotton Candy flavor looks pretty. It doesn't taste like cotton candy really, but it's still tasty and kids would love the pink and blue colors. Lemme tell you about the Caramel Cashew bag. It is so delicious!! That brown sugar, brown butter, almost burnt taste? Absolutely the best caramel popcorn I've ever had. Fantastical. The employee was handing out requested sample flavors, and I heard her say that she changed gloves after touching a nut flavor, so that's good to hear for anyone who may be allergic. CPop is over an hour away, thankfully, but if I'm ever in the area again I'd have to stop. read more

If you haven't tried Chenez's Popcorn you need to get there as soon as possible! This locally owned gourmet popcorn shop is amazing and their popcorn is to die for! I've visited their Lockport location and they also have a second location in Olcott. It also is featured in certain local specialty food stores like Buffalo Artisan Food Traders. Another option is shopping online on their website and they will ship it right to your door! Their popcorn flavors are limitless from savory to specialty to plain to cheese to candied. There are sooo many choices! Some of my favorites are the Peanut Butter Crunch, Orangetastic and Buffalo Style! Recently they launched Shout Mix which is a special Buffalo Bills popcorn. It's blue and red popcorn tossed in a white chocolate and in the mix there's M&M's, pretzel sticks and peanuts....sooo good!!! I've chatted with the owner every time I've visited and he's super nice. Chenez's Popcorn has been around selling their popcorn online and in other businesses. This week they finally opened up their own retail store to sell their amazing popcorn. When you walk in you notice a modern feel to the store. To your left you can look into a window and see them making the popcorn. Right at the door there are tables with 31 different kinds of popcorn that you can sample. Then you can pick out which kinds you want to buy. They come in 3 sizes. Small, medium and large. The prices vary for each size based on what kind of popcorn it is. For example, a small peaches & cream was $8 and a small salt & vinegar was $5. All depends on the type. They also sell bins of some flavors. They have the following type of flavors: savory, candied, chocolate, cheese, caramel, nutty, plain and simple, unconventional and insanely hot. My brother and I both picked out our two favorite kinds we tasted. I bought a small peaches and cream and apple crisp the total was around $17. He picked salt and vinegar and dill pickle the total was around $10. The lady working was really friendly and nice. She asked if we had the popcorn before and I told her the cotton candy and a few others. She also asked where we were from. Said it was really busy since they opened the other day. In addition to popcorn they sell snacks and tons of candy, especially old fashioned candy that you don't see at many places. They sell drinks as well that included some weird flavors like peanut butter and jelly soda and buffalo chicken wing soda to name a few. They sell t-shirts as well. Was a good experience and I definitely recommend going there. The hours are 11am-7pm Tuesday-Saturday and Sunday 12pm-4pm. Closed Mondays. read more

I visit here at least a couple times a month because my music studio is very close by and mostly because of Chenez' Buffalo Cheddar popcorn. Chenez's is WNY's newest, and quite possibly BEST popcorn shop sensation!! :-D We were on our way home from our camp, and stopped in Chenez's on a whim on a Sunday afternoon. Pretty much everything else in Lockport appears to be closed on Sundays, but Chenez's is open. It is a super-bright-and-fun family-owned popcorn shop, with all of their traditional and creative-flavored popcorns all made in-house. The wall of flavor-varieties is abundant. There is plain, and then several salty-based flavors, many with nuts and candies mixed in, some cheesy. Then there are a bunch of techni-colorful-coated sweet flavors, like lemon, root beer, orange, grape, mixed fruit, and more. Our son went with a bag of cotton candy flavored popcorn. My husband grabbed their signature caramel corn. Unfortunately no vegan flavors here at this time, so our vegan daughter grabbed a Chick-o-Stick from the candy-shop side of the store, which has a bunch of throw-back candies and bizarre flavored sodas. As for keto-me, it's a definite no-go for me here, hahaha. That's fine, I would not expect a gourmet popcorn and candy shop to cater to the sugar-free crowd. :-P But it would be awesome if they could add a few vegan flavors to the line-up, as vegans (who aren't also keto anyway, hehe) usually do LOVE their sugar!! :-D We chatted with the clerk for quite a while, who happened to be Mr. Chenez himself. He and his wife started the business in 2019, walking away from the corporate grind to do something they loved. From making popcorn on their kitchen stovetop for friends and family, to eventually opening this lovely shop, they have such an inspiring story. It was so nice talking with Mr. Chenez, but the true test of the biz--how did our fam' like the popcorn?? Well, when the guys ripped into their bags on the drive home ... SUPER-BIG THUMBS UP ALL AROUND!! One thing I can clearly see about Chenez's, even without eating the popcorn myself, is they really LOAD UP THE COATINGS!! And my son and husband definitely LOVED this super-sweet treat. The coated popcorns are fully, generously drenched with sugary-sticky-flavorful YUM that adds a little sticky-snap to each crunchy bite. I have my eye-on-the-prize right now with sugar-free-keto, but when I hit my goals, I'm definitely coming back to Chenez's for a celebratory snack for myself!! :-D The prices are very reasonable too, at $6 - $8 for a good sized small bag, which seems fair for the quality of this local homemade treat. My son and husband definitely want to come back to eat their way through more of the flavors. And if Chenez's does eventually add a vegan-friendly flavor or two, our vegan daughter will be part of that caravan, as well. When you walk into Chenez's, you cannot help but be ALL SMILES, so do yourself a favor and get over there for some sweet smiles and sweet treats now!! :-D read more

We stopped into their new store in Kenmore on their opening day. The store is small with half used to sell popcorn and the other side used to sell pop and candy. We purchased a bunch of different popcorns.. all were very good. The staff is super friendly and offered samples to try. Love to support local businesses. read more

Ended up going here on the wife's impulse. Glad I listen to her! The popcorn choices they offer are fairly extensive, and the service was eager to assist. They are very knowledgeable on their products and were able to steer us to the correct flavor we were looking for. We will be back. Seem like my wife says it will be a every other week schedule now.
