I did my wedding invitations through Write for You. They were beyond unprofessional throughout the entire experience. While I had issues with the company for our 6-month interaction, here are the three most egregious interactions: 1. For an 8-week period of time a few months before my wedding, I was unable to get ahold of anyone at the shop. I emailed and called many times. I only heard back after leaving a final message asking if the business was still open and if I'd need to find another vendor. 2. Two months out from my wedding, I received notification that my invitations had arrived. On the same day, I received an invoice that included a $300 charge above my quote. This wasn't the first out-of-the-blue charge that had occurred in my interactions with Write for You. The owner told me this charge was for "ribbons and labor" and thus would not remove it. I was not previously notified of this charge and said I would only pay for what I was quoted. We went back and forth and the interaction eventually ended with: the owner yelling over the phone, the owner telling me she couldn't believe I was arguing over $300 because it's only $300, and the owner threatening to withhold the invitations. She also notified me that both she and her husband were lawyers. I ended up paying the extra amount because I needed the invitations (a fact she certainly knew). 3. Finally, after all of that, there was a typo on the invitations. Not only did Write for You refuse to reprint the invitations or refund me for any of the cost, but I couldn't even get someone to respond to my emails and calls. Presumably because I'd already paid. I don't think I can convey in a review what a terrible and exasperating experience this was the entire time. But I hope to convey to anyone thinking of using Write for You - avoid, avoid, avoid!

My fiance and I sat down with the store employee and we wrote down exactly what we wanted on the invitation. She informed me that I would be emailed a proof "next week" and the invitations would be ready shortly after. You would think that you would hear from them within 48 hours (business days of course). On Wednesday I still didn't hear from them. On Thursday, they emailed me a proof. I checked on my iphone for the design but didn't double check all the wording since we sat down with the store employee and wrote down exactly what we wanted on the invitation. We drove up to NY and I showed my in-laws and noticed that instead of printing out Saturday they had printed out Sunday. I was so confused because 04 August is a Saturday and I wrote down exactly what I wanted on the invitation. I ended up having to repay the amount for the invitations. On top of that, I ordered 40 invitations and since they made another mistake, I only got back 39. They did not apologize. If you're planning any special event, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. They are not timely and they do not meet basic customer satisfaction like giving you back what you order. I am so glad that I ONLY ordered engagement party invitations from them & nothing more.
