DO NOT GO HERE. I went here a year ago and haven't gotten my toes done since because I am so paranoid since that experience! I like my toenails long, I come with natural long nails. They INSIST on cutting them to shape them instead of FILING TO SHAPE TO KEEP LENGTH. Today the same thing almost happened but I left when she directly told me she's cutting it because that's her way. She also tried to upsell me to a $70 pedicure when I asked for a basic pedicure because I already filed my feet and used a pumice stone 10min before coming and she said I have calluses and were dry . I showed her the file and pumice stone and said I just took a shower less than 10min before coming and I didn't use any oil or lotion since I knew I was coming here. I left a $5 tip for their time, but then the lady chased me out and grabbed my arm to give me the money back, there was a customer in there too. I'm so upset and it's the second time I left this place crying. Bad vibes from the nail tech.

LOVE it here!! Vivian always does a PERFECT job with my gelx sets. Her application process is flawless and efficient. Parking is a little tough in the area, so definitely recommend using SpotHero to book parking in advanced. It's a salon in a rougher area, but prices are SO fair and they do a fantastic job! Update: Yes, they called me. 4 hours after I left, and after they noticed my review. They wouldn't have reached out otherwise. I sat in the chair for 2 minutes before I left. No one said anything, no one stopped me from leaving, in actuality the guy asked if I wanted to proceed or NOT, so waiting until after the review still doesn't sit well with me. I wanted to try out this nail salon because it's close to the house (new to LA), and I'd like the typical classic acrylic set. I am a reviewer, so therefore I look at reviews for quality of service, what's being said about the vibes of the techs, etc. I noticed a few reviews about Vivian, and from the pics I felt like it would be the perfect match for the type of shape and nails that I liked. I went on THEIR website to book my appointment. Vivian was available, so I scheduled for 4pm. I received a confirmation email. I locate the place, struggle with finding parking because of the location, but lucked up on a spot. A part of me wanted to just go elsewhere, but again I need a place by my house that can be my main place. I pay for parking and arrive on time for my appointment. Not a lot of people in there, but I notice what looks like Vivian is freshly starting on someone's nails. The same person I noticed is the same person who told me to have a seat. She KNEW what I booked when I said I had an appointment at 4. So I sit down, still thinking to myself "this looks like Vivian and that lady's nails are nowhere close to being done." Still interested in the services I was going to offer to get a pedicure in the meantime until she finishes. Why not. Instead, I was approached by a man who was getting prepared to do my nails. So I asked, when will Vivian be done. She FINALLY says something, and it's "I already have a 4 o'clock appointment and I have one at 5 too." So I'm like, "oh okay, interesting." -/ I left. It's the principle. You clearly chose who nails you wanted to do, and it wasn't mine even though I made an appointment. At the very least, you could've called me and gave me the option to choose to come or reschedule. Really disappointed but this is becoming a common theme I see, in LA.

I've been coming here since grand opening it's been About a year and 1/2 ago. still coming back because service has always been Friendly. They do a nice job even when the place is full. If you need a new nail spot, look no further. I have been coming here since I started living in the area and I swear, getting my nails done is always going to be top tier quality and hit my standards. I'm not the pickiest, but I do have a specific aesthetic and they get it right every time! I get my nails done by Vivian, but also by Jimmy. Both are amazing! I also get my pedicures done here too! No complaints! It is a super chill spot, and the vibes are great! They are a great bunch of nail artists!

Emily is a total gem -- she gave me the most relaxing pedicure and a facial that left my skin glowing like never before. I went with the color "Funny Bunny" and it's the perfect soft, elegant shade. Absolutely love this nail shop! The atmosphere was clean, relaxing, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The staff was professional, friendly, and paid attention to every detail. My nails came out even better than I imagined -- neat, beautiful, and long-lasting. They really take their time to make sure you leave happy. This is the BEST nail salon and face spa in LA. Emily is such an amazing person. My nails came out so bomb thanks to a pedi from Emily and a mani from Destiny. Had to get my nails done because it was going to break. Never coming here again definitely not work the $90. For short gel nails. If you can't do a design please say you can't do it. I must have gotten the person they give you when you don't want business back. He smokes a cigarette between every step. The paint chipped the next day because he didn't care to take the time to do the one design with care. Definitely not worth almost $100 I would have paid the price the extra $40. If I knew the nails would only last a day and gone to the other salon down the street. Prices are too high for this quality. My regular girl would have charged me $50 for this mess. read more

Emily was an absolute delight. I only came for acrylic removal on hands and a pedicure and while the services themselves were good, the customer service is what made my experience exceptional. Hi, please excuse my delay in responding. Yes we made a reservation and arrived for a rather early appointment. We paid what I considered an excessive amount and didn't receive the type of nail service we'd expect for the price charged. Plus, our nails were damaged. My partner didn't ask for gels but got them anyway. The charge is on a credit card. I will not be sending you a receipt opy or anything like that. I desperately needed to get my gels removed, but didn't have very long. They were able to fit me in for a quick removal. Destiny was able to do a very thorough job in only about 10 minutes! I was able to stop back in a few days later and she took care of shaping my nails and cleaning up my cuticles. The space is clean and well-ventilated. I love that this place is around the corner from my apartment and can accommodate a walk-in on the weekend. read more

This is the place to go. Service is 10/10. Quality for the price you pay. The vibe is great, listen to music while you get your nails done. Salon is very clean. Been getting my nails done by Vivian for about 5? Years now, I literally don't go to anyone else unless I'm out of town. Always easy to make an appt, and takes her time with your nails, I've never felt rushed. Any picture I show for design, she recreates with no problem. Jimmy does my pedicure and he's literally amazing! I get my facials by Emily and my skin is glowing. It's always good people watching since it's in dwtwn, shop is clean, the music is always so good! Although Camp Flog Gnaw was canceled, my friends and I were determined to still enjoy our weekend -- and Byoung Nails & Spa absolutely saved the day. I absolutely love coming in to get my nails done by vivian and jimmy. They are the only two people I have let do my nails over the past 4 years. My experience has always been nothing but enjoyable. This is unprofessional; how dare you charge a client knowing you burned/over process their eyebrows. Amanda didn't even do a skin test to make sure the chemicals she uses won't burn my skin, which I know professionals do all the time oh and she didn't even do a questioner. Please don't come here. Instead of owing towards her mistake Amanda accuse the client for her mistakes. Thanks to Amanda my eyebrow are black crusty and my skin was burned. Thank you Amanda for making me look like my eyebrows where drawn by a sharpie really appreciate that gangster look. People please do your research and go with a technician that is license and follows protocol such as a chemical/skin check and questioner. I learned my lesson and will do my research before I book an appointment with anyone. Please avoid at all cost

The prices have changed, but the quality of the service is still great. Although I can't speak for their waxing services, I see a lot of women come in just for this reason. The interior hasn't changed much throughout the years. Probably just the location of the register. The exterior is also showing its age. Nonetheless, the value is worth overlooking these minor cosmetic items. I am happy with the eyebrow threading I get done at Kamana Beauty Palace and would recommend it to others.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.
